Unlike the Tea Party which is often accused of inciting violence but never has, Al Gore’s rhetoric on global warming and the environment led to violence this afternoon.

Police were forced to shoot and kill a man in Maryland today after he entered the headquarters of The Discovery Channel and took hostages.

The man’s name was James J. Lee and he was a well known eco-nut in the area. He left behind a manifesto online that calls for population control saying the planet doesn’t need humans.

"All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions," the list of demands read.

"In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it."

Lee was arrested back in 2008 protesting outside the Discovery building. Lee said at the time he experienced an “awakening” after seeing Al Gore’s largely fraudulent and misleading film “An Inconvenient Truth.”
