I have to hand it to johnny$ for keeping on this story. He was been on this from the beginning and it remains an unresolved matter.

Like Fox and other news channels, MSNBC often runs a small animated flag graphic on the bottom corner of the screen. What sets MSNBC apart is that their flag is upside down. After repeated requests for comment or explanation the network remains as silent on this issue as they were on the Edwards scandal.

Since the flag continues to fly upside down, one can only assume the network is making a statement.

As johnny$ points out:

Flying the American flag upside-down has a specific and long-held meaning: it is an internationally recognized sign of “dire distress” signifying “extreme danger to life or property” (US Code Chapter 10, 176). Any other display of the flag with the union side down is categorized as disrespect. How odd that MSNBC, which uses a right-side-up flag in other circumstances, chose to use a warning of “dire distress” in connection with American politics.

Given the fact that MSNBC is a radical left-wing news channel that hates our President and worships Barack Obama, I think the message is clear.

What they really should do is just scrap the flag all together and replace it with Barack Obama’s seal.
