Scott Peterson’s Family Still Living In Denial

The family of convicted murderer Scott Peterson continue to live in denial about their son’s guilt. In addition to their website, ‘Scott Peterson Appeal‘ the family has launched a new blog called ‘Journey to Justice‘ that waxes nostalgic about the good times spent with Scott and his murdered wife Laci.
Obviously, what their family went through was horrendous and unthinkable. But what I find even more horrendous and unthinkable is the Peterson’s continued public denials about their son’s guilt. Scott Peterson is on death row at San Quentin State Prison after being found guilty of murdering his wife Laci and their unborn son Conner.
It was obvious to outside observers that he did it, and a jury said he did it. The only people who continue to live in denial about his guilt are his parents. Scott Peterson’s sister has even declared her belief in his guilt.
Here’s a little sample from the Peterson’s new blog:
Today is Scott’s Birthday, he is 36. Scott was only 30 when Laci and Conner were abducted. Today is a sad day for our family and Scott’s supporters. It is sad that we can’t celebrate Scott’s birthday and it’s sad that we can’t celebrate with Laci and Conner on their birthdays. That is Scott’s real loss. Conner would have been 5 this year. Conner was so real to us, we had seen his little face in the ultrasound pictures.
All I can think about today is the injustice that’s been done to my son. It is a real disservice to the memory of Laci and Conner. How could this happen? I look forward to when we can celebrate with Scott for all the birthdays he has missed.
The reason they can’t celebrate Scott’s birthday with Laci and Conner is because Scott decided to butcher Laci and Conner. The only injustice that was done is this case was to Laci and Conner. Scott is a monster and a coward. If he had any conscious at all (which he clearly does not) he would admit what he did. I look forward to the day in about 10 years or so when Scott finally gets the needle.

Global Warming Skeptics Gaining Ground?
It looks like the iron grip that faux scientist Al Gore and his merry band of radicals have had on the global warming issue is finally beginning to weaken. The environmental extremists have tried every tactic short of cold blooded murder to silence anyone who disagrees with Al Gore’s junk science — but alas they’re being heard anyway.
Rasmussen Poll: 49% Want To Keep Gitmo Open
A new Rasmussen poll out today finds that 49% of Americans are in favor of keeping Gitmo open, while only 32% want it closed. Barack Obama has of course vowed to close it — as any good liberal would.
Not only should we keep it open, but we should build a second one somewhere else. Gitmo should be a place that terrorists around the world fear being sent to. Gitmo should be a deterrent to those considering Jihad as a serious career.
We tried the whole law enforcement thing during the Clinton years and we know where that led us. The time for worrying about the “moral high ground” has long sense past. Unfortunately, it’s probably going to take a few thousand more dead Americans before the other half of the country starts to take our national security seriously.

Court Upholds Warrantless Searches Overseas
The second-circuit court of appeals has ruled the requirement for warrants and Miranda warnings do not apply to American citizens living abroad.
The authorities may lawfully conduct searches and electronic surveillance against United States citizens in foreign countries without a warrant, a federal appeals court panel said on Monday, bolstering the government’s power to investigate terrorism by ruling that a key constitutional protection afforded to Americans does not apply overseas.
The unanimous decision by a three-judge panel of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, in Manhattan, came in the case of three Al Qaeda terrorists convicted a few months before 9/11 in a conspiracy that involved the 1998 bombings of two American embassies in East Africa.
Thank God the ruling came down in favor of national security. The idea that Americans living abroad are entitled to the same rights as Americans living at home is absurd. This is was just another attempt by the ACLU to gum up the works and prevent our intelligence agencies from protecting this country.

Breitbart: We Need Young, Hot Republicans
If you haven’t read Andrew Breitbart’s column this week in the Washington Times — you should. He offers a plan to get the GOP winning again. In short, he suggests what the GOP needs is more young, hot republicans.
A humorous column — but as usual there’s a lot of truth to it.

Alan Colmes Is Leaving “Hannity & Colmes”

HuffPo is reporting that Alan Colmes will be leaving Hannity & Colmes at the end of the year. Colmes says he will remain with Fox News as a liberal commentator, and will soon unveil his own weekend program on the channel. In addition, Alan will continue hosting his radio program on Fox News Radio.
“I approached Bill Shine (FNC’s Senior Vice President of Programming)
earlier this year about wanting to move on after 12 years to develop
new and challenging ways to contribute to the growth of the network,”
Colmes said. “Although it’s bittersweet to leave one of the longest
marriages on cable news, I’m proud that both Sean (Hannity) and I
remained unharmed after sitting side by side, night after night for so
many years.”
Sean Hannity had this to say about the split:
“Not only has Alan been a remarkable co-host, he’s been a great friend
which is rare in this industry — I’ll genuinely miss sparring with
such a skillful debate partner.”
Now the big question is who will replace Alan as the liberal half of Hannity & Colmes? It will be interesting to see if they choose someone from within Fox like Lanny Davis or Howard Wolfson, or if they plan to bring in new talent.
Even though I rarely agree with Alan, I think his part of the show is very important. I’m a big Hannity fan, but Sean has to have someone on the show to counter him. A little Hannity can go a long way depending on the topic being discussed. I’d like to see someone who’s as equally fierce an advocate from the left as Sean is from the right.
What makes Fox News the best cable news channel on television is the fact that you really do get to hear both sides. Unlike liberals, I actually enjoy hearing views I disagree with. Debate is a healthy thing. Debate is something you will never see on MSNBC. Unless it’s a debate between Matthews and Olbermann over who loves Barack Obama more.
