When Bush made a surprise visit to Iraq NOBODY knew about it until Air Force One was touching down in the middle of the night.

I have many friends in the military who are currently deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. They tell me the vast majority of soldiers and marines support the president, but don’t respect him the way they did president Bush.

The excitement to see Bush was genuine. When he made real secret trips to Iraq he was mobbed by soldiers — and the left hated that. Officials never had to rustle up some soldiers who voted for him to greet him.

George Bush’s public appearances, military and otherwise, were highly controlled, crowd-filtered, even rehearsed events. Perhaps you forget this:

As for troops never having to wonder if Bush supported them – Please. We both know that isn’t true. Or perhaps you forget the soldier angrily asking where is humvee armor was? Or was picking over Iraqi landfills part of the genius Bush military plan?

And yeah, 24 hour advance notice of a presidential visit to a foreign country IS a surprise visit.

Of the two soldiers in the front, the black soldier looking at his camera’s picture, and the man with the dangling camera, the black soldier’s camera is twice as thick as the dangling camera.

Just because all the cameras are small, shiny, and silver doesn’t mean they’re all the same camera.

I’d also be pretty suspicious of an anonymous source quoted by a radio show blog that is dedicated to attacking Obama and the left.
