I would just ignore the corrections and send my constituents whatever the hell I wanted. I don’t think Democrats can legally do that, at least not to that extent.

Maybe she misspoke, maybe it was a miscommunication, or maybe it’s true. I don’t know, but RedState has the details.

Since the subject is labor unions, why not bust out the best union ad ever made.

Lanny Davis: Let’s Indict Cheney

May 18, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · Comment

dick-cheney

Liberal pundit Lanny Davis who’s on record as opposing any Bush-era prosecutions has changed his mind — at least about Cheney.

Davis now says he’s in favor of at least prosecuting Dick Cheney since he’s been so out front about authorizing “torture” (his word) and declaring Obama weak for abolishing it.

I agree with Lanny on this one. I’m fully in favor of whatever prosecutions the dems deem necessary.

I just wonder who’s going to be left after all the dust settles. Nancy Pelosi and her liberal colleagues were complicit in the so-called torture so it could get ugly.

To borrow a line from the 43rd president, bring it on.

Audio: Hypocrite Schumer Said Back 2004 That Torture Can’t Be Ruled Out

May 13, 2009 · Filed Under Video · Comment

Here’s yet another example of extreme hypocrisy from democrats.

Take a listen to Sen. Charles Schumer endorsing actual torture depending on the situation…

Come on democrats, let’s get those show trials underway. What are you waiting for?

Video: Incredibly Lame DNC Ad Mocking GOP

May 11, 2009 · Filed Under Video · Comment

Look at this ridiculous video from the DNC. It mocks the GOP for having people like Newt Gingrich and Dick Cheney representing the party on talk shows — instead of newer, cooler, and hipper people.

Sorry democrats, Dick Cheney is still right about Obama making the country unsafe.

Video: Proof Democrats Blocked Bush Administration Attempts To Prevent Mortgage Crisis

May 5, 2009 · Filed Under Economy, Politics, Video · 2 Comments

Here’s proof that the Bush administration way back in 2003 was sounding the alarm about the mortgage industry. Repeated attempts to pass new legislation aimed at getting a handle on Fannie and Freddie before they imploded were blocked by Democrats. Not only did Barney Frank and the dems block any new regulations, they were angry at republicans for even suggesting a problem existed.

So the “mess” that democrats are so fond of saying they “inherited” is a mess of their own making. Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, and the rest of those lying pricks should be impeached. The corrupt media will of course never admit any of this.

Democrats Refuse To Fund Gitmo Closure

May 4, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · Comment

This from the AP:

House Democrats are refusing to pay for President Barack Obama’s plan to relocate prisoners from the Guantanamo detention facility where enemy combatants are being held.

Obama has signed an executive order to close the facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, by early next year. But the Pentagon has yet to come up with a plan on where to put the 240 or so prisoners. Between 50-100 are likely to be sent to the United States.

This is of course, because the desire to close Gitmo on the part of democrats was primarily about opposing and smearing Bush — not about real opposition to Gitmo.

Even when Gitmo does close, many of the detainees will be moved to another facility that will be exactly like Gitmo just with a new name.

In fact, they should keep Gitmo open but just rename it. How about “Detainment facility for persons involved in man-caused disasters.”

s-JANE-HARMAN-large

CQ Politics has an interesting story (a very interesting story) about California Democrat Rep. Jane Harman being caught on an NSA wiretap.

She was allegedly overheard agreeing to a quid pro quo with a covert Israeli agent.

It will be a shame if this turns out to be true and ends her career. Harman is one of the only reasonable democrats left.

Calls For Investigating John Murtha Picking Up Steam

March 30, 2009 · Filed Under Crime, Liberals, Politics · Comment

Murtha

You just gotta love Washington. Rep. John Murtha appears to be up to his eyeballs in corruption involving earmarks and defense contractors, but democrats have thus far refused to investigate.

Even when the FBI raided the offices of contractors Murtha allegedly funneled earmarks through, Democrats refused to remove stimulus money headed for those companies.

Politico has an article today about republican Rep. Jeff Flake repeatedly introducing resolutions calling for an investigation into Murtha’s corruption. Each time he introduces the resolution he peels off a few more democrats who join him in calling for an investigation.

This, according to Politico has democrats worried. House leaders are keeping a close eye on the situation, but Nancy Pelosi remains dead set against an investigation.

One aide worried that democrats may only be one big story away from the Murtha case blowing wide open.

So basically, democrats are acknowledging that Murtha is a corrupt asshole, but so far they’ve been able to keep it under wraps. The issue is not whether Murtha is corrupt, but if his corruption creates a big enough shit storm that they have to take action.

We really do have a sad ass bunch in Washington. The democrats should be crushed under the weight of their own hypocrisy. Nancy Pelosi loved to talk about the republican “culture of corruption” that took root over the last eight years.

She vowed to run “the most ethical Congress in history” which I guess is true if you don’t count the well documented corruption cases involving Chris Dodd, Charlie Rangel, and John Murtha — to name a few.

Let’s also not forget about all the tax cheats that Obama has hired or attempted to hire.

By Ending School Vouchers Democrats Show Their True Colors

March 13, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · Comment

How offensive is it that democrats who claim (falsely) to be the champion of poor people and minorities would take away the right of poor D.C. kids to go to private school? The D.C. opportunity Scholarship Program allowed poor blacks and other minorities the chance to attend the same school as Barack Obama’s kids, but democrats refuse to allow that to happen. Starting next year, those kids will have to go back to the horrible D.C. public school system where they’re certain to not receive a decent education.

The reason democrats want to keep poor kids out of good private schools is because they don’t want them to be successful. Democrats depend on keeping black people poor and ignorant so they can win elections. There’s no advantage for democrats to actually lift anyone out of poverty. That’s why they drown the ghettos with entitlements and tell minorities that without their help they have no chance of being successful in America.

The D.C. public school system is the most expensive per student system in the country. They spend $14,000 dollars per year per student and guess what they have to show for it? Some of the lowest reading and math scores in the country.

Bush’s voucher program only cost $7,500 dollars per student per year and they receive a quality education. So why would any reasonable person deny a child the best education possible at half the price? Because, the idea is to keep these kids stupid.

When you don’t have a high school education and you can’t read good you have very few job prospects. When you have few job prospects who do you turn to? Obviously, you turn to the government for assistance, and the smiling democrats are more than happy to give you just enough to keep you alive, but not enough to improve your situation.

Since you now depend on the government (democrats) to eat, who do you think you’re going vote for when the next election comes around? I’m thinking probably democrats.

Democrats claim to want to end poverty, but an end to poverty would mean an end to the democratic party.

By ending the school voucher program democrats have shown their true colors to the American people.

porkulus House Democrats Propose New Porky $410 Billion Dollar Spending Bill

Everything that was cut from the egregious $787 billion dollar porkulus bill last week was shoved into a brand new spending bill proposed today by house democrats. Nancy Pelosi proposed a new $410 billion dollar bill today allegedly to keep the government running until the end of the fiscal year. Of course, it’s really just $410 billion in pork that didn’t make into the stimulus bill. According to the AP, the bill contains “thousands of earmarks” which have yet to be totaled. Here we go again.
