Video: ‘60 Minutes’ Shows Pentagon Employee Selling Secrets To Chinese Agent
This is extremely disturbing video. I’ve actually read a lot about the espionage situation with China and it’s nothing short of chilling.
For years the United States has literally been under siege by China’s intelligence services. There is hardly a secret left that China hasn’t already stolen. Not only is America awash in undercover Chinese agents like the one “60 Minutes” shows, but Chinese hackers steal Pentagon secrets on a daily basis.
It’s literally open season on the US and nobody is doing a damn thing about it.
Add that to the fact that China has us by the balls financially and you start to realize what bad shape we’re actually in.
Health care reform can wait. What we really need is intelligence reform, but that’s for another post.
By the way, the two jerks in the video only got 15 years. That’s probably the biggest disgrace in this story. That Pentagon employee sold out his country for $2,000. He should have been given life. A life sentence would serve as a deterrent to other traitors.

Steve Schmidt’s War On Palin Is No Surprise
The chattering class in Washington is buzzing about former McCain campaign honcho Steve Schmidt attacking Sarah Palin on “60 Minutes.”
Schmidt addressed some of the behind-the-scenes “revelations” in the newly released book Game Change about the 2008 election. It’s the same book that brought us the Harry Reid “negro dialect” remark.
As Politico points out, it’s unpresedented for a former campaign strategist to so publicly tear down the very candidate he tried to build up just a few months prior.
The funny thing is that almost every single so-called revelation in the book Game Change involving Palin, was addressed by Palin herself in her own book, Going Rogue.
Even before all the votes were tallied and Obama declared the winner, cowardly anonymous aides began smearing Palin in the press.
The media chortled as reports that Palin was a “whack job” and a “diva” began leaking out. We heard how Palin was a nightmare to manage and unlike her public face was angry and hostile in private.
The list of despicable smears against her emanating from the McCain camp post-election are too numerous to name.
Schmidt’s reasons for going after Palin go way beyond anger over his portrayal in her book, however. Just as many on the left do, Schmidt fears Palin.
He all but said it on “60 Minutes.” He picked her at the last minute to run for VP with McCain, but didn’t intend on her becoming a political force in her own right. He figured she would serve her purpose and then go back to Alaska and never be heard from again.
Steve Schmidt is an establishment Republican. He’s a progressive cloaked in GOP attire just like John McCain and so many others. Establishment Republicans want candidates who will go along to get along and play the Washington dance.
Schmidt’s worst nightmare is for a true Conservative like Sarah Palin to sweep in and throw the phony Republicans out on their ass.
Real Conservatives like Palin are a mortal threat to the big spending, government expanding, corrupt, phony Republicans that currently hold power in the GOP.
Palin is despised by Republicans and Democrats alike from Alaska to Washington. She doesn’t give a damn if you have an (R) by your name if you act just like a (D).
You can expect more attacks on Palin as we get closer to 2012 from the phony elitist “intellectuals” within the party like David Brooks, and establishment GOP cronies and hacks like Steve Schmidt.
The McCain campaign was horribly managed. It was amateur hour throughout the whole damn race. As chief strategist, Steve Schmidt is to blame for that. His strategy sucked and everyone in Washington knows it.
I wouldn’t hire Schmidt to run a campaign for the local PTA. He’s a know-it-all jerk who in reality doesn’t know dick.

Scalia On Bush v. Gore: Get Over It!
From CBS:
People who believe the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision giving the 2000 presidential election to George W. Bush was politically motivated should just get over it, says Justice Antonin Scalia.
Scalia denies that the controversial decision was political and discusses other aspects of his public and private life in a remarkably candid interview with 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl, this Sunday, April 27, at 7 p.m. ET/PT.
“I say nonsense,” Scalia responds to Stahl’s observation that people say the Supreme Court’s decision in Gore v. Bush was based on politics and not justice. “Get over it. It’s so old by now. The principal issue in the case, whether the scheme that the Florida Supreme Court had put together violated the federal Constitution, that wasn’t even close. The vote was seven to two,” he says, referring to the Supreme Court’s decision that the Supreme Court of Florida’s method for recounting ballots was unconstitutional.
Furthermore, says the outspoken conservative justice, it was Al Gore who ultimately put the issue into the courts. “It was Al Gore who made it a judicial question…. We didn’t go looking for trouble. It was he who said, ‘I want this to be decided by the courts,’” says Scalia. “What are we supposed to say — ‘Not important enough?’” he jokes.
Call him conservative, just don’t call him biased on issues before the Supreme Court, including abortion, he says. “I am a law-and-order guy. I mean, I confess to being a social conservative, but it does not affect my views on cases,” he tells Stahl. “On the abortion thing, for example, if indeed I were…trying to impose my own views, I would not only be opposed to Roe versus Wade, I would be in favor of the opposite view, which the anti-abortion people would like to see adopted, which is to interpret the Constitution to mean that a state must prohibit abortion.” “And you’re against that?” asks Stahl. “Of course. There’s nothing [in the Constitution to support that view].”
Kudos to Justice Scalia for speaking the truth about Bush V. Gore. The far-left still just can’t quit saying Bush “stole the election” even after all this time. That argument didn’t hold up in 2000, and it doesn’t fair any better in 2008.
French president walks out of TV interview

French President Nicolas Sarkozy walked out of an interview with CBS television news show 60 minutes, according to a clip of the show released Sunday in advance of the interview’s airing.
A clearly disturbed Sarkozy stood up muttering in French about the question, which was not heard, in a short publicity clip put on the Internet ahead of the 60 Minutes broadcast Sunday night.
Before the CBS news show interview in Paris even began, Sarkozy called his press secretary “an imbecile” for arranging the session on a busy day.
In the interview conducted earlier this month and aired Sunday night, he candidly discussed what he likes about the U.S. But he grew frustrated when asked about his wife.
“If I had to say something about Cecilia, I would certainly not do so here,” Sarkozy replied.
He declared the interview over and said: “Bon courage.” Two weeks later, the Sarkozys’ divorce was announced.
