World Finally Realizing That Global Warming Is A Scam
The U.S. may have a bunch of dumbasses running it for the moment, but fortunately the rest of the world does not.
The Wall Street Journal has an excellent piece today about the swell of global warming skepticism that is sweeping across the world. The article coincides with Congress’s vote today on “Cap and Trade” legislation to cut carbon emissions so that Al Gore can sleep better at night.
Hundreds of leading scientists around the world are finally speaking up and refusing to be intimidated by climate zealots.
The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. — 13 times the number who authored the U.N.’s 2007 climate summary for policymakers. Joanne Simpson, the world’s first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak "frankly" of her nonbelief. Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a Japanese environmental physical chemist who contributed to a U.N. climate report, dubs man-made warming "the worst scientific scandal in history." Norway’s Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics, decries it as the "new religion." A group of 54 noted physicists, led by Princeton’s Will Happer, is demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. (Both Nature and Science magazines have refused to run the physicists’ open letter.)
The collapse of the "consensus" has been driven by reality. The inconvenient truth is that the earth’s temperatures have flat-lined since 2001, despite growing concentrations of C02. Peer-reviewed research has debunked doomsday scenarios about the polar ice caps, hurricanes, malaria, extinctions, rising oceans. A global financial crisis has politicians taking a harder look at the science that would require them to hamstring their economies to rein in carbon.
The entire global warming frenzy has nothing to do with real science and everything to do with flawed computer models. Al Gore has earned himself more than $100 million since his time as Vice President by peddling this phony science all around the world.
Every single member of Congress who votes in favor of Obama’s ridiculous climate bill should be thrown out of office in the next election.

The Solar Grand Maximum that went on for about 70 years appears to have ended. The 30 year or so Pacific Decadal Oscillation (PDO) uptrend that combined with the Solar Grand Maximum to produce the late-20th-century temperature run up has started its 30 year downtrend. The PDO downtrend combined with the quiet sun is resulting in continued planet cooling. (The cooling will be slow because of the huge thermal capacitance of the oceans) The sun has not been this quiet this long since 1913. Sunspot changes appear to be a catalyst for cloud changes and therefore have much greater influence on average earth temperature than total solar irradiance (TSI).
Since 2000, atmospheric carbon dioxide has increased 18.4% of the increase from 1800 to 2000. According to the average of the five reporting agencies, the trend of average global temperatures since 1998 shows no increase and from 2002 through 2008 the trend shows a DECREASE of 1.8°C/century. This separation (there have been many others) corroborates the lack of connection between atmospheric carbon dioxide increase and average global temperature. I wonder how wide the separation will need to get before the IPCC and a lot of others are forced to realize that maybe they missed something.
Many Climate Scientists appear to be completely uninformed of some relevant science and appear to understand other relevant science poorly (it’s not in their curriculum). The missing science, using paleo temperature data, proves that added atmospheric carbon dioxide has no significant influence on average global temperature. Climate Scientists have adopted the word ‘feedback’ but use it completely differently than had been successfully applied for decades by engineers.
As the atmospheric carbon dioxide level continues to increase and the average global temperature doesn’t it is becoming more and more apparent that many climate scientists have made an egregious mistake and a whole lot of people have been misled.
Thank you for your comments. The scientists I’ve spoken with have told me the majority of scientists know full well that the global warming hysteria is based on phony science.
They simply don’t say anything because they’re worried about ruining their careers. Global warming has become such a huge industry that it’s imperative to keep the hysteria up so the dollars keep flowing in for “research.”
I talked to a climate scientist in London last week who told me off the record that it’s considered heresy to even suggest the science is wrong.
“Mistakes” may have been made in the beginning, but rather than correct them they simply moved ahead stacking lie on top of lie.
I believe many scientists have knowingly put forth phony data or deliberately misleading data that has cost the world billions and will cost the world trillions.
People deserve to go to jail for that kind of corruption.
The science is clear for anyone who takes the time to look at it. That’s what is so frustrating about this whole issue.
Good post. So many people are starting to wake up and realize the nonsense this administration is advocating. Once they realize the CHANGE is going to negatively impact their pocketbooks, all of a sudden they get it. Too bad they can’t be bothered to do the research before they vote. But what can we expect when the government votes without reading what their voting for? talk about “Lead by Example”!
