Dog The Bounty Hunter’s Racist Rant Caught on Tape

Dog Chapman has been captured spewing racist slurs on a tape originally obtained by The National Enquirer.

The star of the A&E reality show Dog, The Bounty Hunter directed his racist hatred at his son Tucker’s girlfriend Monique Shinnery, who is black. Dog’s tirade is littered with profanity and the N-Word.

Now civil rights leaders are calling for A&E to remove his show from the airwaves. In my opinion this is about 10 million times worse than what Don Imus lost his radio program for.

It’s a real disappointment to hear Dog talking like that. I would never have imagined him to be like that, but it proves once again that TV is just an illusion.

UPDATE:  A&E has officially suspended the television program Dog The Bounty Hunter while this incident is under investigation.

    Imus said it on the airwaves, Dog said it in privacy. Dog should keep his show and disown his child

    You make an interesting point about the privacy issue. However, there’s still no justification he will be able to give for talking that way even in private.

    I’m betting he beat his son half to death after the tape became public. I just wonder if the son was in on the setup as far as the recording goes.

    He sounds like a redneck piece of shit on that tape and a lot of people are gonna be pissed.

    While I did enjoy his show, I always thought Dog and his family looked like white trash. I guess they really are.

    While it was a private phone call, the fact that he talks that way in private is not gonna site well with people.

    A&E is gonna dump his ass!

    most ppl have the misconceptione that because they are in there homes or other private places, that it is ok to be racist. but that is not the case, racism is racism no matter where it is, and no matter who says it. being racist in private only adds to the problem becoming more and more odvious in america.

    Yeah, unfortunately his business got out into the streets. Man nothing shocks me anymore, I am willing to bet any public figure you can name, yes even down to the pope, has used a derogatory word at some point in time during private conversations. The key is that when you are in the public spot light, you have to be more cognizant of what you say. God knows that I have gone off on white folks (in the privacy of my own home), just to vent my frustration at times with the systems. I definitely don’t want to lose my livelihood (job) over it. Calling for Dog’s job will not solve a thing, other than probably ruin him financially. It almost seems that we as Americans need to have an open forum on race relations, and stop avoiding the issues. Lord knows we have issues.

    I’m a 40 year old african american woman, and I wonder if the entire world has gone insane. Is this what happens behind closed doors in white america??? I did enjoy his show and thought that he appeared to be a decent guy. Maybe his son set him up and wanted the world to know what kind of man his father really is. Too bad for him but Thanks for the info.

    Roschell, I think you raise a very good point. As a white person, I can tell you that this is NOT what happens behind closed doors in white America.

    It’s so damaging to race relations when something like this happens. Although, I think the best disinfectant for racism is to have it exposed.

    Dog doesn’t speak for me or anyone I know whether in public or private, and I will NEVER watch his show again.

    No. 1. His son had NO business airing their dirty laundry for a measley 15 hundred bucks!!!!Or wahtever it was.
    No. 2. So what, I would not want my son going with a Black person either!!!! That is our opinion and business….I know there are some Blacks that does not want their kids to go with a HONKEY…. It is a shame, we WHITE people even says the N word and blacks go friggin nuts!!!!! Because they really hate us white people also. But I have heard 1 black call another black the N word and they are fine with that…..what is up with that B.S.? Personally for me, I think blacks should all go to Africa and leave us white people ALONE!!!!!!! Then we would not have this kind of crap to listen too.

    my opinion is that the chapman family are out for what they can get.
    they put on a holier than thou showon forthe people with there prayingin public.
    do they honestly think that this fools us all?
    i come from england and we dont bow to shallow ways and freaky shows of affection and dog, beth and family dont fool me or the rest of the english people for a minute.
    keep earning the money that the tv pays you for your piece of showmanship trash you portray on tv. you are obviously earning good money for your false displays.
    know this DOG, FOOLED, WE ARE NOT.

    I think the point he was making is that most of us have made racist remarks (even though we probably wouldnt admit it) to vent frustration we might have felt at the time towards another race but its not really how we feel deep down. Im sure on some of his bounties when in private he probably referred to some of them as Ni***rs, or Sp*cs or whatever race it might have been. But where he went wrong is revealing the fact over an answering machine. Very bad idea. It really will just ruin his reputation and make a lot of people do a total 360 as far as how they felt about him. I will commend him on coming on national TV and apoligizing, but this is one to many racist strikes against caucasians. I take solice in knowing I was raised colorblind. You know is you asked a racist person what they hate about a particular race and they as usual went on to rant, I can guarantee you everything they would say you could find in all races. Ive heard comments before where a white person will call another race lazy, and its funny me being white Ive seen numerous whites that are lazy as hell. I thought we were all part of the human race not the color race. God bless all people.

    I can’t believe what I just heard him say. I honestly thought that dog was one of the good guys. That just goes to show you racism will always exist. What people won’t say in public they say behind the doors of there houses. I think that his show should be cancelled effective immediately. He said he wasn’t going to risk his career in his rude racail rants. Funny I hopes hes never allowed to bounty hunt again. What if he has to hunt a black person. Only god knows what he would do to them.

    Wow! Are we in the year 2007! I am a Black woman and married to a White man. It amazes me that there is still the amount disgust in the world between the black and white race. It was so wrong for him or anyone, black or white to use these type of words. But in the same token its wrong to have such angrer and hatred for any other race. I can only pray that at some point the world begins to learn that we are all the same. All created in the resemblance of our God and Savior.
