The head of the Communist Party USA gave a speech in Detroit on Oct. 7. He emphasized the need for “left and progressive” people to do all they can to get out the vote for Democrats.

Even if you’re not a Republican and don’t particularly care for Republicans just ask yourself one question.

Why would Communists want Democrats to stay in office?

The obvious answer is that Communists feel the modern day Democratic Party is the most closely aligned with their goals. Goals like social justice, redistribution of wealth, strengthening labor unions, and nationalized health care.

If the Obama agenda is shared by the Communist Party USA could it really be good for America? You make the call.

You just can’t make this stuff up. Christine O’Donnell’s Democratic opponent in Delaware might have a bunch of fancy ass degrees from various Ivy League schools, but he’s also a Marxist. In the Amherst College student newspaper in 1985, Chris Coons wrote an article titled “The Making of a Bearded Marxist,” which chronicled his transformation from founder of the campus Republicans to a Communist.

Does it get any better than that? How does this guy not work in the Obama administration? No wonder dingy Harry Reid likes him so much.

Christine O’Donnell should just hammer home to voters that electing Communists during a recession is never a good idea. Given the voter anger out there over the economy it’s hard to believe the people of Delaware are really going to elect a guy who’s to the left of Obama.

But hold on, the story gets even better. You would think this was written for right-wing bloggers. What was the transformational moment for Coons that made him go from Republican to Commie? A trip to Kenya of course.

The change occurred after a trip to Kenya, where his website says he was studying at the University of Nairobi.

“[I]t is only too easy to return from Africa glad to be American and smugly thankful for our wealth and freedom,” Coons wrote of the experience. “Instead, Amherst had taught me to question, so in turn I questioned Amherst, and America.”

Of course, like any good Marxist trying to get elected in America he’s supposedly reformed his views.

In the end, however, Politico notes that while Coons “had discovered the faults of his country, he had also ‘returned to loving America.’”

Ah yes, everyone has that flirtation with Marxism at some point in their life. But the important thing is that he’s “returned to loving America.” It blows my mind that Republicans like Karl Rove and Charles Krauthammer are so convinced that O’Donnell is going to lose. They’re totally out of touch on this one. I think she has a shot at winning big.

What we need in Congress are people with principles. It doesn’t take a genius to be a lawmaker — it takes the right set of values and beliefs. When you’re starting from a solid set of core beliefs you’re usually going to make the right decisions. It’s time to take this country back from the elitist hacks and put real people in charge. Normal people. Average people. Honest people.

Radical Latino curriculum is poisoning young minds in Arizona. Fortunately,  Gov. Jan Brewer was able to ban the classes that promote the overthrow of the US Government, but a lot of nutty stuff still remains. Phyllis Schlafly has written a disturbing piece about this on IBD.

This law bans classes that "promote the overthrow of the United States government" or "promote resentment toward a race or class of people" because schools should treat all pupils as individual Americans. The issue arose because the Tucson School District offers courses in Mexican-American studies (known locally as Raza Studies) that focus on that particular group and its influence.

The law doesn’t prohibit these classes so long as they are open to all students and don’t promote ethnic resentment or solidarity. However, Arizona’s Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Horne, says the basic theme of the Mexican-American studies program is that Latino students "were and continue to be victims of a racist American society driven by the interests of middle- and upper-class whites."

Among the goals listed for the Mexican-American Studies are "social justice" and "Latino Critical Race Pedagogy." Pictures of the classroom showed the walls decorated with "heroes," such as Fidel Castro and Che Guevara.

That’s not even the worst of it. Get a load of what they’re doing to US history:

The state of Arizona requires students to take a course in American history in order to graduate, but Ward said the course was actually not about U.S. history at all. He said it focused solely on the history of the Aztec people, which is the group to which Mexican-American activists ascribe their lineage.

Others who have looked at the books used in these courses say they refer to Americans as "Anglos" or "Euroamericans" rather than as "Americans." The books do not recognize the U.S. as a country, but claim Arizona is part of "Aztlan, Mexico" (even though the Aztecs never lived in what is now the U.S.).

To say that our education system is broken is really an insult. The fact is we no longer have an education system. What we have is a propaganda and brainwashing system masquerading as an education system. Kids are literally being taught a fictional and completely made up version of history. Those who willingly teach this crap to kids are not educators, they’re liars.

Domestic terrorist/Marxist/Asshat Bill Ayres has announced his retirement from polluting young minds with Communist propaganda. Let’s all hope he doesn’t pop up again in a few months as a White House czar.
