Greenpeace co-founder Patrick Moore condemned what he called global warming “alarmism” today on Fox Business. He says global warming is a natural phenomenon.

With every passing week the global warming propaganda machine known as the IPCC is forced to retract another one of their phony Climate Change predictions.

The latest retractions have to do with rising sea levels and the possibility that the movie “The Day After Tomorrow” might come true (seriously).

Alarming predictions that global warming could cause sea levels to rise 6ft in the next century are wrong, it has emerged.

The forecast made by the influential 2007 Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which would have seen cities around the world submerged by water, now looks ‘unlikely’.

A Met Office study also rules out the shutdown of the Atlantic Ocean’s conveyor belt, which would trigger Arctic winters in Britain like those seen in the film The Day After Tomorrow.

The new revised bogus numbers are:

the report says the IPCC was right to warn of a sea level rise of up to 2ft by 2100, and that a 3ft rise could happen.

…The new Government funded study, says the worst case scenario is now a one metre (3.3 ft) rise.

Al Gore now says what most of us realized years ago. Corn ethanol is a horrible idea. A horrible idea that has caused farmers to grow corn for fuel instead of food.

He says the only reason he supported corn ethanol at the time is because he was running for president and the farmers in his home state wanted the subsidies.

‘One of the reasons I made that mistake is that I paid particular attention to the farmers in my home state of Tennessee, and I had a certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa because I was about to run for President.’

It’s pretty common knowledge at this point that Al Gore is a cynical, lying, scumbag who pushes junk science for political purposes. However, I didn’t expect him to just come out and say it.

American scientists have reacted with anger at a court ruling that strikes down Barack Obama’s decision to greatly expand medical research using stem cells taken from human embryos.

Scientists described the order by a federal judge in Washington, who said that the president had overstepped a law barring the government funding of research in which human embryos are destroyed, as “deplorable” and “a serious setback” in the search for cures to major diseases.

Lawyers for an alliance of Christian groups who brought the case, which tied opposition to experiments on embryonic stem cells to the anti-abortion campaign, said the ruling appeared to go further than restrictions under President George Bush and bar all government funding for such research. It also pushes the ever-contentious issue of abortion to the fore again in the runup to November’s mid-term elections and presents Obama with the difficult choice of whether he wants a battle in the courts and in Congress to repeal the legislation.

The court order came after an executive order by Obama in March last year that lifted restrictions put in place by Bush eight years earlier. Those restrictions limited government funding to a small number of existing lines of human embryonic stem cells. The administration had allocated about 0m (£160m) to the research. The National Institutes of Health added an additional 70 lines after Obama’s order. But Judge Royce Lamberth ruled that the president’s decision was in conflict with the Dickey-Wicker amendment, a 1996 law that bars the use of government funds for “research in which a human embryo or embryos are destroyed”. The law has been renewed by Congress each year.

Scientists swiftly condemned the ruling. The California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (Cirm) said the court order would disrupt advances in research for cures to diseases such as diabetes and Lou Gehrig’s. “The decision is a deplorable brake on all stem cell research,” said Cirm’s president, Alan Trounson. “Many discoveries with other cell types … would not happen without ongoing research in human embryonic stem cells.”

Steven Aden, a lawyer for the Alliance Defence Fund which brought the case, said: “We’re gratified that the court accepted what we think is a plain and commonsense reading of the applicable law and we’re hopeful that ultimately this will result in the renewal of good, science-based funding for adult stem cell research.”

Scientists were also left confused over whether they had to immediately halt embryonic stem cell work paid for with government funds or if the ruling only prevented federal authorities from distributing more grants.

Cirm said the order appeared to bar research permitted even under the tighter regulations imposed by Bush.

Aden said he believed the ruling prohibits any government-funded research involving embryonic stem cells.

“We think that’s right. When congress passed the Dickey-Wicker amendment back in the days of the Clinton administration the reason for that was to get the American public out of funding research that involves the destruction of human life,” he said.

An opinion poll by the Pew foundation last year found that 54% of Americans support research using human embryos.

Filmmaker James Cameron challenged Andrew Breitbart, Climate Depot’s Marc Morano, and filmmaker Ann McElhinney to a debate on global warming. Cameron said it was time to call the deniers out and make them answer for their lies in public. Cameron was given the chance to do just that at the AREDAY climate summit in Aspen where the debate was to be held.

Sadly, James Cameron canceled at the last minute after being pressured by climate extremists not to go through with the debate. It’s no coincidence that Al Gore also never wants to debate.

Eco-nuts never want to debate because their fraudulent science and nutty ideas would never stand up to public scrutiny. Had James Cameron gone through with the debate he would have lost and dealt a severe blow to the global warming industry.

According to the newly installed head of NASA, Charles Bolden, the Obama administration has tasked him with three main goals for the space program going forward — and none of them involve space…or exploration…or anything NASA was founded for in the first place.

1. “Re-inspire” children to want to get into science and math

2. Expand international relationships

3. Engage with Muslim nations to help them feel good about their historic contribution to science, math, and engineering.

Yeah, I feel like I’m in The Twilight Zone too. Bolden said number three is perhaps his most important mission. I’m not sure WTF Muslims have to do with NASA or the space program, but this is just bizarre.

Islamic nations haven’t made any worthy contributions to science in centuries. Most Muslim countries are still living in the 17th century. Women aren’t even allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia.

I guess we should congratulate them on perfecting the improvised explosive device (IED) to kill the maximum number of our troops even in armored Humvees. They were pretty creative when they hijacked our airplanes and knocked our buildings down too. That was engineering genius at its best.

You can add this NASA charade to the long list of disgraceful acts by our pathetic president.

It’s a new week and that means it’s time to debunk another global warming myth. This time it’s the false claim that the Gulf Stream is slowing down due to global warming. An entire movie, “The Day After Tomorrow”, was based on that faulty theory.

According to the BBC, scientists are now saying they see no evidence that the Gulf Stream is slowing down. There has been sporadic slowing in the short term, but no long term trend can be found.

Our space program that is the envy of the world is about to keep its feet firmly planted here on earth thanks to President Obama.

In the upcoming budget Obama plans to scrap NASA’s plans to return to the moon and the new rockets that were supposed to get them their.

When the White House releases his budget proposal Monday, there will be no money for the Constellation program that was supposed to return humans to the moon by 2020. The troubled and expensive Ares I rocket that was to replace the space shuttle to ferry humans to space will be gone, along with money for its bigger brother, the Ares V cargo rocket that was to launch the fuel and supplies needed to take humans back to the moon.

There will be no lunar landers, no moon bases, no Constellation program at all.

I particularly have a problem with NASA losing funds for building a new space ship that is sure to be a boondoggle of that will cost taxpayers billions and billions in cost overruns. I’m betting the private sector will build something on its own that will be better in the end anyway.

That said, it’s what Obama wants NASA to focus on instead instead of space exploration that really sucks:

…the White House will direct NASA to concentrate on Earth-science projects — principally, researching and monitoring climate change — and on a new technology research and development program that will one day make human exploration of asteroids and the inner solar system possible.

I’ll save the taxpayers billions of dollars and let the president in on a little secret — the climate is and has always changed. But much to the chagrin of the president, Al Gore, and social justice dickheads everywhere — humans aren’t responsible for that.

It makes my heart a couple of degrees warmer when I read things like this. Al Gore is such a buffoon. His dumbass phony science is slowly being exposed for the garbage that it is.

As I’ve reported many times on this website, the earth is not f*cking warming. All the climate change fear mongers and their ridiculous computer models were not just wrong — they were dead wrong.

Spiegel Online has a great piece about the climate change debate and how many in the scientific community are being forced to come to grips with the truth.

As you read the piece remember what dumbass Al Gore likes to say — “the science is settled.”

What people must realize is that the global warming debate has nothing to do with the weather or the climate. The same people who howl about global warming were howling about global cooling 25 years ago.

What “cap and trade” and the phony “green” movement is really about is redistribution of wealth. Global warming is simply a means to an end for the radical left to get the “redistributive change” they’ve been seeking all these years.

Lately, the term used most often by leftist eco-warrior’s is “environmental justice” which is a close cousin of “social justice” — both of which mean redistribution of wealth.

In fact, Obama’s former Marxist “green jobs” czar Van Jones explains it better than I ever could:
