Rush Limbaugh’s Cousin Writes About Him In Salon

Julie Limbaugh, the cousin of radio talk show king Rush Limbaugh has penned a column in Salon about her “Cousin Rusty” as she calls him.

Julie talks about the difficult time she’s had growing up with her last name. From middle school through college, liberals persecuted her and gave her a hard time. She of course is quick to point out that she shares none of Rush’s views, but loves him anyway.

This is further proof of how intolerant liberals are compared to conservatives. If a republican were to attend Columbia or Berkeley and actually tell people that he or she was a republican they would face certain persecution. Other students would call them out and professors would issue failing grades purely for political reasons.

Julie Limbaugh says she was berated by students and professors alike when she attended Columbia simply when they heard her last name.

In one story, Julie recalls trying to catch another airplane to Chicago from New York after her flight is canceled. The guy at the ticket counter sees the name on her I.D. and tells her, “You’re out of luck because I’m the biggest Democrat you’ll ever meet.”

That’s the thing I just don’t get. I’ve been saying for years how absurd it is that the left has claimed the tolerance card when they can’t stand anyone who doesn’t believe like they do.

Liberals don’t want to share an airplane with a republican, a school, a bus, or a television show. Liberals don’t want to share the same oxygen with another person unless that person believes what they believe.

Where does that come from? It’s not like that on the republican side. A liberal could attend a conservative university (if one existed) and that person’s liberal views wouldn’t be an issue. The idea that you simply refuse to be friends with someone because their politics differ from yours is alien to republicans.

I think it must have something to do with the fact that hardcore liberalism is more or less a totalitarian ideology like fascism. Dissent must quickly be crushed and no mercy can be shown to the dissenter. It just seems so bizarre for people to think that way in America.

For the record, Julie’s Cousin Rusty is known to fly the entire family out to his mansion for Thanksgiving or Christmas all expenses paid. Rush puts everyone up in a resort that “makes them feel like a movie star” and gives them a room key that doubles as his credit card. They can buy whatever they want and do whatever they want. At his enormous house, he plays the latest Disney flick in his theater for the kids.

The guy sounds like a real asshole, huh? That Rush Limbaugh really is worse than Hitler.
