Democrats Ready To Use Reconciliation To Pass ObamaCare
The Democrats led by corrupt Charlie Rangel have been skulking around behind the scenes laying the groundwork for using reconciliation to pass ObamaCare if need be. Michelle has the gory details.
Latino Congressman Blasts Obama For Cutting Illegals Out Of Health Plan
It really is amazing the extent to which the left will play racial politics at every turn. It’s even more amazing how brazen some members of Congress are in supporting illegal aliens.
Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat from Illinois ripped into President Obama today over his decision to add citizenship provisions to his health care plan. The new enforcement measures would prevent illegal aliens from accessing whatever new health care bill eventually becomes law.
It was a lack of citizenship verification that prompted Rep. Joe Wilson to yell “You Lie” during Obama’s speech to Congress the other day. Obama said in his speech that illegals would not be covered, yet no citizenship verification was included in any of the health care bills.
Faced with the fact that Wilson was right when he said Obama was lying, the White House over the weekend added the verification provisions.
Gutierrez, The Congressional Hispanic Caucus, and others are outraged that illegals are being cut out:
The criticism was leveled in Spanish by Rep. Luis Gutierrez, a Democrat from Illinois who was the first Latino member of Congress to endorse Barack Obama for president.
Referring to the Obama administration, Gutierrez said: "Those who should be our friends, our allies, are more and more giving Rep. (Joe) Wilson, R-S.C., exactly what he wants to continue with this prejudice against our community."
Gutierrez, who made his remarks in Washington, D.C., while participating in a panel discussion on immigration reform sponsored by the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute, was incensed by the Obama administration’s announcement over the weekend that it was going to bar undocumented workers from participating in the health insurance exchange.
…After lamenting Wilson’s outburst on the House floor, Gutierrez ripped the president for giving into the South Carolina congressman.
"What is the administration’s answer?" asked Gutierrez. "To give him exactly what he said from this hatred. Because now, the administration has told us that if we’re going to have reform of our health care system … all those that go to the private sector in order to get their health care, that they will verify them. They will verify Social Security; they will verify their status in the United States of America."
"So, and remember, we’re not talking about government health care, we’re talking about everybody is going to be required to get health care insurance," said Gutierrez. "And so as we go to this big store, right, where everybody is required. And this exchange, the health care exchange, where if you don’t have health care you are required to go purchase it. When you go and attempt to purchase it, what does the administration say? The administration says, ‘You will have to prove that you are legally in the United States and have a Social Security number and a right to that.’"
I just don’t get why so many members of Congress are outraged that people with no right to be here aren’t being covered. Why should someone who’s in this country illegally have access to everything legal residents do?
Why is it “hate” and “prejudice” to only allow legal citizens to participate? This would not even be a debate in any other country. We have the only country on earth with borders that are meaningless to a significant portion of the governing body.
Countries have borders for a reason. Borders are meant to be enforced. I could care less how many Hispanics, Asians, Indians, etc. come to this country. All I ask is that they use the front door and enter legally. Do that, and you can have all the health care you want.

Video: Rep. Tim Bishop Tries To Stack Town Hall With Unions — But It Backfires
This is a beautiful thing. Rep. Tim Bishop who represents New York’s 1st congressional district bussed in 3 loads of union thugs to stack his town hall.
This didn’t sit well with the grassroots folks who showed up. When the union boss said he didn’t even live in the district — the crowd went wild. The union thugs were run out of the joint.
The democrats can bus in all the phony Obamacare drones they want, but the genuine grassroots passion will not be silenced. Real passion beats phony passion no matter what.
Nice try, Bishop.
The union thugs have a huge financial interest in seeing Obamacare pass even if it kills the rest of us. So screw them.

I don’t blame Glenn at all for this. It’s so frustrating trying to talk to Kool-Aid drinking drones who think they’re informed because they watched a dumbass Michael Moore movie.
Anybody with an ounce of grey matter between their ears can use the Internet to research what the realities are of government run health care.
I used to be in favor of a government option until I looked into it. It’s a f*cking disaster.
If you’re too lazy to research, then take a look at this 20-minute video from Steven Crowder over at PJTV.
Crowder was raised in Canada but now lives here. He traveled back to Canada to get medical treatment and brought his camera along.
It’s the most revealing documentary I’ve seen about the Canadian health care system. Watch it and experience the joys of free health care.

House Health Care Bill Outlaws Private Insurance
You know how president Obama keeps saying if you’re happy with your health care plan you can keep it? You know how president Obama keeps saying his “public option” is meant to increase competition and exist alongside private insurance? He’s a liar.
This from Investor’s Business Daily:
Congress: It didn’t take long to run into an "uh-oh" moment when reading the House’s "health care for all Americans" bill. Right there on Page 16 is a provision making individual private medical insurance illegal.
When we first saw the paragraph Tuesday, just after the 1,018-page document was released, we thought we surely must be misreading it. So we sought help from the House Ways and Means Committee.
It turns out we were right: The provision would indeed outlaw individual private coverage. Under the Orwellian header of "Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage," the "Limitation On New Enrollment" section of the bill clearly states:
"Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day" of the year the legislation becomes law.
So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won’t be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.
From the beginning, opponents of the public option plan have warned that if the government gets into the business of offering subsidized health insurance coverage, the private insurance market will wither. Drawn by a public option that will be 30% to 40% cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington’s coverage.
Like everything else, this is no surprise. Proponents of ObamaCare have said outright that the “public option” is merely a Trojan horse for eventual single-payer health care.
