Britain is no longer the most loyal ally in Europe according to an article in today’s Telegraph. It seems that Prime Minister Gordan Brown doesn’t share the same close relationship with President Bush that Tony Blair did.
President Bush used to talk to Tony Blair almost everyday or at least several times a week, but has only spoken to Gordon Brown twice by phone in the last three months.
The man who Bush sees as his greatest ally in Europe for the moment is newly elected French President Nicolas Sarkozy. This is a welcome change from the Chirac Administration which created the chilliest relationship between Washington and France in years.
