President Obama has ordered the Justice Department to find another location to hold the 9/11 terrorist show trials besides NYC. The decision came after Mayor Bloomberg publicly condemned White House plans to hold the trials only blocks from where the World Trade Center once stood. The Mayor was the final straw in what had become near united opposition to the trials across the state. With the state already in fiscal crisis many lawmakers and business owners balked at the $250 million a year bill the city would be on the hook for — not to mention the security concerns.
While it’s certainly good that the trials are being moved out of NYC, it still doesn’t correct the grievous error made by our despicable Attorney General Eric Holder to hold the trials in a civilian courtroom.
This entire charade didn’t have dick to do with “justice” and everything to do with the left-wing ACLU ideology that the Attorney General and president share. It’s an ideology that gives phony rights to foreign born terrorists. This administration came in with the goal of treating terrorism like a law enforcement issue and taking the country off a war footing. His chief henchman in this endeavour is sleazy ass Eric Holder.
Prior to his becoming Attorney General, Holder’s law firm was representing the majority of Gitmo detainees. He has a long and distinguished record of defending terrorists and in some cases allowing them to go free. He’s a committed radical leftist and an asshole to boot.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — every Republican that voted to confirm Eric Holder as the Attorney General should be thrown out of office.
