Obama’s Hamas Problem
Contrary to what ‘Obamaniacs’ will tell you about Barack Obama’s long and distinguished record of public service, Barack Obama has a record so thin its practically translucent. So suffice it to say that the only thing you can do to try and understand a man with no record is to look at his associates, friends, “spiritual advisors”, and even acquaintances.
So it should not be particularly shocking that Republicans and even a few Democrats find it curious that Barack Obama keeps his pro-Israel/anti-Hamas rhetoric strong in public, then quietly fires an adviser for engaging in private direct-talks with Hamas, hopefully to avoid embarrassment if word of the talks leaked.
Just as Obama has sought to distance himself from his insane pastor, the Obama campaign is now distancing itself from the freshly fired adviser. They argue that he was merely an “informal” adviser who never even met with Barack Obama.
But as Philip Klein points out, it’s certainly not far-fetched to believe that Barack Obama would engage in direct talks with the murdering thugs of Hamas. He has after all made his intentions to meet with Iran, Syria, and the rest of our hated enemies quite clear, so why not a terrorist organization as well?
It’s an ugly fact that the American left which Barack Obama is to the left of, believe America’s support for Israel is misguided and that we should instead tilt our policies towards the Palestinians.
Philip Klein writes in The American Spectator about some of Barack Obama’s associations with well known anti-Israel figures over the last 10 years.
It’s pretty hard to imagine that a student of the far-left like Barack Obama wouldn’t have pro-Palestinian leanings.
Let me be clear, I’m not in any way insinuating that Barack Obama is an anti-Semite or a racist, but I am insinuating that he disagrees with America’s undying support for the Jewish state.
I think as this political race drags on, it will become more and more clear that Barack Obama believes in the Jimmy Carter narrative about the Middle East. That narrative being that Israel is a vicious country that oppresses and occupies the land of poor Palestinian people.
When the truth is that the Palestinians have built a society that is devoid of compassion or morality and instead traffics in hate and terrorism. Palestinian children are taught from birth to hate Jews and kill them wherever and whenever an opportunity presents itself.
We don’t really know anything about this guy Barack Obama. We know he used to be a liberal State Senator, who used his relationship with his nutty pastor to gain street cred in Chicago’s southside, and earned the respect of liberal elites by getting chummy with terrorist William Ayers. All these unseemly associations earned him the votes needed for a U.S. Senate seat, and now he wants to be President.
About the only thing we know about Obama’s intentions are his plans to “change the politics in Washington” whatever that means. Oh, and he promises that “yes we can,” which could mean many things.
Yes we can…talk to Hamas, yes we can…stop supporting Israel, yes we can…(fill in the blank).
So for the time being we can add ’support for Israel’ as another big question mark in a long line of question marks when it comes to the ambitious young Senator from Illinois.
All the ducking and weaving by his campaign instead answering questions about who he is and what he believes was enough to get him the nomination, but it’s not gonna be enough to get him to the White House.
