Israel Frees 57 Palestinian Prisoners

Israel once again showed an act of good faith towards the Palestinians by releasing 57 Palestinian prisoners (terrorists) today. Most of the prisoners released were members of Hamas, but a spokesman for Hamas dismissed Monday’s prisoner release as insignificant.

“We congratulate the prisoners,” said Mohammed al-Mudhoun a senior aid to Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Hamas government in Gaza. “We consider this … a humiliation for the leadership in Ramallah that considers this humble number a great achievement.”

I’m sure this act of good faith by Israel will be rewarded with a thank you note in the form of a suicide bombing, but I don’t mean to sound cynical.
