A man in Louisiana is accused of bludgeoning, decapitating and dismembering his disabled 7-year-old son and leaving the boy’s head near the street so the child’s mother would see it, a killing that brought seasoned police officers to tears.

I pray this is true. It would be freaking incredible if it were. Extra claims Casey Anthony may be staying on Geraldo Rivera’s yacht for the time being. Geraldo apparently took Casey’s attorney, Jose Baez, sailing on it recently. Geraldo has been an apologist for Casey Anthony and defender of Jose Baez since day one.

The Jaycee Dugard story is one of the most horrifying and inspirational story I’ve ever heard. It’s simply unimaginable that she survived being held captive for 18 years by those vicious people. The couple that kidnapped her are animals who should be put down as soon as possible. 431 years in prison just doesn’t seem adequate. They need to suffer like she suffered. I believe our laws should be changed to allow the death penalty to apply to vicious child kidnappers/rapists. They can never be rehabilitated and never be set free. They are defective human beings and society should liquidate them.

Casey Anthony’s father has broken down crying while describing his emotions when he learned that granddaughter Caylee’s remains had been found in a wooded area near his Orlando home.

Officers from Britain’s Serious Organised Crime Agency are expected to begin tracing the bank accounts of Hosni Mubarak’s cabinet after the Egyptian government made a formal request for a freeze on the assets of the ousted president and his former colleagues.

The foreign secretary, William Hague, said Soca would take charge of the hunt for accounts in London, although the timing and extent of the investigation would be decided by EU finance ministers following discussions in Brussels. Hague said UK rules prevented the police from freezing bank accounts without “evidence of illegality or misuse of state assets”. He said if evidence became available, the government would take “firm and prompt action”.

Egypt’s state prosecutor meanwhile launched corruption investigations against three former government ministers and a member of parliament from Egypt’s ruling National Democratic party. They are the former minister of commerce, Muhammad Rachid, the former tourism minister, Zoheir Garranah, the former housing minister Ahmed Maghrabi, and member of parliament Ahmed Ezz.

The corruption investigations came as thousands of anti-government protesters remained in Cairo’s Tahrir Square and outside the parliament building. Protesters held a funeral procession for those killed in anti-protest violence.

British MPs have argued that the UK government should move more quickly to help the new Egyptian government in its efforts to repatriate illicit funds sent overseas. The shadow foreign secretary, Douglas Alexander, said the government had failed to authorise an immediate investigation to prevent funds leaving the UK for less regulated offshore tax havens. He said the government needed to move quickly to prevent Mubarak, his family and cronies who benefited from the corrupt regime from avoiding scrutiny.

The Egyptian government’s demand follows reports that the ex-president used his position as leader over 30 years to amass a fortune in cash, gold bars and other assets inside Egypt and overseas. It is understood Mubarak and his sons, Gamal and Alaa, are each billionaires with properties in London, Paris, the US and the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheikh. Protesters in Cairo and Alexandria have demanded the return of assets they believe were the result of corrupt deals between the Mubaraks and foreign investors.

To impose an asset freeze on an outgoing leader, the EU needs the backing of all 27 member states and usually co-ordinates its actions with the incoming government. Last week, it froze the assets of 48 Tunisian officials, including those of former president Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali and his wife.

Switzerland said it would freeze that assets of Mubarak family members in a statement over the weekend. Swiss bank accounts are a favourite with disgraced dictators as they have provided security and secrecy from investigations by foreign governments. It is not known if the Swiss authorities have any records of accounts held by the family, which are more likely to be in impenetrable trusts or in the names of obscure companies.

The Foreign Office is expected to notify the Soca of the identities of the named Egyptian officials over the next 24 hours, according to police. Soca would then circulate their names amongst banks and financial institutions and would notify City of London police or the Serious Fraud Office of any possible offences.

Gamal Mubarak, 47, has lived for many years in a £6m house in Wilton Place, Knightsbridge, west London, according to neighbours. The house is ultimately owned by the Duke of Westminster. Last week, builders could be seen working on the property’s basement. Friends of the Mubaraks have claimed that the family have lived in a number of desirable properties in Mayfair, central London, which were owned by offshore companies.

Gamal was a director of the London based medical firm Medinvest Associates for seven years until 2001, according to Companies House.

The college student who broke into Sarah Palin’s email account has been sent to prison after all. The federal judge in the case sentenced David Kernell to 1-year in prison but recommended he serve that time at a halfway house. The Federal Bureau of Prisons rejected the judges request and Kernell has been sent to prison.

This is a pretty amazing story. Mob boss John “Sonny” Franzese is the real deal. He’s one of the few original old school mafia bosses still breathing. He’s 93-years old and used to hang out with Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. at the Copacabana nightclub. His first arrest was in 1938.

A federal judge sentenced Franzese to 8-years in prison for extorting Manhattan strip clubs. The judge said it was difficult to send such an elderly man to prison, but wanted to send a message that advanced age won’t absolve someone of their crimes. Franzese is in a wheelchair and can barely speak.

It would be easy to get sentimental and want to let the old man off the hook. He’s just an old gangster in the final years of his life. But when you really look at his life you realize he deserves to die in prison. He’s murdered dozens of people throughout his life and ordered the murder of dozens more. He’a also a convicted rapist and bank robber.

Franzese’s first arrest, for assault, came in 1938. Prosecutors say he was kicked out of the Army four years later after displaying “homicidal tendencies.”

In 1947, court papers say, he raped a waitress in a garage. In 1966, he beat a murder charge accusing him of killing a rival and dumping the body — cement blocks chained to the feet — into a bay.

Franzese was convicted in 1967 in a bank robbery, sent to prison and paroled in the late 1970s. Though never convicted of another crime, authorities say he rose to second in command of the Colombos, one of New York’s five Italian crime families.

the government said Franzese’s true legacy was something more akin to “Goodfellas.”

The main reason Franzese dodged arrest in other murders is that he became good at making bodies disappear, the papers said. Investigators caught him on tape in 2006 describing his favorite recipe for that: Dismember victim in kiddie pool. Cook body parts in microwave. Stuff parts in garbage disposal. Be patient.

“Today, you can’t have a body no more,” the latest court papers quote him saying. “It’s better to take that half an hour, an hour, to get rid of the body than it is just to leave the body in the street.”

He may look like your grandpa, but he’s an evil guy. Fascinating for sure, but nevertheless evil.

A former classmate of Jared Loughner, the man who shot Rep. Giffords and others, says she was friends with him until 2007 when he became quite “reclusive” and dropped out of school. She says he was “left wing” and a “political radical.”

A classmate of the man accused of shooting Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords this morning describes him as “left wing” and a “pot head” in a series of posts on Twitter this afternoon.

Caitie Parker did not immediately respond to our request for an interview, but her “tweets” in the hours after the shooting paint a picture of Jared Loughner as a substance-abusing loner who had met Giffords before the shooting. She says, Loughner described the congresswoman as “stupid and unintelligent.”

We’ve confirmed that Parker and Loughner went to school together at Mountain View High School in Tucson and that both attended Pima Community College, so her claims of knowing Loughner seem to be legit.

Parker “tweets” that she and Loughner were in the band together and were friends until 2007 when he became “reclusive” after getting alcohol poisoning and dropping out of college.

She describes him as “quite liberal” and as a “political radical.”

I actually don’t believe leftist politics or any other politics played a role here. Loughner is mentally ill. He did what he did because he’s crazy. To suggest that “right wing rhetoric” had anything to do with it is absurd.

Discussions about “political discourse” are pointless because discourse had nothing to do with this. The left is trying to use this as a weapon against conservatives. What they want is for conservatives to shut the f*ck up and go along with their destructive left wing agenda. That’s not gonna happen.

In fact, I may actually increase the ferocity of my right-wing rhetoric in light of these phony allegations.

Here is some dramatic video of a police shootout in Ohio involving a suspect in a trailer park. Police responded to a call of shots fired in a trailer park. When they arrived and approached one of the trailers, a suspect opened fire with a shotgun, killing a female officer.

Our prayers are with the family of the slain officer. What a tragedy for her children.
