Say it isn’t so! According to The New York Sun, Mayor Michael Bloomberg may escort Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to Ground Zero.

The fact that I’m even having to write this is absolutely stunning. The idea that any U.S. official especially the Mayor of New York would let that terrorist thug set foot on Ground Zero is difficult to comprehend.

He’s lucky he gets to set foot on U.S. soil to begin with and should only be permitted to conduct his official business at the U.N. and nothing more. Iran is killing our soldiers and actively trying to destabilize Iraq, holding a U.S. hostage, and continuing to develop nuclear weapons.

Allowing the leader of the world’s number one sponsor of terrorism to tour Ground Zero is pathetic and Bloomberg should resign if he goes through with it. Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney had some choice words on this issue saying

“It’s inconceivable that any consideration would be given to the idea of entertaining the leader of a state sponsor of terror at ground zero,” Mr. Romney said in a statement. “This would deeply offend the sensibilities of Americans from all corners of our nation. Instead of entertaining Ahmadinejad, we should be indicting him.”

Mr. Hoenlein, the vice chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations told the The New York Sun,

“the Iranian president should be restricted to the immediate vicinity of the U.N. and should not be permitted to travel the full extent of the 25-mile radius that is normally allowed for foreign dignitaries attending meetings at the world body.”

I have a feeling a lot of people are gonna be pissed in New York City and all across the country that anyone would entertain such an outrageous idea.
