Joe Biden and his wife Jill made a surprise appearance on Oprah today and Jill let a little secret slip…
The wife of Vice President-elect Joe Biden let it slip to Oprah Winfrey Monday that her husband had a pick of two jobs in the Obama administration. Jill Biden said President-elect Barack Obama gave Biden the choice of being secretary of state or vice president. The vice president-elect tried to hush his wife as soon as the words came out of her mouth, with a loud “shhh!” that sent the audience into laughter.
Damn, I wonder if Hillary knew she only got her job because Joe didn’t want it. That’s cold.
NY Times: Hillary Clinton To Accept
The NY Times is confirming that Hillary Clinton has decided to accept the secretary of state position. Clinton allegedly came to her decision after additional discussions with Barack Obama about his foreign policy intentions and what her role would be in them.
I think Hillary is a fine choice for secretary of state. She’s a shrewd and calculating politician to be sure, but in the primaries she wasn’t a shrinking violet when it came to national security unlike the president-elect. Obama certainly could have done a lot worse than picking Hillary Clinton. He could have chosen a peacenik buffoon like Bill Richardson which would have been a disaster — so we lucked out.
I’ve been pleasantly surprised by Obama’s pragmatic choices for some of the most important cabinet positions. His decision to keep Gates as Sec. Def. was a fantastic choice.
I’m gonna continue to sleep with one eye open however, as we wait for our untested and unvetted new president to take office. Even though some of his cabinet picks have certainly been a relief, I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. There’s something loony and left-wing just around the corner — I just don’t know what it is yet.

Report: Hillary Clinton To Accept Secretary Of State Position
The Guardian is reporting that Hillary Clinton will accept the Secretary of State position offered by president-elect Obama.
Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration, the Guardian has learned.
I’m a little surprised that Hillary is actually going for it. She’s giving up the opportunity to make an impact on policy for decades to come as a powerful U.S. Senator.
Even though I disagree with her on pretty much everything, I think she’s a fine choice for Secretary of State. She’s certainly competent and well versed on the issues, and has a fine reputation overseas.

Hillary Clinton Mailer Attacks Obama On Guns
Let there be no mistake about it, if you like guns (as I do) then Barack Obama is definitely not your friend. When he was an Illinois State Senator he repeatedly supported legislation to ban all handguns.
So any opportunity to remind people that Barack Obama has a repugnant record on gun rights is always welcome. However, the last person on earth I would have ever thought those reminders would be coming from is Hillary Clinton. Over the last couple of months, Hillary “The Chameleon” Clinton has gone after Obama on his dismal gun rights record and even recalled her fond memories of hunting as a child.
As with many things Sen. Clinton has said throughout this campaign, her sudden love for guns and hunting just doesn’t ring true.
Hillary Clinton has been a vocal supporter of every piece of gun control legislation proposed over the last 15 years. So it’s at the very least humorous that the Clinton campaign has several mailers making the rounds in Indiana that question Obama’s commitment to the 2nd Amendment.

Bill O’Reilly has been trying to get Hillary Clinton to come on “The O’Reilly Factor” for about seven years, and tonight she will finally appear in the No Spin Zone!

As expected the far-left blogs are simmering with rage over Clinton’s appearance on The Factor. They constantly rail on about how Fox News isn’t a “real” news network and Hillary’s appearance only gives them “legitimacy”.
Clearly the left bloggers have been camped out in cyberspace for too long, because more people watch Fox News than all the other cable news networks combined.
What really outrages the left is that Fox News is the only channel that doesn’t constantly shill for Democrats 365 days a year. Fox prefers to offer their audience both sides of a debate as opposed to only the left-wing side.

Clinton Wins Pennsylvania Primary
Despite a huge cash advantage and the media totally in the tank for him, Barack Obama was unable to defeat Hillary Clinton tonight in Pennsylvania.
The former first lady was winning 55 percent of the vote to 45 percent for her rival with 58 percent of the vote counted, and her campaign is touting tonight’s win as a major victory solidifying her ability to stay in the race.
