Tony Ortega has an interesting piece in Village Voice. It seems Ortega happened upon the trash of none other than movie mogul Harvey Weinstein. So he took the opportunity to look through it and in doing so learned some surprising things about the Hollywood heavyweight.

There’s nothing particularly sensational about the piece, but you do learn some interesting tidbits about the most powerful man in Hollywood. Like for instance when A-list actresses like Gwenyth Paltrow or Nicole Kidman call him, it may take him a month or more to actually return their call.

Ortega also found piles of screenplays that obviously didn’t stike Weinstein’s fancy and ended up in the garbage. On a more personal note, Weinstein also received an email informing him that health insurance for his two housekeepers would be going up by more than $13,000 dollars next year–ouch.
