UK Climate Scientist Forced To Temporarily Step Down Over Climategate

December 1, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming · 2 Comments

From the AP:

Britain’s University of East Anglia says the director of its prestigious Climatic Research Unit is stepping down pending an investigation into allegations that he overstated the case for man-made climate change.

The university says Phil Jones will relinquish his position until the completion of an independent review into allegations that he worked to alter the way in which global temperature data was presented.

This is an opportunity to finally expose global warming for the fraud that it is. Phil Jones and his colleagues have spent decades attempting to deceive the entire world. The most important thing now is to see that the investigation is conducted honestly and transparently.

Video: Czech President Rips Al Gore Over Global Warming

Czech President Vaclav Klaus is a damn hero. He’s the only world leader with the balls to call Al Gore out on his phony global warming agenda.

I literally agree with every word of that.

The Great Global Warming Scam

November 24, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming · 1 Comment

Global Warming Scam

The Washington Times has a great editorial about the giant scam that is global warming, and the recent hacked emails that prove it. Everything skeptics like myself have been saying for years was proven true in those emails. Many climatologists have ceased being scientists and instead have become evangelists for a kind of eco-religion that is based on ideology rather than sound science.

UN Climate Prediction: “We Have 4 Months To Secure Future Of Our Planet”

global-warming

The idiots at the UN held their Global Environment Forum yesterday where leaders waxed poetic about the dire consequences of global warming — phony global warming.

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon gave a speech about the perils of climate change and patted himself and the UN on the back for making a phony issue real.

The highlight of the speech was this:

We have just four months. Four months to secure the future of our planet.

I’m glad to hear it. I hope this means we can stop talking about phony climate change in four months.

Study: Enormous Funding For ‘Climate Change’ Has Distorted The Science

July 23, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming · Comment

Al-Gore-Climate-Change

The Science and Public Policy Institute has published a new study called Climate Money that shows the connection between climate alarmism and money.

It found that the enormous sums spent on ‘climate change’ research (more than $79 billion) has distorted the science towards “self-serving alarmism.”

Here are the key findings from the study:

Ø The US Government has spent more than $79 billion of taxpayers’ money since 1989 on policies related to climate change, including science and technology research, administration, propaganda campaigns, foreign aid, and tax breaks. Most of this spending was unnecessary.

Ø Despite the billions wasted, audits of the science are left to unpaid volunteers. A dedicated but largely uncoordinated grassroots movement of scientists has sprung up around the globe to test the integrity of “global warming” theory and to compete with a lavishly-funded, highly-organized climate monopsony. Major errors have been exposed again and again.

Ø Carbon trading worldwide reached $126 billion in 2008. Banks, which profit most, are calling for more. Experts are predicting the carbon market will reach $2 – $10 trillion in the near future. Hot air will soon be the largest single commodity traded on global exchanges.

Ø Meanwhile, in a distracting sideshow, Exxon-Mobil Corp is repeatedly attacked for paying just $23 million to skeptics—less than a thousandth of what the US government spends on alarmists, and less than one five-thousandth of the value of carbon trading in 2008 alone.

Ø The large expenditure designed to prove the non-existent connection between carbon and climate has created a powerful alliance of self-serving vested interests.

Ø By pouring so much money into pushing a single, scientifically-baseless agenda, the Government has created not an unbiased investigation but a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Ø Sound science cannot easily survive the vice-like grip of politics and finance.

Global warming is phony, the science behind it is phony, liberals who believe it are phony, and Al Gore is a lying tool.

Green is the new red and progressives are using global warming as an excuse to gain a vice like grip on every aspect of our lives.

EPA Suppresses Its Own Report Casting Doubt On Global Warming

June 29, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming · 3 Comments

With every passing day more and more cracks appear in the global warming agenda being pushed by the Obama administration and their radical leftist allies.

Americans are beginning to realize that Al Gore is a charlatan who’s made millions off his phony science and flawed computer models.

The newest problem for global warming fanatics is the revelation that the EPA suppressed its own report casting doubt on global warming.

The 98-page report authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin took issue with the absurd prospect of regulating greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide as a way to reduce global warming.

He also pointed out the rather inconvenient fact that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined.

The 98-page report, co-authored by EPA analyst Alan Carlin, pushed back on the prospect of regulating gases like carbon dioxide as a way to reduce global warming. Carlin’s report argued that the information the EPA was using was out of date, and that even as atmospheric carbon dioxide levels have increased, global temperatures have declined.

The EPA is quick to point out that Alan Carlin is an economist — not a scientist. Which I take to mean we shouldn’t believe anything he says about global warming.

Fair enough, but it’s worth pointing out that Al Gore is a washed up vice president — not a scientist.

The Ugly 8: The 8 Cap and Tax Republicans

June 29, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming, Politics, Republicans · 1 Comment

The democrats in The House were able to get their gruesome “cap and trade” bill passed on Friday.

It was a razor thin victory thanks to a small but stupid group of republicans.

The following 8 republicans are a disgrace and should be thrown out of office in the next election.

These “ugly 8” don’t give a damn about the American people and chose to vote in favor of the most hideous job killing bill in history.

Climate Change Debate Happening Now, Call Congress and Tell Them To Vote NO

June 26, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming, Politics · 1 Comment

Tune-in to CSPAN right now to listen to the Cap and Trade debate before an expected vote later today.

Global warming is phony and the people who buy into it are fools. This is a left-wing takeover of the energy industry.

All this talk of “green jobs” is ridiculous. The Obama “climate change” bill is going to destroy our economy and will do nothing to improve the environment.

It’s time to melt the phone lines in Washington. Tell Congress to vote NO on this phony climate change crap.

Also, Michelle Malkin is live blogging the debate

It doesn’t matter if they’re in your district or not, you can still call and tell them to vote NO

World Finally Realizing That Global Warming Is A Scam

June 26, 2009 · Filed Under Global Warming, Science · 12 Comments

gore-global-warming

The U.S. may have a bunch of dumbasses running it for the moment, but fortunately the rest of the world does not.

The Wall Street Journal has an excellent piece today about the swell of global warming skepticism that is sweeping across the world. The article coincides with Congress’s vote today on “Cap and Trade” legislation to cut carbon emissions so that Al Gore can sleep better at night.

Hundreds of leading scientists around the world are finally speaking up and refusing to be intimidated by climate zealots.

The number of skeptics, far from shrinking, is swelling. Oklahoma Sen. Jim Inhofe now counts more than 700 scientists who disagree with the U.N. — 13 times the number who authored the U.N.’s 2007 climate summary for policymakers. Joanne Simpson, the world’s first woman to receive a Ph.D. in meteorology, expressed relief upon her retirement last year that she was finally free to speak "frankly" of her nonbelief. Dr. Kiminori Itoh, a Japanese environmental physical chemist who contributed to a U.N. climate report, dubs man-made warming "the worst scientific scandal in history." Norway’s Ivar Giaever, Nobel Prize winner for physics, decries it as the "new religion." A group of 54 noted physicists, led by Princeton’s Will Happer, is demanding the American Physical Society revise its position that the science is settled. (Both Nature and Science magazines have refused to run the physicists’ open letter.)

The collapse of the "consensus" has been driven by reality. The inconvenient truth is that the earth’s temperatures have flat-lined since 2001, despite growing concentrations of C02. Peer-reviewed research has debunked doomsday scenarios about the polar ice caps, hurricanes, malaria, extinctions, rising oceans. A global financial crisis has politicians taking a harder look at the science that would require them to hamstring their economies to rein in carbon.

The entire global warming frenzy has nothing to do with real science and everything to do with flawed computer models. Al Gore has earned himself more than $100 million since his time as Vice President by peddling this phony science all around the world.

Every single member of Congress who votes in favor of Obama’s ridiculous climate bill should be thrown out of office in the next election.

Michael Jackson’s Death Causes News Blackout

June 25, 2009 · Filed Under Entertainment, Global Warming, Media · 4 Comments

michael-jackson

I realize we’re all supposed to be a nation in mourning over the death of Michael Jackson, but there’s some pretty important stuff going on right now in the world that we’re not hearing about.

Every single news channel is predictably wall to wall coverage of Michael Jackson’s death. Every second of the rest of the night and through tomorrow morning and beyond will be all Jackson.

There could not be a worse time for the country to go all celebutard crazy for several days.

Congress will be voting tomorrow on a disastrous and costly “climate change” bill to combat phony global warming.

The White House is probably ecstatic that Jackson picked tonight to keel over. As a result, most Americans will have no idea that the largest tax in history is being voted on tomorrow.

The so-called cap and trade system cooked up by Al Gore and his nutty band of environmental extremists will destroy our economy and lower the standard of living for everyone — while doing nothing to help the environment.

So while you’re waiting out this Jacko feeding frenzy, pick up the phone and help put the brakes on this global warming nonsense.

Call the members of Congress listed below and tell them to vote NO on “Cap and Trade.”
