I was in a school doing business and ran across a socluded area of the school(less occupied) and came across a teacher threatening elementary students with a baseball bat<-I stood in the shadow observing his actions, waving the bat in the childrens faces as he scolded them for missbehaving. after this went on for 5 mins. I made my presence known, he immediately hid the bat. i turned him in the a higher ranking and found out this wwas not the first time he was cought threatening children. So I see no point in a teacher carrying a weapon. The laws state no firearms will be held by a non athority representative official. If teachers are going to start carrying weapons within a private/public setting, then maybe the parents should be able to aswell. But thats not going to happen, so since a teacher is not a regognized police agency and they resign within the realms of a NO gun carry zone, they should not be able to carry a gun. I would not trust another person around my child while they were carrying a handgun or weapon. I think this action is Bull$hit!
