Commander In Cheap: Obama’s Crappy Gifts To Gordon Brown
President Obama treated our dear British friends the way someone treats a relative they can’t stand but must visit once a year.
British PM Gordon Brown was treated like disposable ally on his first trip to Obama’s America. First Obama snubbed him on the usual official rose garden press conference that are best friends usually get.
Then he made all of us look like assholes with the lame ass gift he gave. He gave Brown (who’s not a film buff) a boxed set of 25 classic American movies on DVD. Wow, he must have had that rushed from Amazon.com.
Michelle Obama gave Gordon Brown’s kids a plastic toy replica of Marine One from the White House gift store. That’s really too egregious for me to even comment on.
Here’s what Gordon Brown gave to Obama:
Mr Brown’s gifts included an ornamental desk pen holder made from the oak timbers of Victorian anti-slaver HMS Gannet, once named HMS President.
Mr Obama was so delighted he has already put it in pride of place in the Oval Office on the Resolute desk which was carved from timbers of Gannet’s sister ship, HMS Resolute.
Another treasure given to the U.S. President was the framed commission for HMS Resolute, a vessel that came to symbolise Anglo-US peace when it was saved from ice packs by Americans and given to Queen Victoria.
Finally, Mr Brown gave a first edition set of the seven-volume classic biography of Churchill by Sir Martin Gilbert.
With all the wealth Obama is stealing from the American taxpayers you’d think he could of at least spent a little on our British friends. How tacky is that?

I’m ok with BO handing out cheap gifts for now. As long as he hands out the same cheap gift to everyone. Of course, Britain has been America’s friend through thick and thin for a very long time so I’d think he’d throw in some microwave popcorn.

For years I had to listen to people gripe about President Bush. I’m a middle of the road conservative so I was annoyed…now, it’s my turn to annoy the liberal left. I HATE OBAMA, HIS ABSURD POLICIES, LACK OF RESTRAINT AND INTELLIGENCE. He wants to spend this country into the ground. He wants the USA to be completely socialist. The Obama agenda will destroy this wonderful country…Give me Liberty or give me death! I want my liberties to remain intact when he’s out of office but I am afraid that there will be nothing left when that SOB is done with his wicked and tragic schemes.
I wouldn’t go so far as to say I hate Obama, because that’s the language of the left. But, I would say that Obama is a Marxist/Socialist and his policies will no doubt ruin this country. Never before in our nation’s history have we had such a radical leftist administration in power — so this is uncharted territory. What we do know is that his policies have been tried around the world and have always failed. Even more concerning than Obama however, is his attorney general. Eric Holder is a radical leftist who doesn’t believe in the war on terror which literally puts us all in grave danger.

I am embarrassed as an American. You don’t treat a good friend like Obama the great treating our friend UK. This crazy maniac is out of control. The country is in bad shape but he has time to go to talk show and entertain his own people. His own cabinet members are mostly tax cheaters. He spends our tax money to the last pennies. He penalizes the rich and awarded the poor who don’t work with free health care and foodstamps. That’s is why his poll is down day by day. My friends from UK, next time when Obama goes to your country, make sure to give him some coupons for his people ACORN. Don’t give him or Michelle any expensive gifts, you waist your tax money.
