I mistakenly thought Morgan Freeman was one of the more intelligent guys in Hollywood, but I guess not.

It’s extremely bizarre that Freeman thinks Mitch McConnell’s desire to defeat President Obama is based on his race. I just don’t understand how that connection is made.

Matt Damon can’t just stick with acting. He has to showcase his liberalism a few times a year. Which means he makes a series of ignorant and uninformed statements that other liberals will hear and agree with. By the way, he’s right about his own career. Once you’ve made $100 million job security doesn’t really matter. He really is acting just to act. Everything else he said is idiotic. Teachers do get lazy with tenure. Not all teachers, but many. It’s human nature. Why give a 100% if you can’t be fired? Tenure is stupid. Teachers should constantly be evaluated based on the performance of their students. Also, teachers don’t have a shitty salary when you include the insane healthcare and other benefits they get. They also get summers off. As for long hours, that’s also BS. The number of hours they have to work per day is spelled out explicitly in their union contracts.

Damon is nothing more than a shill for the teachers unions. He’s a hard left, Howard Zinn loving jerk who doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. Having said that, I like his movies.

The world’s biggest hypocrite, Michael Moore, took his calls for Socialism to The Colbert Report. Moore still doesn’t see the hypocrisy of a multi-millionaire decrying multi-millionaires and calling for the government to seize their assets. Why has he not willingly turned over his wealth to the government?

This cracked me up. I was laughing out loud when I read it. There’s no way I could say it better so I’m just going to repost the piece from The Daily Caller in full:

As everyone knows, Charlie Sheen had a wild night earlier this week (though really, it was just Charlie being Charlie) and had to go to the hospital as a result.

Luckily, the crafty staff at TMZ has learned details of what went on and what was said during the first part of that evening:

‘Sources connected to Charlie tell us … the actor brought his realtor and some of his XXX lady friends to dinner with his neighbor George Santo Pietro — Vanna White’s ex-husband.’

During the dinner, Charlie purportedly drank quite a bit and then agreed to rent out Pietro’s estate for several months while George is in Thailand (recruiting more “actresses” for Charlie, perhaps?).  While Sheen already occupies quite a large mansion, he explained that he’d like to start a “porn family,” and thus needs another home where all of his lady/actress friends can live.

Let that sink in for a moment.

CBS pays Sheen so much money ($825K for every half-hour episode) that he has dreamed a dream of having a home where porn stars, his massive stash of cocaine, and pretty much whatever else he feels like can live in harmony and in anticipation of his next visit.

Is he insane, or brilliant?

As sick as Charlie obviously is, as a man I can’t help but have just a touch of twisted admiration for him. First off, he’s still alive. Sheen has been snorting blow, banging hookers, trannies, and porn stars for a good 20 years. I don’t care who you are, that’s quite a stretch. Better men than him wound up six feet under in a fraction of that time.

Secondly, Charlie Sheen lives in an alternate universe. What most would consider merely a “fantasy,” Sheen can actually make happen. If he decides one evening (after a 3-day coke bender) that he’d like to have a castle in Thailand filled with porn stars and Lady Boys, that’s exactly what he’ll get.

Sheen lives in a world where the only limit to his hedonistic lifestyle is death.

A full blown debate has broken out over whether or not Ricky Gervais was too mean last night when he hosted the Golden Globes.

His rhetoric was undoubtedly harsh. I thought the crack about Robert Downey Jr. was pretty insulting. That said, I didn’t have any tears of sympathy to waste on a room full of pampered millionaires with fragile egos.

Ricky’s problem last night wasn’t that he was too mean, it’s that he wasn’t very funny. It’s a problem Ricky seems to have anywhere he opens his mouth.

If you look up “overrated” in the dictionary, you’ll likely find a glossy picture of Ricky Gervais there.

When Ricky takes a break from being unfunny on stage he likes to make the talk show rounds where he’s even less funny. He usually espouses typical left wing views and brags about his Atheism. He doesn’t seem to realize we’ve seen the Atheist left winger shtick a thousand times before. It’s a tired cliche. Nobody except perhaps Bill Maher is impressed.

It’s time to be honest about this once and for all. Ricky Gervais sucks as a comedian. I’m told he’s quite popular back in Britain. I’m sure they would love to have him back. It’s time for him to go home.

This is what happens to liberals when they stay inside the lefty Hollywood bubble too long without coming up for air. They lose touch with reality and don’t realize when they’re acting like an ass.

Ben Affleck was on NPR this morning to flog his new movie. He started talking about evil corporations and how immoral it is for CEO’s to make “200 times” the average worker.

…The banks shouldn’t — people shouldn’t make such a giant profit off just moving money back and forth. And CEOs’ pay shouldn’t be 200 times the average worker. It used to be nine times.

At $10 million per movie, I’d say Ben makes quite a bit more than the average worker himself. If he was truly a patriot he would only keep $200,000 per year and give the rest to charity. 200K is the amount Barack Obama decided constitutes rich.

$10 million per movie is greedy, immoral, and bourgeoisie. I’m calling on the government to levy a tax on Hollywood. It’s time rich, pompous actors paid their fair share. It’s outrageous for actors like Ben Affleck to have 2, 3, or even 4 mansions while poor blacks and Latinos in South Central, Los Angeles can barely put food on the table.
