I wrote yesterday that I think John Walker Lindh’s parents have a lot of nerve to keep asking president Bush to pardon their son. In my opinion, Lindh had his pardon when he was allowed to live.

Today, Michelle explains better than I ever could exactly why John Walker Lindh deserves nothing but scorn.

    If Bush were to pardon this traitor tool, I would lose what little respect I have for him. Especially when our two Border Patrol agents sit in jail.

    There is no way in hell Bush would pardon this guy. The one thing you can count on Bush for is to be aggressive when it comes to terrorists.

    Walker and others like him, should be shot and not waste tax money putting them away. This country is in trouble, with terrorists coming across our south border. Close it. Get rid of all communists and those that are not loyal to USA.

      I agree that he should be shot and not spend money on imprisonment. But I disagree about any inherent evil of communism over any other form of government. We began our demonization of communism because our enemies were communist (Russia and China et. el.) Nazi Germany was socialist like most of our friendly governments in Europe. I don’t much care for King George III, but Kamehameha wasn’t bad at the end.
      The US was born a Representative Republic, but now functions more like a Democracy combined with judges acting as Kings dictating edicts from the bench.
      Rather than canonizing any form of government as evil or good, we should look for “Friend or Foe”. And whatever form there is, it should serve the people. Democracies serve the greed of the people (pork barrel) and is second cousin to communism. They both appeal to sheep.

        Communism is inherently evil because it destroys the self-worth of individuals. Communism has been a total failure everywhere it has been tried. It goes against human nature. Hundreds of millions of people are dead because of Communism.
