Scott Peterson’s Family Still Living In Denial
The family of convicted murderer Scott Peterson continue to live in denial about their son’s guilt. In addition to their website, ‘Scott Peterson Appeal‘ the family has launched a new blog called ‘Journey to Justice‘ that waxes nostalgic about the good times spent with Scott and his murdered wife Laci.
Obviously, what their family went through was horrendous and unthinkable. But what I find even more horrendous and unthinkable is the Peterson’s continued public denials about their son’s guilt. Scott Peterson is on death row at San Quentin State Prison after being found guilty of murdering his wife Laci and their unborn son Conner.
It was obvious to outside observers that he did it, and a jury said he did it. The only people who continue to live in denial about his guilt are his parents. Scott Peterson’s sister has even declared her belief in his guilt.
Here’s a little sample from the Peterson’s new blog:
Today is Scott’s Birthday, he is 36. Scott was only 30 when Laci and Conner were abducted. Today is a sad day for our family and Scott’s supporters. It is sad that we can’t celebrate Scott’s birthday and it’s sad that we can’t celebrate with Laci and Conner on their birthdays. That is Scott’s real loss. Conner would have been 5 this year. Conner was so real to us, we had seen his little face in the ultrasound pictures.
All I can think about today is the injustice that’s been done to my son. It is a real disservice to the memory of Laci and Conner. How could this happen? I look forward to when we can celebrate with Scott for all the birthdays he has missed.
The reason they can’t celebrate Scott’s birthday with Laci and Conner is because Scott decided to butcher Laci and Conner. The only injustice that was done is this case was to Laci and Conner. Scott is a monster and a coward. If he had any conscious at all (which he clearly does not) he would admit what he did. I look forward to the day in about 10 years or so when Scott finally gets the needle.

No, you are the one in denial. When the state spends $11 million to get someone, anyone, and cannot produce even one piece of valid evidence of his guilt they, and those who believe in them, are in denial. Anne Bird has her own problems, and motives, so her ‘beliefs’ are not convincing.
There are hundreds of people who have been released from prison after evidence showed they were not guilty. In every one of those cases “it was obvious to outside observers that (they) did it, and a jury said (they) did it”. Even superior courts agreed the convicted person was guilty.
BUT ALL OF THEM WERE WRONG!

Listed below are only a few of the things brought out in trial that point to Scott’s innocence:
*The computer activity on the morning of Dec 24 that Scott failed to mention to the police. Someone on the computer searching for a scarf from the Gap; an umbrella holder with a sunflower, etc. I believe if Scott made it look like Laci was on the computer he sure would have let the police know…but he didn’t.
*No evidence of a crime in either the house, the boat, the truck and the warehouse.
*The medical examiner described Conner’s body as so fragile that his skin was falling off but yet he can glide over a wall of rocks and land 24 feet from the shore with only a cut to his shoulder. I believe he was placed on the shore.
*The place where Mr. Peterson went fishing is only 5 ft deep. For months the most sophisticated side scan sonars in the country were used and there was no sign of Laci but yet 4 months later she is found.
*The medical examiner testified that there were some mineral deposits on Laci’s clothing which he speculated could have been from her clothing getting wet and drying repeatedly. Now tell me how could this possibly occur if she was submerged in the ocean for 4 months?
*Laci’s uterus measured at 32 weeks the day before she went missing but when she was found it measured at 23 weeks. Now please tell me how a dead woman’s uterus shrinks.
*Laci only weighed 53 lbs when she was found but yet she was able to keep her maternity pants on in the water for 4 months.
I want so much to believe that the right man is on death row but I have way too many unanswered questions. I can only believe that a wrongful conviction has been rendered. It is still so hard for me to accept that this man is sitting on death row and I don’t know, how, why, where nor when this horrid crime took place.
The Petersons are right to stand by their son.
The truth is Scott is innocent.
These three responses must be from Peterson family members. They’re definitely still in denial. Scott is guilty as sin, and is right where he belongs.

No, these responses are from people whose brains still work properly. Unlike the vast masses who really believe that a lost uncle in Nigeria wants to give them $20 million, or that a pill or a plastic suit will make the pounds come off without work or a diet, or that the reason their life is horrible is not their own failures but a conspiracy by others these are people who can see the truth through any number of lies and who understand that the media are stunningly incompetent and unable and unwilling to do the job. These people read the facts and make up their own minds instead of letting their TV set tell them what to think.
Come on!!! He killed his wife and child!!! It doesn’t take a genius to figure it out. He strangled Laci in the bedroom while she was changing her close. She had just taken her blouse off. He had be just waiting for the right moment. He is where he deserves to be, and that may be to good for him!!!!
Well, ‘Sunflower’, apparently you are far short of ‘genius’. What part of “$11 million and still found no evidence” is too complicated for you to understand? The state’s own witnesses and evidence proved he was innocent to all but the dullest of minds. Too bad there are so many of those.

Explain why the seat of Laci’s underwear was worn out but the front was untouched.
Explain how her pants could still be tied on even after her baby was removed from her body.
I can upon this site and couldn’t resist a comment. First Laci ultrasound was not the day before her death, it was in Sept. Second her body was so swollen with water for the months it was in the water, that is why her pants were still on. And third the back of her underware was worn because the cement anchors that were tied to her allowed her body to be back side down with her bottom brushing against rocks and whatever was below. Please face the truth!!!!

No cement anchors were ever made – no proof of this was offered, just guesses, and the weight claimed was stupidly microscopic, it could not have held her down unless she weighed 15 lb, not 153 lb.
The prosecutors claimed she was face down at all times and there were no rocks. You need to face the truth – Scott Peterson is innocent.

Still wrong. According to the prosecution she was held underwater, although their $1 million search failed to find her. So there’s no way the back of the underwear could be gone while the front was intact.
The real reason is that she was handcuffed to a wall and forced to sit on a cement floor for weeks until the baby was cut out of her. That’s why the underwear was worn out only where she sat.
An insane woman wound up killing them both.

The 5 “W’s” of journalism: (Who, what, where, when, why)
One of the basic lessons for new journalists is the 5 “W’s” of journalism (who, what, where, when and why). In the case of Scott Peterson, it is clear that almost all have chosen to assume that the ‘who’ is Scott Peterson, then arrange the other 4 “W’s” to fit that notion. But consider them without that assumption. Let us assume that SP cannot be believed at all, then we have:-
When .. was Laci killed? Between Dec 23rd and some uncertain time about 1 month before April 14th.
Where .. was Laci killed? No crime scene has ever been found. Somewhere in the lower 48 or out in the Pacific is as close as we can come.
Why .. was Laci killed? No reason was ever given. The ‘freedom reason’ is only a wild and desperate guess with nothing at all to support it.
What .. was the way that Laci was killed? Once again, we have no cause of death, not one thing that even definitively leads to murder as the conclusion.
And yet from these unknowns, those who believe in guilt say they can conclude that the one and only person who could have done it is Scott Peterson, despite the clear fact that it was physically impossible for him to have dumped the body as the prosecution would have us believe and that this was the most ridiculous crime if it was planned at all as the prosecution would also have us believe.
The only way to make this work is to turn it on its head.
We ‘KNOW’ Peterson is guilty, therefore since he could have only killed her at this time that’s when he killed her.

This is known as circular reasoning.
What is very clear is that he would have to be the greatest criminal mastermind of all time AND one of the dumbest clucks to walk on the face on the earth. He would also have to be the luckiest man ever AND one of the most unlucky men since Job. He would have to be the most sociopathic person the world has ever seen – despite the fact that all previous evidence shows he is clearly the exact opposite.
I also note that the prosecution’s entire case stood on a foundation that Peterson was a consummate liar – but also on him telling the truth.

Compare this to the case of Carlo Ventre and his ex-wife Toni Dykstra. They waged an international custody battle over their daughter, Santina. In 1998, Toni died in Carlo’s apartment. He said it was an accident; her family said it was murder.
We know where she died.
We know when she died.
We know what caused her death (blow to the head).
We have a good motive as to why she was killed (to prevent her taking her kidnapped daughter back).
Dykstra had complained that Ventre had threatened her.
There is only one person who can even remotely be considered as a suspect in her death and any reasonable juror must conclude it was homicide.

I suggest you read Crier’s book – it makes it clear that he is a very caring man. Frey was giving it away for free and he made the mistake of thinking it couldn’t hurt to take a couple of samples. Many others have made this mistake – David Camm for one. Confusing adultery with murder is a sickness that infects the US in particular – one is not evidence of another, in fact statistically there is no relationship.
Laci Peterson deserves justice. Murdering her innocent husband won’t bring it to her.

The D.A. & jury got it right. Scott Peterson is a classic sociopath. For the time being, he is exactly where he needs to be, safely removed from the rest of society. My only regret is that the State of CA will take EONS before they put him to death. In my informed opinion, the “needle” is far too good & humane for him. Laci & Conner received far less at Scott’s hands. I doubt Scott would have much of a life expectancy IF he were ever released from prison.
My only regret is that we can’t give the death penalty to idiots instead of to adulterers.
Laci and Conner were killed by a woman. Scott Peterson is not a woman.
A secondary cause of their death was neglect by the police. Laci and Conner lived well into February. A competent police force might have found them before they were killed. They did not receive the attention of a competent police force.

The most telling factor of Scott Peterson’s guilt was when he was at the candlelight vigil for Laci and Connor, and spent his time on the phone having a romantic conversation with Amber Frey. ANY man (adulterer or not) who had an ounce of love for his infant son COULD NOT have been giggling, sweet-talking his lover…..he would be devastated (at least about his child), and would not have been able to be giggling and murmuring about anything. Second, ‘vigil’. Whoop dee do. I know of no ‘vigil’ that ever brought anyone back. What is needed is SEARCHING, not sitting around mouthing platitudes. Too bad, BTW, that the MPD didn’t believe in that but, as they admitted, “LACI SITINGS WERE NOT A PRIORITY”.
Third, always good to hear from self satisfied ‘experts’ like you on what people should do. Odd though that none of you can ever help with the real task at hand but I’m sure you feel a smug sense of self satisfaction at running your mouth and attacking an innocent man. Stranger still that no one has ever been able to write down all of these supposed ‘rules about how people should behave under all circumstances. Perhaps that’s because THERE ARE NO RULES.

Sadly that happens too rarely in the USA which is why it has one of the worst, most incompetent and corrupt legal systems in the Western world. Conner was a full term baby. That alone exonerates his father, and shows his mother lived for weeks after her abduction. There is no way around this – he is innocent of this crime.

regardless, scott’s actions were not those of an innocent man, who was desperate to find his sweet wife and precious little boy. his adultress actions alone speak volumes about his character and how he was raised.he was taught from a young age to do whatever makes you happy and if the goings get tough, get going(his dad’s shady financial past and moving to avoid that is proof of this).also, his mother gave up not one, but two children and really wanted to give up the third . i have no problem with adoption .she claims to not have been educated about sex and that can explain one, but by the second she knew what caused it and definitely by the third and if she didn’t,then she must be very slow!its pretty obvious that she used adoption as birth control after the fact.the reason i say this is b/c his parents lived by the idea of take care of yourself and if someone gets in the way of your selfish desires, just get rid of them or run away.scott and his family have no integrity and he is a direct result of his parents and his upbringing. In the United States of America, a person is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Scott was found guilty. CASE CLOSED!!! SCOTT PETERSON IS GUILTY! There is nothing else to prove. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEAD!! He was found guily by a jury of his peers and there is nothing left to say or prove. He will die in prison, one way or another. He’ll never be a free man again and will forever be known as a Baby Killer.

Scott Peterson’s complete innocence was clearly established during the trial. Even the DA admitted there was no evidence, no case for Scott to answer in his final summation. He begged the jury to ignore the evidence and vote emotionally as to whether they liked Scott or not. To their eternal shame they did just that.
If this case is not reversed then the US needs to get out of the business of running trials and move them to another country where people have some basic intelligence. Too many jurors here have none.
I have to admit, I always felt that Scott Peterson was guilty because of everything I heard on the news. I recently saw a show on tv about Scott Peterson. It made we want to investigate a little more into the evidence of this case. So I got online and ready some of the testimony. I only started my research a few days ago. The more I read, the more it appears an innocent man may be on death row. Just because he commited adultery does not mean that he killed his wife. I can’t believe I am actually typing this. I would never have thought I would see this case differently after the way the media portrayed this case. Even if he really committed the murders, I don’t see any evidence that clearly proves it. You can’t judge a book by its cover.
