Video: Jeb Bush Rips Charlie Crist

March 1, 2010 · Filed Under Conservatives, Politics, Video · 2 Comments

This is good. Jeb Bush tries to resist criticizing Charlie Crist, but just can’t do it. Crist’s support of the phony stimulus is just too egregious. I couldn’t agree more.

Fla. Governor Endorse’s McCain

January 28, 2008 · Filed Under Politics, Republicans · Comment

Rudy Giuliani is facing yet another serious setback in Florida as the state’s intensely popular Governer, Charlie Crist, has decided to endorse John McCain.

Giuliani had allegedly been courting Crist for more than a year, hoping the Governor’s endorsement would boost his chances of winning Florida. Rudy’s campaign strategy has made Florida a “must win” state if he is to have any chance of getting the Republican nomination.

Crist’s move comes a day after Florida Sen. Mel Martinez gave his nod to McCain and promised to vigorously campaign on his behalf in the final days of the campaign. Officials said Martinez had been lobbying Crist over the past 24 hours to side with McCain.

It’s unclear what effect the two endorsements will have on McCain’s candidacy, but it certainly can’t hurt.

Clinton Breaks Pledge, Campaigns In Florida

hillary florida Clinton Breaks Pledge, Campaigns In Florida

From the AP:

Stung by her lopsided loss to Barack Obama in South Carolina, Hillary Rodham Clinton is trying to shift her momentum in Florida – even though its Democratic primary won’t count for much.

Like her rivals, Clinton has agreed to a pledge imposed by national party leaders not to publicly campaign in the state. But after South Carolina, Clinton was skating up against the edge of that agreement and trying to lend some credibility to the outcome Tuesday.

She arrived in Florida on Sunday for two events – both closed fundraisers, in keeping with the pledge not to campaign. She clearly winked at that pledge with her arrival, joking about the warm weather and positioning herself so photographers had a palm tree for a backdrop.

Yet another example of the Clinton’s willingness to do anything to win?
