I’ve criticized CNN’s ascot wearing fool, Roland Martin, many times. The guy is a left wing hack and racial demagogue of the highest order. But what CNN is doing to him is beyond outrageous. This is a cause not only for manufactured outrage but actual outrage. It’s disgusting how PC and ridiculous this country is becoming.

The backstory:

During the Super Bowl Roland Martin made a serious of off handed jokes on Twitter:

Those tweets caused an uproar from gay attack dogs GLAAD, left wing Pinko journalists, and other lefty hacks. If you can believe it, GLAAD says those tweets encouraged violence towards gay people and CNN should fire Roland Martin. So after several days of manufactured outrage CNN finally caved into the pressure and has suspended Roland Martin. Unbelievable. CNN has less backbone than the Komen Foundation.

CNN’s Piers Morgan (don’t worry if you don’t know who he is) invited Andrew Breitbart on along with Michael Reagan to discuss left wing attacks on Mitt Romney by other Republicans. For some reason, Morgan prefaces his question to Breitbart by calling him “notoriously evil.”

The only thing “notorious” I’m aware of are Piers Morgan’s terrible ratings. Oh wait, and also Piers Morgan’s involvement in the British phone hacking scandal.

Ed Henry, CNN’s Chief White House Correspondent, has announced his departure from CNN to join Fox News.

I told you yesterday about CNN anchor Don Lemon admitting over the weekend that he was gay. He’s still continuing his victory lap on CNN as his co-workers bask in the glow of diversity and shower him with praise and “support.” As if Don Lemon really expected to get anything but “support.” The liberal media can’t get enough of this sh*t. Being gay is about the biggest career booster someone in the media can have. Being friends with a gay guy means you embrace “diversity” which puts you at the top of all the cocktail party lists. And actually being gay is even better because you can claim minority status and receive special treatment. Again, you go right to the top of the cocktail party lists.

Some people mistake my snarky posts about this subject as being anti-gay. In truth, I’m not anti-gay or pro-gay — I just don’t care. Why do we need to know Don Lemon’s sexual orientation? But the real issue is how contrived the whole “coming out” process is in the media. It’s just silly. Don Lemon claiming he feared being ostracized at work for being gay is absurd. His liberal colleagues will be falling all over themselves to be his friend now.

The only legitimate story out of all this is the way gays are treated in the black community. He’s right when he says a gay black man is about as low as it gets in the black community. But this too is a great example of left wing hypocrisy. The radical gay left loves to target Mormons and Christians for being anti-gay, but they never lay a glove on the black church. You never see a gay protest outside a black church. That’s because blacks won’t put up with that crap. Violence would break out for sure. Gay activists go for the easy targets like Mormon churches because they know the Mormons won’t do anything.

If gays were really serious about being treated fairly they would man up (or butch up) and protest the black churches. But that will never happen.

The NY Slimes Times has a lengthy piece this morning about CNN anchor Don Lemon. Lemon has a book about to hit store shelves. In it he admits that he’s gay, something most people who work with him have been aware of for years. In the Times piece he says he fears being “ostracized” for coming out. He claims he took so long to come out because he was afraid it would negatively affect his career.

I say the whole thing is overblown. These days being gay in the Democrat Media Complex is a sure winner. Networks will clamor to hire you so they can trumpet their “diversity.” The fact that he’s gay and black is a twofer. He will probably be the face of CNN by this time next year.

The whole “coming out” thing is freaking boring. It’s not the slightest bit controversial anymore. Don Lemon is gay. Woo hoo! Good for him. He’s still a left wing media hack.

CNN now has a gay black man and an Indian in prominent positions. But still no viewers.

President Obama often seeks advice and council from CNN’s Fareed Zakaria:

The fact that Obama gets advice about the Middle East from a far left journalist and Islam apologist speaks volumes about his foreign policy. It also raises significant ethical questions about the kind of “journalism” going on over at CNN.

Zakaria went on to praise Obama for his continued outreach to the Muslim world. I wonder if Zakaria is the reason Obama went on that disgraceful apology tour of the Middle East when he took office.

The bombs in Libya haven’t been coming from the military alone. Journalists have been lobbing bombs of their own at each other. Fox News reporter Steve Harrigan and CNN reporter Nic Robertson have been lobbing verbal grenades back and forth for two days now. Robertson went nuclear on-air a couple of days ago attacking Harrigan’s reporting and essentially calling him a lazy liar.

Harrigan responded today via The Huffington Post:

In an interview with The Huffington Post, Steve Harrigan, who is in Libya for Fox News, called Nic Robertson—who tore into the network and Harrigan himself on Monday—”dull,” said that Robertson would have talked to him in person “if he was a man,” and said that his idea of news reporting was “bullshit.”

The entire episode started over a simple misunderstanding. But for some reason Nic Robertson took it personally and went on the attack. Personally, I think Robertson is just upset that his ratings blow.

Rummy ripped President Obama over the weekend on Candy Crowley’s “State of the Union.”
