marcus luttrell 230x300 Navy SEAL Hero Marcus Luttrell Nabs Men Who Shot His Dog

This is one hell of a story. Marcus Luttrell is a retired Navy SEAL and author of the best-selling book “Lone Survivor.” Luttrell was the sole survivor of the bloodiest day in the history of the Navy SEALS when his team was ambushed by 150 Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. He was severely wounded and being hunted by insurgents in the mountains of Afghanistan when he came upon some friendly locals who hid him until he could be rescued by some Army Rangers.

Luttrell was awarded the Navy Cross for his actions in Afghanistan and has since retired to Texas. A few nights ago Luttrell was sitting up at 1:00 AM (he doesn’t sleep much at night) when he heard a gunshot outside his house. He immediately grabbed his gun and went outside to investigate and found some guys standing over his dead dog.

Suffice it to say the four guys nearly ended up like the dog…

I’m sorry he didn’t shoot the bastards. 4 on 1 he could’ve made a case for self-defense. Especially if none of them survived to testify.

I agree with you 100% on that.

God I wish I could have a couple minute with those punks!!! Not so tough when you are confronted by something other than a dog!!! I whish Luttrell would get them for a bit!!! PUNKS!!!!!!!

Marcus is a good example of how to be. He’s a guy who must have experienced more than most of us will ever be exposed to. He could have easily taken out these four punks but showed restraint. We know that all SEALs shoot on target. These guys would have been finished. I only hope the the justice system does its job now. It has to, especially given the situation.

-Marcus, if you read this, I’m sorry about your dog and sorry about your friends that you lost over there. We have it easy being civilians, just wanna let you know man. Thanks.

Thank you for serving our country with honor in Afghanistan and back home. You make us all proud–I don’t know if I could have restrained myself if they had killed my dog. God bless you.

  • Mike

Bought and read your book. You restraint in not dusting and burying them in the backyard shows you belief and courage in our country and system. As for the threats that were made against you, I hope they come visit when they get out and you take what reasonable force necessary to protect yourself and your mom ..remember aim center mass….

YOu are truly a hero in every sense of the word.I don’t know how you could maintain your cool in this situation. These 4 thugs need to be locked up and the keys thrown away forever. My heart goes out to you in your loss of Dasy. Our pets are irreplaceable. They are our family. God Bless you and thank you for your brave service.

This is the first that I have heard of this and I am so sorry to hear about Dasy. I wish you could have put a bullet at least in each of there knee caps. But then you would be in jail and there would be a lawsuit. So maybe you should think about a lawsuit against them even if they don’t have a dime. Punks like them are nothing but pure trash in my eyes and there day is coming. Leesa

our uncle had a dog shot about 3 weeks ago in the same area that this happened at 3am, we are concerned that it could be a related incident.

Does anyone have any info on the the 4 guys names, their addressed, family addresses, job locations?

There needs to be a site put up for justice for Dasy.

These guys do not deserve to live. Hopefully there is a fanatic dog lover out there that might take up the cause and handle these guys the way they should be. Two years max in jail? That is unthinkable and a sham of the system America must make a stand now. The time has come for KNOWN killers to get what they deserve. Let’s get their info, post it, track these guys, their jobs, their homes, like they are worthless scum.

This story makes me just sick.

Marcus showed restraint that I don’t believe I could have shown. I admire him all the more for it and I wish there were something I could do to help.

We were talking about the incident at work yesterday – I didn’t realize who this had happened to at the time. It just adds a layer of hurt when you know what these animals stole from Marcus.

I wish these turds the worst prison experience that Texas has to offer.

Marcus, I would never wish any one dead so I hope that when these boys make it to jail some very large burly man makes them his new girlfriends. I am very sorry about your baby.
And THANK YOU for your service to us.

marcus you are a true american hero i shed a tear for your loss of teamates, and your loss of mans best friend,as a retired NYPD officer you are my hero GOD BLESS YOU

  • mike

Marcus, Luck and best wishes. I don’t think I would of had the same restraint. In Iraq the hardest thing soemtimes is not pulling the trigger.
I got a little close to an IED in Iraq, so I am out of the Army now. Sorry for your loss. But that which doesnt kill us only makes us stronger

    Marcus,
As a long time animal lover, I feel with ya. Sorry these “dirtbags” (as Glenn Beck said) removed this family member from you. I know she will never be truly gone. As someone who struggles with similar hurdles, I feel the pain. I will not dwell on the loss of Daisy as it tends to compound my personal feelings. I would hope I had the same restraint you showed, but am not sure… I know “everyone” i.e Daisy, knew, and knows the love. Peace to you and all. Much respect sir.

  • Joe

Now that the dirt bags were convicted, can we have their sentencing be being put into a fight cage with Marcus for a minute….
