Glenn Beck has had enough of the lies and smears directed at the US Chamber of Commerce. He fought back on his radio program today calling for the largest day of fundraising ever. The Chamber says due to extremely high volume of traffic you may have to go to a different site to donate.

Here at THJ we absolutely LOVE Rep. Michelle Bachmann. She’s one of only a handful of people who are in Washington for the right reasons. So, I am very happy to report that Bachmann raised a massive $5.4 million last quarter. That’s more than any congressional candidate in the history of Minnesota has ever raised for an entire election cycle. As icing on the cake, Bachmann is ahead in the polls by a comfortable 9 points.

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul’s supporters raised over $6 million Sunday to boost the 10-term Texas congressman’s campaign for the White House.

Called a “Money Bomb,” the goal was to raise as much money as possible on the Internet in one day. The campaign’s previous fundraiser brought in $4.2 million.

The “Paulnuts” are definitely a loyal bunch! The amount of money he’s been able to raise has been undoubtedly impressive. I would have to give them a solid A for effort, but Ron Paul is still NEVER EVER going to President.

Ron Paul supporters, they’re at it again. Hoping to detonate what they call a “money bomb,” the supporters started fundraising at midnight Saturday and have already raised $2 million as of about 10:30 a.m. today, more than at this point on Nov. 5, according to figures they posted online. They hope to collect a total of $10 million by midnight Sunday.

They’re seizing on the 234th aniversary of the Boston Tea Party and converging on the city to rally.

They plan on gathering on the State House steps at 1 p.m. and parading down to Faneuil Hall, where they will listen to speeches in tune with Paul’s libertarian platform. Speakers will include the Republican presidential candidate’s son, Dr. Rand Paul, an eye surgeon, and Carla Howell, the libertarian who ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2002.

Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul, aided by an extraordinary outpouring of Internet support Monday, hauled in more than $4.2 million in nearly 24 hours. Paul, the Texas congressman with a libertarian tilt and an out-of-Iraq pitch, entered heady fundraising territory with a surge of Web-based giving tied to the commemoration of Guy Fawkes Day.

Fawkes was a British mercenary who failed in his attempt to kill King James I on Nov. 5, 1605. He also was the model for the protagonist in the movie “V for Vendetta.” Paul backers motivated donors on the Internet with mashed-up clips of the film on the online video site YouTube as well as the Guy Fawkes Day refrain: “Remember, remember the 5th of November.”

More than a third of the top fundraisers who helped elect George W. Bush president remain on the sidelines in 2008, contributing to a gaping financial disparity between the GOP candidates and their Democratic counterparts.

Scores of Bush Pioneers and Rangers are not working for any Republican candidate, citing discontent with the war in Iraq, anger at the performance of Republicans in Congress and a general lack of enthusiasm. More than two dozen have actually made contributions to Democrats.
