Too Late: Obama Puts On Flag Pin

In what was clearly a ploy to reverse the growing sentiment that Barack Obama is an out of touch elitist who lacks patriotism, he made a show of putting a flag pin on his lapel that was given to him by a disabled veteran.

I think it’s a little late for the flag pin gesture now, that book has already been written. Obama made it a point early in his campaign not to wear a flag pin, because he said it had come to symbolize support for the Iraq war.

I think most Americans thought it a little odd that a candidate for President of the United States was too good to wear a flag pin while his country was at war, regardless of what he thought of the war.

Suddenly after several days of sustained political attacks over his recent “bitter” comments he’s looking to pull the patriotism card out and take it for a spin.

Sorry Senator, you tore that card up and threw it away months ago.

Nice try.
