Prince Charles says human beings must transform their lifestyles, stop mass consumption, and tackle Global Warming or face extinction. Keep in mind the asshole giving this warning is a f*cking prince who lives in a palace. A prince is warning about mass consumption.

Referring to himself as “an endangered species”, he warned that the world is already in the “sixth extinction event”, with species dying out at a much faster rate than at any time since the death of most of the dinosaurs 65 million years ago.

Despite campaigning for years on global warming, he said climate change was not the only problem but merely speeding up the “rapacious” destruction of natural resources like water, land and food that humans need to survive.

The Prince said if the world carries on “business as usual” then the human race itself could be in danger.

In an historic vote today, the Maryland State Board of Education provided specific guidance to all public schools to require that each student be environmentally literate before he or she graduates from high school. The vote cements Maryland as the first state in the country to approve a graduation requirement in environmental literacy, a credit to Governor O’Malley, to board members, and to Dr. Nancy Grasmick, State Superintendent of Schools.

That means kids have to be indoctrinated with Al Gore’s junk science about “Global Warming” before they can graduate. Nice.

The debate about global warming has reached ridiculous proportions and is full of micro-thin half-truths and misunderstandings. I am a scientist who was on the carbon gravy train, understands the evidence, was once an alarmist, but am now a skeptic. Watching this issue unfold has been amusing but, lately, worrying. This issue is tearing society apart, making fools out of our politicians.

Let’s set a few things straight.

The whole idea that carbon dioxide is the main cause of the recent global warming is based on a guess that was proved false by empirical evidence during the 1990s. But the gravy train was too big, with too many jobs, industries, trading profits, political careers, and the possibility of world government and total control riding on the outcome. So rather than admit they were wrong, the governments, and their tame climate scientists, now outrageously maintain the fiction that carbon dioxide is a dangerous pollutant.

Environmental kook Diane MacEachern has an interesting insane piece up at The Huffington Post. She uses a lot of bland language and non-threatening terms but her message is clear. We must keep our population growth under control through vigorous “family planning” in order to stop “Climate Change.”

Accelerating the development of clean energy is critical, as is maximizing energy efficiency. But neither strategy will be enough if we don’t set our sights on a world where population actually decreases over time.

That may not be as difficult as it seems. Every country that offers easy access to contraceptive and safe abortion services also has a fertility rate of two children per woman or fewer, consistent with a declining population, notes Worldwatch’s Engelman. Further, he says, more than two out of five pregnancies worldwide are unintended, suggesting that a world in which women everywhere were fully in control of their childbearing would soon reverse population growth.

I’m not one of those people who’s against contraception by any means. If a woman wants birth control pills she should have access to them. What I’m against is Communist Chinese style population control to stop something that isn’t real. Global warming is a farce. CO2 emissions are not destroying the earth. Al Gore is a fraud.

The idea that America should fund abortions worldwide in order to combat “Climate Change” is insane.

We all knew it would happen. But I’m surprised it happened this fast. The far left is already blaming the earthquake in Japan on “Climate Change.” They could at least wait until the aftershocks stop before making stuff up.

“When the ice is lost, the earth’s crust bounces back up again and that triggers earthquakes, which trigger submarine landslides, which cause tsunamis,” Bill McGuire, professor at University College London, told Reuters.

Melting ice masses change the pressures on the underlying earth, which can lead to earthquakes and tsunamis, but that’s just the beginning. Rising seas also change the balance of mass across earth’s surface, putting new strain on old earthquake faults, and may have been partly to blame for the devastating 2004 tsunami that struck Southeast Asia, according to experts from the China Meteorological Administration.

Oh geez, here we go again.

Republicans on the House Energy and Commerce Committee were practically salivating this afternoon with EPA chief Lisa Jackson finally in front of them. Each member let the red meat fly, ripping into Jackson, ripping into the EPA, and declaring global warming to be a “hoax.” It was freaking beautiful! Lisa Jackson is one of the true villains in this administration. She and her eco-nut cronies in the EPA will destroy our economy if they’re not reigned in immediately. That is not an exaggeration.

I was too lazy to rip the entire hearing and post it, but I’ll try and do that later today. In the meantime, here are a few highlights. Rep. Joe Barton is positively giddy when he sits down.

I only have one criticism of the hearing. Some of the freshman congressmen were reading Jackson the riot act but ended up getting their facts wrong. Republicans need to be very careful about that. Let the red meat fly but make sure you know what you’re talking about. This is a complicated issue and it’s important to have command of the facts. Putting on a good YouTube show doesn’t help the country if what you’re saying isn’t true.

Climate propagandist Al Gore is speaking out today via his blog, “Al’s Journal,” in a direct response to Bill O’Reilly’s challenge to him. O’Reilly was commenting the other night about the extreme cold in NYC and across the nation and wondered aloud what Al Gore would have to say about it. Of course, we all know what Al Gore would say about it which is exactly what the joke was. But, “Dr.” Al went ahead and gave a predictable response anyway.

Last week on his show Bill O’Reilly asked, “Why has southern New York turned into the tundra?” and then said he had a call into me. I appreciate the question.

As it turns out, the scientific community has been addressing this particular question for some time now and they say that increased heavy snowfalls are completely consistent with what they have been predicting as a consequence of man-made global warming:

“In fact, scientists have been warning for at least two decades that global warming could make snowstorms more severe. Snow has two simple ingredients: cold and moisture. Warmer air collects moisture like a sponge until it hits a patch of cold air. When temperatures dip below freezing, a lot of moisture creates a lot of snow.”

“A rise in global temperature can create all sorts of havoc, ranging from hotter dry spells to colder winters, along with increasingly violent storms, flooding, forest fires and loss of endangered species.”

The funny thing about climate extremists is that like conspiracy theorists nothing can disprove their beliefs. If we have a mild winter next year Al will say it’s because of global warming. If we have an extremely cold winter next year Al will say it’s global warming. If we have a hot summer it’s because of GW and if we have a mild summer it’s because of GW. No matter the weather it’s always global warming that is to blame. That’s not science that’s religion.

With every passing day the man-caused global warming narrative is proven false. And those who continue preaching it look all the more foolish. Take for instance an article from The Telegraph only a few days ago. It’s an explosive story that should have been front page news around the world, but wasn’t. It completely destroys a favorite talking point of the GW crowd. That the Himalayan glaciers are rapidly melting and we humans are the cause.

This is a very important point that many on the right still don’t quite grasp. It’s something I and other conservatives have been saying for years. The radical environmental movement has very little to do with the environment. It’s about so-called “Social Justice.” Barack Obama is a big believer in SJ and has pushed it in all its forms since college. I encourage everyone to watch the clip I posted a few days ago of Van Jones explaining to college students exactly what Social Justice means. What he describes is quite literally Communism.

The clip I’m posting now is equally important. Van Jones admits that environmentalism really is all about “Social Justice.” This admission is really not that unusual. The people in the Obama administration have talked about this dozens of times, but it never gets any media attention. The administration recently held a meeting at The White House with various eco-nut groups on “Environmental Justice.” It was on CSPAN for all to see. The left depends on the majority of Americans remaining ignorant about their schemes. Which is why Glenn Beck’s show is so damn important. He highlights the sinister but obscure plans taking shape behind the scenes.

When it comes to the “Green Movement” there are true believers involved. People who honestly just want to save the planet from the “Global Warming” they’ve been led to believe is real. Most of the Hollywood pinheads fall into this category. But the greenies in the Obama administration and the groups they’re allied with have a very different agenda. These hard leftists and Marxists have hitched their wagons to the Green Movement because they see it as the best way to achieve “Social Justice.” Which is essentially about forced income redistribution from the wealthy to the poor. Not just in this country but around the world. People like Obama and Van Jones believe America and The West got its riches through the exploitation of the Third World.

The best way to redistribute wealth to these poor countries is to say it’s about saving the world. That’s what all these “Climate Conferences” are about. Getting the major nations of the world (mainly the US) to pony up billions of dollars to make restitution for all the carbon we put into the air. It’s the biggest scam ever perpetrated in human history.

The White House energy and climate adviser is due to step down in the next few weeks, in a departure seen as the collapse of Barack Obama’s ambitious green agenda.

Officials told reporters on Monday night that Carol Browner, who had served as the first White House energy and climate change “tsar”, would be leaving and that she may not be replaced.

Reports of Browner’s exit – barely 24 hours before Obama was to set out his priorities for the coming year in his state of the union address – reinforced concerns expressed by environmental groups that he was preparing further compromises on his once-ambitious green agenda to try to build a working arrangement with Republicans.

Obama has also come under pressure from the main business lobby, the Chamber of Commerce, which opposes environmental regulations.

But Browner’s exit also recalled the extent to which Obama failed to realise his sweeping campaign promise of weaning America off fossil fuels, and making the transition to a new clean energy economy.

Browner, who headed the environmental protection agency during the Clinton administration, was seen as a shrewd operative, and was designated Obama’s point person in the effort to enact climate change legislation.

With Democrats in control of both houses of Congress, environmental organisations in early 2009 saw reasonable prospects for the passage of comprehensive climate change legislation.

In Obama’s first months in the White House, Browner presided over a complex set of negotiations with US car manufacturers to produce an agreement that would increase fuel efficiency by as much as 25% over the next five years.

She was also credited with giving Democratic leaders in Congress room to build support to pass a climate change bill through the house of representatives in June 2009. But the effort to pass cap and trade bill foundered in the Senate last year – with some Democrats blaming Obama for failing to send a strong enough signal that he was behind the bill. Others blamed the White House for choosing to move forward on health care reform before energy and climate change.

Since the Democrats’ defeat in November’s mid-term elections, Obama has said he will not seek to pass sweeping climate change legislation.

“I think there are a lot of Republicans that ran against the energy bill that passed in the House last year and so it’s doubtful that you could get the votes to pass that through the House this year or next year or the year after,” Obama told a post-election press conference.

Meanwhile, Republicans in the house were calling for an investigation of Browner’s influence over the energy and climate agenda.

The EPA she once served was also in the firing line of Republicans, and some conservative Democrats, who are pushing to strip the agency of its authority to act on greenhouse gas emissions.

Browner’s reputation also took a hit with the Obama administration’s handling of the BP oil spill. In August, she made the now-notorious claim on behalf of the White House that the “vast majority” of the 4.9m barrels of oil that spewed into the Gulf of Mexico from BP’s broken well was gone. Her statement was later discredited.

Even before reports of Browner’s exit, environmental organisations had already been expressing fears that Obama was prepared to sacrifice his green agenda to his efforts to build a working relationship with Republicans.

More than 20 environmental and public health organisations wrote to Obama last week urging him to stand up for the EPA in his state of the union speech tonight.

The agency, which begun the process of regulating greenhouse gas emissions this year, has become the prime target for anti-government Republicans.

Republicans, along with Democrats from coal and oil states, are pushing to block the EPA from regulating greenhouse gas emissions, while environmental organisations want a commitment from Obama to use his presidential veto power to stop any such move.
