Barack Obama Bails On North Carolina Debate
“Time constraints and logistical issues” are the reasons Barack Obama’s campaign is giving for why he can’t make it to the North Carolina debate on April 27th.
The real truth is that Barack Obama can’t take a chance on another television network going “rogue” during a debate and asking real questions.
ABC clearly broke protocol by not being firmly in the Senator’s pocket during the last debate so it looks like there just won’t be anymore damn debates!
So let this be a warning to all the news networks! Barack Obama IS the Democratic nominee and anyone who strays off message again will be killed.
Judge Grants Kucinich Entry to NV Debate
From the AP:
A Nevada judge said Monday that Democratic presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich must be included in Tuesday’s candidates’ debate in Nevada.
Senior Clark County District Court Judge Charles Thompson said if Kucinich is excluded, he’ll issue an injunction stopping the televised debate.
The judge sided with a lawyer for the Ohio congressman, who says debate host MSNBC at first invited Kucinich to take part and then told him last week he couldn’t.
A lawyer for the network said MSNBC decided to go with the top three candidates after the Iowa and New Hampshire primaries.
The judge called it a matter of fairness and said Nevada voters will benefit if they hear from more than just Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards.
The cable network and the Democratic Party are calling the 9 p.m. EST debate a chance to hear issues from Nevada’s minority communities. Tim Russert and Brian Williams are moderating.
I don’t agree with the man’s politics, but I admire his effort. Good for him, he should be allowed to participate.

This Week: Last Debates Before Iowa
Nine Republican and six Democratic candidates will meet this week in their final debates before the lead off Iowa caucuses. The back-to-back debates will feature Republicans Wednesday aftertoon, and Democrats on Thursday.
Sponsored by Iowa Public Television and The Des Moines Register, the two debates will be held in Johnston, Iowa, and broadcast live at 2 p.m. EST on Iowa Public Television, CNN, C-SPAN3, Fox News Channel, C-SPAN Radio and Fox News Radio.
CNN: The Most Dishonest Name In News
We know now (as many suspected during the debate) that many of the questions last night were plants. CNN purposely tried to make Republicans look like a bunch of bible thumping idiots.
The gay General who asked about the “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy, and then browbeat the candidates with some prompting from Anderson “AC 360″ Cooper in fact works for the Hillary campaign.
It gets worse…
Abortion questioner is a declared Edwards’ supporter… and the Log Cabin Republican questioner is a declared Obama supporter…and lead toy questioner is a union activist for the John Edwards-endorsing United Steelworkers.

Fox News would have never rigged a debate for the Democrats. Republicans were incredibly naive to think CNN was capable of actually being honest.
Especially in light of the recent Harvard/Project For Excellence in journalism study which showed CNN to be the most heavily biased in favor of Democrats out of all the cable news channels. The study also found that the liberal talking point about Fox News being Republican is false. Fox News was found to be the most “neutral” when covering politics. Simply put, liberals are completely full of shit.

Political Convenience: Hillary Will Not Cross Picket Line For CBS Debate
This is truly hilarious! If this isn’t “The Politics of Convenience” I don’t know what is. Hillary Clinton is now saying that she won’t cross the picket line for the CBS debate.
From Drudge:
Clinton: I Will Not Cross Picket Line For CBS Debate
Hillary Clinton issued the following statement:
“The workers at CBS News have been without a contract for close to two and a half years. It is my hope that both sides will reach an agreement that results in a secure contract for the workers at CBS News but let me be clear:
“I will honor the picket line if the workers at CBS News decide to strike.
“America’s unions are the backbone of America’s middle class and I will always stand with America’s working men and women in the fight to ensure that they are able to earn a fair wage.”
Developing…
This may really hurt her in the polls. Everyone knows that a candidate is most vulnerable during debates. The fewer debates a candidate must participate in the better.
It really looks like she’s using the writer’s strike to get out of a debate. The fact that she had a poor showing in the debate a couple of weeks ago, makes it even more obvious that’s her strategy.
The best thing Obama and the rest of the candidates can do is appear without her and point out to the audience repeatedly what a calculating politician she is. They will get two hours to hammer her completely unchallenged.
What we have is clearly the “politics of convenience.”

Democrats Debate Tonight Live on MSNBC
Seven Democratic presidential candidates are scheduled to participate in a two-hour debate starting at 9 p.m. EDT Tuesday (0100 GMT Wednesday) and telecast on MSNBC and streamed live on msnbc.com.
Top Republicans defend conservative credentials

The top Republican White House contenders battled on Sunday over who was the better conservative, with Rudy Giuliani and Mitt Romney defending their records and views on social issues from strong attacks.
In a debate in the election swing state of Florida, former Tennessee Sen. Fred Thompson accused Giuliani of being out of step with the conservative values of the Republican Party and Arizona Sen. John McCain attacked Romney’s conservative credentials.
Thompson, a latecomer to the race who is chasing Giuliani in national opinion polls, said the former New York mayor’s support for abortion rights and gun control put him in a league with Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton, a New York senator.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee likened the freewheeling exchange between the top contenders to “a demolition derby.”
The candidates didn’t just go after each other last night. Nearly all the candidates delivered blistering attacks on Democrat front runner Sen. Hillary Clinton to uproarious applause.
GOP Debate Tonight
The G.O.P. presidential contenders will be in Orlando, Fla. tonight to square off in a debate sponsored by Fox News, which will be broadcast on the network at 8 p.m. Eastern.
