Ann Coulter: How Long Before The A.D.L. Kicks All the Jews Out?

Ann Coulter has once again used witty satire to make an incredibly valid point. Why do Jews continue to support the Democratic party? Israel would just be called Palestine today if the Democrats had been in charge the last six years.

The Democrats are largely against our support for Israel and love to make evil references to the “Jewish lobby” that the Federal government is allegedly beholden to.

I don’t think it’s Jews in general that continue to support the Democrats, but specifically American Jews that do. If you want to be even more specific, it’s the Hollywood Jews that always vote Democrat.

I can assure you that the politics of Rob Reiner, David Geffen, and others would be quite different if they were in danger of being killed in a suicide bombing on a daily basis. American Jews that haven’t lived under the constant threat of terrorism at the hands of Muslim killers can easily vote for a Democrat, but an Israeli Jew would look at things a little differently.

Israeli Jews probably understand better than anyone how dangerous the appeasement policies of the Democratic party are. They understand how important national security is, and aren’t likely to go weak in the knees if a terrorist is subjected to waterboarding.

Ann points out in her column that the A.D.L. which is supposed to exist to help Jewish people, is usually in favor of policies that do just the opposite.

Coulter goes on to say,

Liberal Jews are on a collision course with themselves. They can’t reconcile the survival of Israel with their conception of themselves as liberals. The liberal coalition has turned against them. Jews are out; Khalid Sheikh Mohammed is in. The new king knows not Joseph.

I never really gave much thought to how bizarre it is for a Jew to also be a liberal. The two things just don’t go together, at least not in the Jewish homeland (what’s left of it).
