Karl Rove: “The Horns and Tail are Retractable”
It’s nice to see a room full of good Americans willing to shout back at the nutty anti-war thugs who don’t like differing viewpoints to be heard. “The horns and tail are retractable” was a good line as well.

Rapper Remy Ma Convicted In ‘07 Shooting
Rapper Remy Ma thought a woman in her entourage stole $3,000 from her purse so she pulled out a .45 caliber pistol and shot her outside a nightclub last year.
Remy claimed that she did indeed shoot the woman, but it was accidental. She tried to snatch the woman’s purse from her to see if the missing money was inside and the gun went off during the scuffle.
Naturally, the jury rejected the ridiculous story and found her guilty of intentional assault and several other charges. Remy Ma whose real name is Remy Smith is now facing a maximum of 25 years in prison, but a minimum of 10 years.
Remy Ma maintained an arrogant swagger throughout the trial, wearing flamboyant clothing and acting as if the whole episode was movie and not real life.
The judge wasn’t amused and ordered her to remain in jail until her sentencing later this month. Meaning that Remy Ma has at a minimum 10 years to figure out why she threw her life and career away for $3,000.
Ms. Smith, 26, kept her composure as Justice Rena K. Uviller ordered her jailed until her sentencing next month.
It was only when court officers slammed the heavy door to the courtroom holding cell behind her that she broke down, wailing, “My son! My son!” over and over again. Mr. Fisher said later that Ms. Smith had been so optimistic that she would be acquitted that she had not said goodbye to her 8-year-old son that morning.
Now that’s gangsta!

Rapper T.I. Pleads Guilty To Firearms Charges
Rapper T.I. pled guilty to federal firearms charges last Thursday and received the deal of a lifetime. T.I. was already a convicted felon which bars him from owning any firearms under any circumstances. So when he was caught trying to purchase fully automatic machine guns with silencers in Atlanta some months back, he was looking at serious time.
He pleaded guilty to possession of an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Harris was arrested Oct. 13, just blocks away and hours before he was to headline the BET Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta.
He was charged with possession of unregistered machine guns and silencers, as well as possession of firearms by a convicted felon. He faced a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count.
The judge apparently felt that T.I. could do more for the community as a free man than beyond bars for decades and agreed to a sweet plea deal. In return for a guilty plea, T.I. must spend 1500 hours talking to kids about the perils of gangs, guns, and gangsters, followed up by 1 year in prison.
His prison time could be increased or reduced, depending on his fulfillment of the terms of the deal and good behavior, they said. If he acts right he could be back on the street in about 8 months, so all things considered T.I. is getting a second lease on life.
If he’s smart he’ll spend his year in prison writing a few new albums and then come out with some hit records. Let’s hope he makes the best of this legal miracle he’s been blessed with.

Al-Sadr: “No Handover Of Arms”
In yet another sign of weakness by the fledgling Iraqi government, radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr and his outlaw Mahdi Army will not have to turn in their weapons as part of the latest cease fire in Basra.
Followers of Shi’ite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr will not hand over their weapons as part of a move to end a week of fighting in Iraq, a top Sadr aide said.
The aide, Hazem al-Araji, also said that Sadr’s followers had received a guarantee from the government that it would end “random arrests” of Sadr followers.
“The weapons of the resistance will not be delivered to the Iraqi government,” he told journalists at Sadr’s office in the holy city of Najaf after distributing a statement from Sadr calling on followers to stop fighting.
“We confirm that there were guarantees taken from the Iraqi government to fulfill all the points in this statement. Thus, no more random arrests,” he said.
Sadr’s statement also called for the government to halt arrests of his followers and implement an amnesty law to free prisoners.
So basically the latest battle with Al-Sadr’s militia was just another dog and pony show by the Iraqi government, since they clearly have no intention of actually defeating Muqtada al-Sadr. It’s absolutely stunning that a terrorist like al-Sadr is allowed to continue running wild with his own army of thugs.
President Nouri al-Maliki needs to appreciate the sacrifice that the U.S. has made and is continuing to make to ensure that Iraq has a stable future, by actually trying to win a battle.
The U.S. military should just go around al-Maliki and drop a 2,000 lb. bomb right on al-Sadr’s head next time he holds a press conference. Al-Sadr’s militia has captured Humvees and other vehicles from the cowardly Iraqi police and committed atrocities across the city of Basra.
Unfortunately, the Iraqi President lacks the courage to do what’s necessary to win and act like a leader. Over the last two weeks another handful of U.S. soldiers are dead and the Iraqi’s are just as weak and corrupt as they’ve ever been.
I have been a supporter of this conflict from day one and firmly believe it’s in our country’s best interest to make Iraq a success. However, if the Iraqi’s aren’t going to be as committed to victory as we are then there’s no point in sacrificing anymore American lives.
It’s a disgrace for the U.S. military to participate in dog and pony shows put on by the Iraqi government that end in a stalemate. Al-Maliki claims he wants to rid Basra of the Mahdi Army and bring it under control of the government, but then he plays games with al-Sadr and lets him keep his weapons.
The Iraqi government needs to get it together and act like they give a sh*t about that pile of dirt in the desert they call home.

Al-Sadr Pulls Back
Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr said today that he was pulling his fighters off the streets nationwide and called on the government to stop raids against his followers and free them from prison.
Al-Sadr’s nine-point statement was issued by his headquarters in the holy city of Najaf and broadcast through loudspeakers on Shiite mosques. It said the first point was: “taking gunmen off the streets in Basra and elsewhere.”
He also demanded that the Iraqi government stop “haphazard raids” and release security detainees who haven’t been charged, two issues cited by his movement as reasons for fighting the government.
Iraqi President Nouri Al-Maliki welcomed Sadr’s move to prevent the conflict from widening, but warned that anyone who doesn’t heed Sadr’s call will be treated as an outlaw.
The prime minister, himself a Shiite, has called the fight “a decisive and final battle” and vowed to remain in Basra until government forces wrest control from militias, including the Mahdi Army that is loyal to radical cleric Muqtada al-Sadr.
But al-Maliki also acknowledged Saturday that he may have miscalculated by failing to foresee the strong backlash the offensive would provoke in Baghdad and other cities where Shiite militias wield power.
Unfortunately, the Iraqi President has allowed politics to get in the way once again when attempting to deal with Al-Sadr. He should take advantage of the U.S. forces while they’re still in the country to rid Iraq of Muqtada al-Sadr and his Mahdi Army.
Each time Iraqi forces deal a blow to al-Sadr, they pull back and allow him to regroup and rearm under another so-called “cease fire”. President Al-Maliki needs to stop playing politics and finish the job once and for all or Iraq will never have a chance at becoming a stable country.

U.N. Chief Calls Dutch Anti-Koran Film “Un-Islamic”
From Reuters:
U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Friday condemned as “offensively anti-Islamic” a Dutch lawmaker’s film that accuses the Koran of inciting violence.
Ban acknowledged efforts by the government of the Netherlands to stop the broadcast of the film, which was launched by Islam critic Geert Wilders over the Internet, and appealed for calm to those “understandably offended by it.”
It’s a sad day when the United Nations condemns a movie for being anti-Islamic. Since when are free people not free to be anti-Islamic if they so choose? It’s strange how the world must be walk on egg shells when it comes to Islam. We must be so careful not to offend Muslims.
That’s bullsh*t and it’s one of the worst double standards on earth. I wonder if people would treat Christians as delicately if they chopped people’s heads off anytime they were offended?
Geert Wilders’s movie about the Koran is a very accurate depiction and one that free people everywhere should watch. What radical Muslims don’t seem to realize is that by calling for Wilders death, they are showing the world just how accurate the movie really is.

Stop-Loss: Another Anti-War Movie Bites The Dust
No matter how many failures they make, Hollywood just won’t give up on the anti-American/anti-war themes. The latest miserable failure is called Stop-Loss, starring Ryan Phillipe.
The movie opened at #7 taking in just $1.6 million dollars on opening night. What Hollywood has yet to understand is that if they made a movie in the spirit of Blackhawk Down about the battle of Fallujah it would be a hit movie.
It’s time for a pro-Iraq war movie about the U.S. military kicking ass all over the middle east. That is something Americans would actually go and see.

FBI Focusing on ‘About Four’ Suspects in 2001 Anthrax Attacks
From Fox News:
The FBI has narrowed its focus to “about four” suspects in the 6 1/2-year investigation of the deadly anthrax attacks of 2001, and at least three of those suspects are linked to the Army’s bioweapons research facility at Fort Detrick in Maryland, FOX News has learned.
Among the pool of suspects are three scientists — a former deputy commander, a leading anthrax scientist and a microbiologist — linked to the research facility, known as USAMRIID.
The FBI has collected writing samples from the three scientists in an effort to match them to the writer of anthrax-laced letters that were mailed to two U.S. senators and at least two news outlets in the fall of 2001, a law enforcement source confirmed.
We are very lucky those anthrax attacks didn’t kill more people. The idea that someone would do something like that in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 no less is outrageous and horrifying.
We should all be thankful to the FBI for continuing to pursue this case as vigorously as it has. Whoever was responsible for these crimes is still on the loose and possibly still in the U.S. Army.
If that doesn’t pose a risk to our national security, then I don’t know what the hell does.

The Irony Of Radical Islam
Dutch Lawmaker Geert Wilders finally released his short film yesterday which depicts Islam in a less than flattering light. While the depiction is indeed less than flattering it also happens to be true and accurate which radical Muslims vehemently deny.
The ironic thing is that the film depicts Islam as a violent religion that is incompatible with democracy and western ideals. It uses powerful imagery to show the murderous nature of radical Muslims and their desire to make Islam the only religion in the world.
Yet the same Muslims who are protesting the film and denying the charges made in the film are also calling for Geert Wilders to be killed.
I’m just not sure how one can claim Islam is not a violent religion while at the same time calling for the death of anyone who insults it.
Geert Wilders is absolutely correct that the spread of Islam in the west must be stopped. Anyone who cannot see the danger in allowing an ideology which calls for murder over a few cartoons to spread is simply asleep at the wheel.
The fact that LiveLeak had to remove the film from their servers hours after its release because of death threats to staff speaks for itself.
