Harry Alford, founder of the Black Chamber of Commerce, talked with Laura Ingraham on her radio show. Alford says he voted for Obama in 2008 because he was black, but now says that was the worst decision of his life. He called Obama’s policies “Marxist,” “Brownshirt,” and “anti-business.” Furthermore, he predicts Obama will barely get 30% of the black vote this time around.

I agree with everything he said except for the last part. Obviously, Harry Alford knows more about the black community than I do but I still think he’s being naive. All the polls show Obama’s support in the black community continues to hover in the 85-90% range. Most black people are going to vote for Obama no matter what. I’m sure many of the blacks in Alford’s circle won’t vote for Obama, but I’m talking nationwide. You can’t underestimate the extent to which liberals, Democrats, and poverty pimps like Al Sharpton have brainwashed black people.

If you’re thinking the name Harry Alford sounds familiar but you can’t quite place him let me help you out. Harry was the guy who had a showdown with Barbara Boxer back in 2008 at a Senate hearing over the environment. He called her out for trying to bring race into the discussion. He accused her of being “racial” and said he was offended. It was one of the greatest moments in TV that year.

This video is a perfect example of how the left uses race in this country. Every single thing liberals are involved with has some kind of racial component.

It has nothing to do with promoting “diversity” and everything to do with cynical politics and white guilt.

Mr. Alford saw right through Boxer’s race-baiting strategy and called her out on it.

By including the NAACP report and quoting other black leaders, she was gently reminding him that his viewpoint is contrary to the “black community.”

Mr. Alford rightly pointed out that he doesn’t really give a damn what other black people think or some other black group. He was there to discuss energy policy and the facts behind it.

Sen. Boxer’s cynical attempt to use racial politics was rebuffed loudly and in full public view.
