Bernie Madoff Interviewed From The Clink
Super-swindler Bernie Madoff granted his first interview since being sent to prison for 150-years for running the biggest Ponzi scheme in history.
Like any good sociopath, Madoff seemed perfectly fine and was quite candid about his thievery and expressed surprise that he was able to get away with the scam for so long:
"There were several times that I met with the SEC and thought ‘they got me,’" Madoff told Joseph Cotchett, a San Francisco lawyer threatening to sue his wife, sons and brother on behalf of a group of victims.
Madoff is clearly a sociopath with absolutely no conscience whatsoever. He literally stole the livelihood of every person he ever called his friend and thousands more people he never even met. Every handshake, every lunch, every phone call to discuss a business deal was based on a lie and a fraud.
A normal person couldn’t look themselves in the mirror for 20+ years with the knowledge that someday everyone you knew would discover you stole their life savings and left them with nothing.
Madoff is a schemer and a predator who deserves to be executed. He has the blood on his hands of three different people who committed suicide after learning their life’s wealth had been stolen.

Steve McNair’s Death Blamed On “Gun Culture”
A favorite American pastime of the mainstream media is to hold guns responsible anytime a person is shot dead.
Predictably, former NFL star Steve McNair’s death was no exception.
The NY Daily News’s Mike Lupica writes of McNair’s death:
McNair’s life and his career were all about the possibilities of sports and the country. He showed everybody that you could come from Mount Olive and a small college and if you had the talent and character and even heart, you had the same equal opportunities as anybody else.
Now McNair dies the way he dies and shows you that a gun in the wrong hand is still the greatest equalizer of all.
He came from the Friday night lights of John Brewer Field to being the kind of football star and sports celebrity he became in Nashville. Now he dies in a Nashville condominium with a 20-year-old woman not his wife, multiple gunshot wounds, one to the head, the young woman dead there next to him.
The gun was found next to the woman, Sahel Kazemi. Where did the gun come from? Where it always comes from: Somewhere.
The death of McNair is tragic to be sure. However, to assume he would be alive if only guns were outlawed is flawed reasoning.
If someone wants you dead bad enough that they’re willing to shoot you and then themselves you had better sleep with one eye open.
They’ll use a knife if they can’t get a gun, and if they can’t get a knife they’ll use poison.
It’s too early to know for sure what happened with McNair, but what we do know is that a gun didn’t sneak into his house and shoot him.
The old saying, “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” is over used to be sure, but it’s nevertheless true.
Ed Morrissey over at Hot Air makes another good point on this:
For the record, the murder of a boyfriend, as this appears to be, is slightly more likely to happen by knife instead of gun. Statistics from the DoJ on murders of intimates from 1990-2005 show that 47% of murdered boyfriends get stabbed to death, while 45% of them get killed by guns. Would Lupica attribute that to a “knife culture”?
The bottom line here is that Steve McNair’s death is very sad indeed. He was an amazing athlete and good person by all accounts.
By contrast, Mike Lupica is an asshat.
Video: Teenager Accused Of Dozen Or More Cat Killings Is One Sick Puppy
This sick bastard is a Ted Bundy in the making. Dozens of residents in a South Florida neighborhood discovered their cats missing over several weeks. The animals later turned up dead and gruesomely mutilated.
The culprit turned out to be a “nice young man” who lived in the neighborhood and everyone knew. Neighbors described him as courteous and friendly.
Normal people simply do not do things like this. 18-year old Tyler Hayes is a classic example of a sociopath. All accounts are that his family is normal and he had a normal childhood.
This too is not unusual. Hayes was born the way he is. For whatever reason, he was born without the ability to empathize with others. He doesn’t experience emotions the way normal people do.
The only thing society can do with someone like Hayes is lock him up forever. He is the most dangerous type of person there is.
Had he not been caught for the animal killings it was only a matter of time before he started butchering people.
In short, prisons were built to house people like Tyler Hayes. He is the very embodiment of a danger to society. He’s a danger to every living thing around him, because he lacks the basic moral compass that the majority of human beings are born with.
It would the most horrifying thing imaginable to realize your seemingly normal son is really a monster. He’s good looking, smart, and seemingly healthy. But on the inside, he’s as dead and lifeless as a person can be.
As a psychology major in college, I found this area of study to be the most fascinating.
Two Soldiers Shot Outside Recruiting Center In Little Rock
This from KATV:
One person is dead, another seriously injured, and a third is in custody following a double shooting in west Little Rock Monday morning.
Authorities say the incident occurred around 10:15 a.m. at a U.S. Army Navy Career Center inside the Ashley Square Shopping Center at 9112 North Rodney Parham Road.
According to Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department, two enlisted soldiers standing outside the office were hit when the unidentified suspect drove up and began shooting.
After a brief chase, the shooter was apprehended. Police do not yet know what the motivation was for the shooting or if the recruiting station was specifically targeted.
**UPDATE**
We now know more about the shooter. He’s 24-year old Carlos Bledsoe better known as Abdul Hakim Mujahid Muhammad — a recent Muslim convert. Not surprisingly, he has a grievance of some kind with the U.S. military.

The Murder Of Dr. Tiller Is An Outrage
Dr. George Tiller was certainly no saint. Even those who are pro-choice (myself included) thought Tiller was a barbarian.
He was one of only two doctors in the U.S. willing to perform late-term or partial birth abortions. If doing that was no big deal a lot more doctors would be willing to do it.
For $5,000, Dr. Tiller would terminate a pregnancy regardless of how far a long it was. I may be pro-choice, but killing a baby that’s already a fully formed human capable of living outside the womb is murder.
Having said that, what happened to Dr. Tiller was also murder. It’s an outrage that anyone would take that kind of vigilante action. Cutting a man down in church in front of his wife is despicable.
Murdering abortion doctors or firebombing clinics is domestic terrorism and should be treated as such.
Wacko “Christians” who murder abortion doctors are no different than wacko Muslims who murder in the name of their faith.
In a civilized society this kind of thing cannot and should not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Predictably, the left-wing kooks at the Kos, HuffPo, and elsewhere are doing their best to make political hay out of this terrorist act.

Gov. Sarah Palin issued a statement concerning the murder of George Tiller:
"I feel sorrow for the Tiller family. I respect the sanctity of life and the tragedy that took place today in Kansas clearly violates respect for life. This murder also damages the positive message of life, for the unborn, and for those living. Ask yourself, ‘What will those who have not yet decided personally where they stand on this issue take away from today’s event in Kansas?’
Regardless of my strong objection to Dr. Tiller’s abortion practices, violence is never an answer in advancing the pro-life message."

Rep. Jane Harman Caught On NSA Wiretaps
CQ Politics has an interesting story (a very interesting story) about California Democrat Rep. Jane Harman being caught on an NSA wiretap.
She was allegedly overheard agreeing to a quid pro quo with a covert Israeli agent.
It will be a shame if this turns out to be true and ends her career. Harman is one of the only reasonable democrats left.

13 Dead After Shooting Rampage At NY State Immigration Center
A gunman recently laid off from his job at IBM went on a shooting rampage today at a NY state immigration center killing 13 people before taking his own life.
The 90 Percent Myth: Only 17% Of Guns In Mexico Traced Back To U.S.
You know that statistic gun grabbing politicians have been relentlessly shilling in the press for weeks? The one claiming that 90% of all weapons used to commit crimes in Mexico come from the United States.
The only problem with that statistic is that it’s a total and complete lie. It’s one of the most dishonest stats ever to be uttered by a politician.
The truth is that only 17% of guns found at Mexican crime scenes or recovered in Mexico are traced back to the U.S.
When confronted with this, a spokesman from The ATF told Fox News that 90 percent of traced firearms originate from the U.S. The keyword here is traced.
The facts:
In 2007-2008, according to ATF Special Agent William Newell, Mexico submitted 11,000 guns to the ATF for tracing. Close to 6,000 were successfully traced — and of those, 90 percent — 5,114 to be exact, according to testimony in Congress by William Hoover — were found to have come from the U.S.
But in those same two years, according to the Mexican government, 29,000 guns were recovered at crime scenes.
In other words, 68 percent of the guns that were recovered were never submitted for tracing. And when you weed out the roughly 6,000 guns that could not be traced from the remaining 32 percent, it means 83 percent of the guns found at crime scenes in Mexico could not be traced to the U.S.
The vast majority of guns are smuggled into Mexico from Russia, China, and South America. Most of the AK-47’s used by the cartels that John Kerry and Attorney General Eric Holder are always crying about do not come from America.
Most are fully automatic and have been illegal to own in the U.S. since the mid 1980’s. The drug cartels use their vast financial resources to buy shipments of fully automatic weapons from the third world.
Hand grenades and machine guns from South Korea and China have been recovered. Guatemala is also a major source of weapons getting into Mexico.
The other issue is corruption on the part of the Mexican military. Legitimate shipments of fully automatic M16 rifles from Colt have been sold to the Mexican government only to turn up later in the hands of drug cartel assassins.
According to Mexican officials, more than 150,000 Mexican soldiers have deserted in the last 6 years and most took their weapons with them.
You know our politicians know all this, but they continue to peddle these outrageous lies in the public as an excuse to pass more gun laws.
Democrats didn’t give a damn about border security until they saw an opportunity for a gun grab. This is an outright attempt to spread propaganda about what is really happening in Mexico.

Ohio Man Arrested For Drunk Driving On Motorized Bar Stool
You really have to see this to believe it. An Ohio man was arrested for drunk driving on his homemade motorized bar stool. 28-year old Kile Wygle was spotted driving a “strange motorized machine” and police were contacted after he wrecked.
When Police arrived on the scene, Wygle told them “I wrecked my bar stool” and pointed out the machine is capable of hitting 40 mph, even though he wrecked at only 20 mph.
The only thing Kile Wygle is guilty of is being awesome.

Calls For Investigating John Murtha Picking Up Steam
You just gotta love Washington. Rep. John Murtha appears to be up to his eyeballs in corruption involving earmarks and defense contractors, but democrats have thus far refused to investigate.
Even when the FBI raided the offices of contractors Murtha allegedly funneled earmarks through, Democrats refused to remove stimulus money headed for those companies.
Politico has an article today about republican Rep. Jeff Flake repeatedly introducing resolutions calling for an investigation into Murtha’s corruption. Each time he introduces the resolution he peels off a few more democrats who join him in calling for an investigation.
This, according to Politico has democrats worried. House leaders are keeping a close eye on the situation, but Nancy Pelosi remains dead set against an investigation.
One aide worried that democrats may only be one big story away from the Murtha case blowing wide open.
So basically, democrats are acknowledging that Murtha is a corrupt asshole, but so far they’ve been able to keep it under wraps. The issue is not whether Murtha is corrupt, but if his corruption creates a big enough shit storm that they have to take action.
We really do have a sad ass bunch in Washington. The democrats should be crushed under the weight of their own hypocrisy. Nancy Pelosi loved to talk about the republican “culture of corruption” that took root over the last eight years.
She vowed to run “the most ethical Congress in history” which I guess is true if you don’t count the well documented corruption cases involving Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, and John Murtha — to name a few.
Let’s also not forget about all the tax cheats that Obama has hired or attempted to hire.
