Video: Sheldon Whitehouse Calls ObamaCare Opponents Racist, Then Denies

by Chris Jones on December 21, 2009

Sheldon Whitehouse, the far left Senator from Rhode Island, took to the Senate floor on Sunday and smeared all opponents of ObamaCare.

“The birthers, the fanatics, the people running around in right wing militias and Aryan support groups. It is unbearable to them that President Barack Obama should exist.”

Whitehouse was trucking out the favorite canard of liberals everywhere, If you disagree with me you’re probably a racist.

When asked by a reporter for clarification of his comments, Whitehouse denied calling anyone a racist. When asked what he meant by “Aryan groups” his only response was “I’ll stand by the speech”.

I would actually be angry over this if weren’t so over used. How many times this year have administration critics been labeled racists? Too many times to count.

The militia line has been used many times as well. Anyone opposed to Obama’s radical agenda is either a racist, homophobe, bigot, militia member, domestic terrorist, tool of big insurance, tool of big pharma, tool of big oil, or any number of things.

Stop lisping at me, Senator.
