President Obama’s East coast elitism is once again on display for the entire country to see.
From Jake Tapper:
Last night President Obama and First Lady Obama dined at State Road Restaurant in West Tisbury on Martha’s Vineyard.
Their dinner companions were family friends Dr. Eric and Cheryl Whitaker, senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, and lawyer and business executive Vernon Jordan and wife Ann Dibble Jordan.
As they departed the restaurant at 9:55 pm ET, reporters asked the president if he was enjoying his vacation even with the rain.
"I’m having a great time,” the president said. “Doing a lot of reading"
Don’t worry people. He’s been able to sneak in a golf game or two as well.
It blows my mind how dishonest the media is. They’re so corrupt at this point that there’s really no way to fix it. If George W. Bush even glanced at a golf club he was criticized in the media. Bush never took any extravagant vacations while he was president. Yeah he took quite a few “vacations” but they were usually to his ranch — not Martha’s Vineyard.
Bush was criticized for going to his ranch while “soldiers were dying in Iraq and Afghanistan” but somehow Obama gets a pass even though soldiers are still dying. Moreover, they’re dying in a war that Obama himself escalated.
UPDATE
From Jake Tapper’s Twitter:
Reporter shouts question on Iraq to POTUS, who’s ordering at restaurant. POTUS responds: "We’re buying shrimp, guys. Come on."
Remember Bush’s now infamous “Watch this drive” comment? Where’s the media on this?
