if oil companies could profit from drilling their current leases they would.........remember they are greedy.............if the supply of oil were to double in the next 10 years, even if the availability were not to begin for 3 years, the price would drop right now.....(if you would care to wager on higher gas prices after opening up drilling, please send contact info, i will take that bet)........ we could have this argument for 10 years,or within 10 years we could surely have more oil, lower gas prices and a secure domestic supply.

I'm always hearing people like you rail on about how Bush has shredded the constitution and took everyone's rights away. The funny thing is that everyone is still doing and saying exactly what they were before Bush took office. So I'm trying to figure out what rights I've supposedly lost, and for that matter what rights you've lost.

What constitutional right did you have before Bush took office that you no longer have? Clearly, no one is restricting your right to free speech and you don't seem to be falsely imprisoned. Were you picked up by the secret police this morning and interrogated?

I've posed these same questions to other Ron Paul supporters such as yourself and have yet to get a straight answer.

The supposed loss of constitutional rights is a frequent hallucination that many Ron Paul supporters such as yourself have. If you want to have a substantive debate on whether we've foolishly indebted ourselves to China and Saudi Arabia then I'd be happy to have that debate. I in fact share many of the concerns you appear to have about our economy.

The problem you have is that you cloak what are otherwise reasonable complaints and observations in mindless Bush Derangement Syndrome (BDS).

If you don't like the President or his policies that's fine. If you don't like Dick Cheney or you just hate Republicans that's also fine. But don't make absurd charges and completely ridiculous assertions about Bush "stealing your constitutional rights." It gets tedious, tiresome, and it makes you sound like an idiot.

Chris,
Please try that defense in court against the witness proving your conviction- see if it works any better there than here.
That kind of regurgitated ridicule nonsense you learn from your handlers stopped working a few years ago - even among your fellow cool aid drinkers - as they saw Bush take more and more of their constitutional rights away.

It is no longer a joke and neither are the lawless actions of the leaders of the party who have Ronald Reagan rolling over in his grave. No one cares anymore what people like you think Chris. the next important things are the court cases and the convictions.

Ridicule has lost it's place as a substitute for patriots taking back their government from the mob that has seized it illegally and used our great nation too further their own self serving causes.
how many more republican's need to be jailed for bribery before you get it Chris?

Or perhaps you think the founding of our great nation under the rule of law was just for others?

Stop being a tool Chris. Stand up for the rule of law in your nation and stop being made a fool of by those selling out to the Saudi oil interests while bankrupting our great country.

The Republicans have actually now committed treason and insurrection.

They occupied the official place of government illegally after it was closed.

They then proceeded to hack into the system that controls the official microphones after they had been officially and lawfully turned off in accordance with the rules of our government. They entered random passwords until they successfully hacked into that system violating numerous federal laws against hacking. They successfully and criminally hacked into the system and then seized the microphones of our government congressional body.

They stood on the floor and attempted to get support for their treasonous seizure of the place of government from the audience in the balcony (addressing the audience is also against house rules).

Then they also made calls for other republicans to come to the floor and join them in their attempted treasonous insurrection and seizure of our government soliciting treason and sewing insurrection.

They did this for MORE THAN FIVE HOURS.
Boris Yelstin's standoff on a tank outside the Russian Parliment against the similiar russian traitors who also tried to return the russian government to an unelected minor control lasted less time.

I hope these Republicans are prosecuted for their criminal seizure of the government and the violation of federal hacking laws they committed.

The current republicans have proven that they are non law abidding treasonous minority who when they can't win votes instead seize the organs of government of this great country and attempt to enforce their will on the rest of us.

They have proved in voting machines which has now been proven beyond any doubt (follow the court cases in ohio if you don't know) and now they are occupying government buildings and hacking into more government systems to enforce their minority control against the wishes of the founding father's of our country.

I agree that both sides have let us down when it comes to energy. However, it's a well known fact that far-left Democrats believe high energy prices are good because we will drive less, thus saving the earth from certain meltdown. Barack Obama even said as much in an interview. He was asked if high gases prices are a good thing. He said yes, but would have preferred the rise to happen more gradually. Democrats aren't pulling strings, but they are preventing us from drilling where the most oil is. Republicans agree with all the renewable energy proposals from the Democrats, they simply want new drilling to be a part of the overall package. We have to have enough oil while we transition to other energy sources.

I tried to find the statement about 2 years, but I can't find it. I'm gonna post it when I track it down. It was an oil company CEO that guaranteed he could have oil pumping from the outer continental shelf within 2-3 years.

First of all, Chris Jones, what are your sources? As far as I know, no oil company has made the claim that it can produce oil from an unprepped and undeveloped area in 2 years. They may be unscrupulous, but they're not stupid.

Secondly, to the "Democrats like high gas prices" comment; lets recap: Which party was in power for the last eight years with solid majorities in both houses and in control of the executive branch, while gas prices went from 1.50 to almost 5 dollars? Or are you implying that the Democrats are pulling the strings and Republicans are only the puppets in this debacle?
