Take a look at this latest video from Steven Crowder. He takes you on a tour of Detroit and discusses why it looks like a third world war zone. I think Allahpundit had it right when he compared this video to images he’d seen of present day Chernobyl. Anyone who’s never been to Detroit cannot possibly grasp the level of devastation. Detroit is like New Orleans right after Katrina — all the time.
The city could probably bring in tourist dollars by offering poverty bus tours. It’s the closest you can get seeing a war zone without leaving America.
Detroit in 2009 is the end result of 30 years of leftist policies and leftist governance. It’s a city that can’t possibly get any worse, there is simply nothing left to destroy.
Is it a coincidence that every single ghetto and slum in America is run exclusively by liberal democrats? I wonder why the poor tend to stay poor or get poorer under the party that champions the poor?

It’s pointless to be blaming Democrats for what has happened to Detroit. What about the 8 years the Bush administration was in charge of the country…and what about all the other decades that Republicans held political power?
