Lee is an honest liberal whose primary motivation is seeking the truth, even when it’s uncomfortable for folks on his side of the aisle. That’s why he decided to team up with Andrew Breitbart and investigate the Pigford scandal. Lee has the kind of integrity that is in short supply these days, particularly on the left.

He announced on his website this morning that he will no longer write for The Huffington Post in light of their treatment of Breitbart.

I’ll keep this short. As I wrote this morning, writing for the Huffington Post has been one of the great joys of my life for the past few years and I’ve been proud to be associated with them.

But as a writer, this latest move by The Huffington Post of banning Andrew Breitbart from their front page (because of comments he made to a different website) is both unprecedented, arbitrary and deeply offensive to the intellectual openness that Arianna Huffington has purported to believe in.

He goes on to tell a very revealing anecdote:

One very loathsome aspect of this story is something that Huffington Post editor Roy Sekoff told me in a long phone call about Andrew Breitbart several months ago. Roy knows and worked with Andrew and when the issue of Andrew Breitbart being a racist came up, Roy told me “No, of course Andrew isn’t a racist.”

Roy went on to say that while both he and Arianna Huffington knew that the charges of racism being hurled at Andrew weren’t true based on their years of personal dealings with him that they were in a ‘bad position’ to say anything about it.

That’s called cowardice and it’s repugnant. That’s the problem with the totalitarian left. They’re sheeple. They march in lock-step and every person is terrified of being seen as different or not part of the herd. Whether or not what the herd believes is true or accurate is not as important as staying in the herd.

Anyway, hat tip to Lee Stranahan for being a such a class act.

HuffPo Caves To Radical Left, Breitbart Banished From Front Page

Conservatives

Media

andrew breitbart

color of change

huffington post

totalitarian left

van jones

It was almost inevitable that this would happen. Anywhere Andrew Breitbart goes a small group of radical leftists is sure to follow. They keep nipping at his heels in the hopes of drawing some blood. Every once in a while they succeed. They managed to get him kicked off an ABC News panel on election night, and as of today succeeded in getting him taken off the front page of The Huffington Post. The HuffPo thing is pretty amusing. As if it’s some great honor for Andrew to have his column published on the front of The Huffington Post. But no matter, the totalitarian left can’t stand opposing points of view. Anyone who doesn’t agree with their Commie Pinko agenda has to be muzzled.

The same crew that is spearheading an advertiser boycott of Glenn Beck’s television show is also targeting Breitbart. I’m of course speaking of Communist Van Jones and his “Color Of Change” organization. Ironically, their logo happens to be bright red. Coincidence I’m sure.

They’re a professional group of agitators, rabble-rousers, and malcontents. They intimidate and bully people to get their way. Color of Change uses many of the same techniques hard left unions like SEIU and the AFL-CIO are fond of.

Anyway, Color of Change went to work on the editorial staff of The Huffington Post as soon as Andrew Breitbart was allowed to start publishing there. They were hoping to get Breitbart booted from the site entirely, but only succeeded in getting him banished from the front page. Andrew is no doubt sobbing uncontrollably in a corner somewhere over the prospect of no longer being on the front of HuffPo.

Here’s the statement from HuffPo via Dana Loesch over at Big Journalism via Conurls:

The Huffington Post is committed to fostering a lively and often provocative debate about the issues of the day and encourages a wide range of voices from all perspectives to participate. Andrew Brietbart’s ad hominem attack on Van Jones in The Daily Caller — right down to calling him a “commie punk” and “a cop killer-supporting, racist, demagogic freak” — violates the tenets of debate and civil discourse we have strived for since the day we launched. As a result, we will no longer feature his posts on the front page.

He is welcome to continue publishing his work on HuffPost provided it adheres to our editorial guidelines, as the two posts he published on HuffPost did — guidelines that include a strict prohibition on ad hominem attacks. Our decision today recognizes that placing posts on the front page is an editorial call that elevates some posts over others, and is an indication of how seriously we take these judgment calls.

How can he violate their tenets of debate when his alleged “ad hominem” attacks occurred on his own website at another time? Moreover, his description of Van Jones was entirely accurate. In fact, he was being kind with that description. Van Jones is a piece of sh*t. Everyone who works for him and with him is a piece of sh*t.

As Dana rightly points out, HuffPo at least showed a little spine by not booting him off the site completely. The liberal media is looking for any way possible to damage Bush’s book tour or in some way sabotage his book sales. The former president’s image is being rehabilitated faster than expected due to Obama’s shitty presidency. For the left, this simply cannot stand.

Which is where loathsome HuffPo “reporter” Ryan Grim comes in. He’s meticulously dissecting every page of Bush’s book “Decision Points” and documenting quotes that were supposedly lifted from other books.

Grim contends that Bush didn’t really write the book or do you any of the research himself. Can you image that? Bush not doing the research himself! That’s a literary outrage!

If Grim really thinks ex-presidents dig around dusty archives doing all the research for their memoirs he’s more than just an asshole — he’s a f*cking idiot.

Bush, on his book tour, makes much of the fact that he largely wrote the book himself, guffawing that critics who suspected he didn’t know how to read are now getting a comeuppance. Not only does Bush know how to read, it turns out, he knows how to Google, too. Or his assistant does. Bush notes in his acknowledgments that "[m]uch of the research for this book was conducted by the brilliant and tireless Peter Rough. Peter spent the past 18 months digging through archives, searching the internet[s], and sifting through reams of paper." Bush also collaborated on the book with his former speechwriter, Christopher Michel.

Yeah, I’m sure Bill Clinton was crawling around on his hands and knees going through archives to write his 600+ page tome.

These libs are so damn desperate. It’s hilarious! Bush is going to have a worldwide bestseller and it’s driving them batshit crazy!

Keep it up Ryan Grim, we’re all getting a nice laugh.

HuffPo’s Shannyn Moore Attacks Palin For Having Private Security

Politics

alaska

huffington post

huffpo

left-wing kooks

palin derangement syndrome

sarah palin

shannyn moore

Huffington Post writer Shannyn Moore has a new hit piece up about Sarah Palin. She thinks Palin is a hypocrite for supporting gun rights, but then hiring private security to pat people down before they get close to her.

On the public dock, private security patted down private citizens. The Fourth Amendment protects citizens from unreasonable search and seizure from their government. Private security searching private citizens in a public place, doesn’t fall under that category. It’s a bit more hinky.

Whether it was TLC or the Palins who contracted security, under what authority did they operate in a public location? Were they looking for weapons? Well, now there’s a Second Amendment issue.

This is Alaska, we carry guns. You can open-carry or acquire a concealed weapons permit from the state. If you are a law abiding citizen, you don’t even need a permit. Sarah Palin recently endorsed Alaska Tea Party Candidate Joe Miller for US Senate. His supporters carried assault rifles in last month’s Golden Days Parade in Fairbanks. If weapons are good enough for a public parade, weapons should be fine at a public dock.

This is really too absurd to bother refuting point by point, but I just thought people should see what passes as lucid thoughts on the left.

The HuffPo’s Andy Ostroy Is An Ass Hat

Media

U.S. News

andy ostroy

andy ostroy fox hater

fox haters

Fox News

huffington post

Liberals

obama healthcare speech

When I watched President Obama’s big speech on health care the other night I was watching it on Fox News — or so I thought. According to The Huffington Post’s Andy Ostroy, Fox News didn’t air the Obama speech.

So President Barack Obama on Wednesday night gave the most important speech of his presidency on an issue, health-care reform, which has taken center-stage in American politics over the past several months. Every single major network and cable-tv news network carried the prime-time address live…except the self-proclaimed Fair and Balanced Fox News.

How better to continue dumbing-down your audience than to censor what they see and hear that just might spoil their partisan delusion. Why give them another side of an issue? Why expose them to a radical/socialist/communist/fascist/terrorist like Obama, right? (can you actually be all of those things at the same time, as he’s been accused?) Wouldn’t the fair and balanced thing to do be to simply, well, be fair and balanced? To let your viewers see the speech and make up their own minds? Nah, that would spoil the fun and prevent despicable blatant liars like Fox’s Sean Hannity from deceiving its audience with its decidedly unfair and unbalanced reporting.

For example, on his program after Obama’s speech, Hannity, during an interview with Republican pollster/analyst Frank Luntz, said that Obama"said tonight that insurance company executives are bad people!" " But if Fox’s viewers had actually seen the speech, they’d know what the president actually said: "Insurance executives don’t treat their customers badly because they’re bad people; they do it because it’s profitable."

Like most Fox haters, Ostroy has revealed through his ignorant writing that he doesn’t watch Fox News. He’s most likely never watched Fox News.

Fox News carried the speech live while Fox broadcasting did not. It was so awful that it was pulled from the site just minutes after Free Republic wrote about it.

Luckily, Free Republic captured the despicable piece before it disappeared:

Palin Will Run in ’12 on More Retardation Platform

In Sarah Palin’s resignation announcement she complained about the treatment of her son Trig who always teaches her life lessons. She said that the "world needs more Trigs, not fewer." That’s a presidential campaign promise we can all get behind. She will be the first politician to actually try to increase the population of retarded people. To me, it’s kinda like saying the world needs more cancer patients because they teach us such personal lessons.

Her first act as President: To introduce a Pre-K lunch buffet that includes lead paint chips. Sort of a Large HEAD-START Program.

She will then encourage women to hold off on pregnancies until their 40′s just to mix up some chromosomes.

She now is in favor of abortion only in case of diploid birth.

Her policies will increase jobs because Wal-Mart is building new stores each day and someone has to be the greeter.

This will lead to smaller government because fewer Americans will have the cognitive ability to hold a government job.

Look, she says she’s resigning as governor because people are making attacks on her and Trig. If she ever did become president, all Osama bin Laden would have to do to defeat the United States is Photoshop a picture of Trig and she’d surrender the country that night. As she said, "That’s not politics as usual." It isn’t. Politicians don’t usually quit for so stupid of reasons.

Nelson’s HuffPo bio: Erik Nelson has written for several comedy websites and published short fiction while living in the deep South. He has studied the local culture of his Red State and feels confident that they have accepted him as one of their own. Big mistake.

Join him behind enemy lines, deep in the Red Zone. It’s great! It’s all fantastic, and I’m thrilled! Really. I do mean it. But something seems to be escaping our attention amidst the exaltation. In spite of the wars, the lies, the torture, the stacking of the courts, and the rollbacks to civil liberties; in spite of the religious fundamentalism, the fanaticism, and the utter disdain toward the population that’s been expressed; in spite of the Katrina fiasco, the wire tapping, and the raping and pillaging of our economy for corporate gain (not to mention the ridiculousness and horrendous idiocy of the Republican campaign, including the Palin monstrosity) 56 million, 378 thousand, 316 Americans still voted for the other side.

To humanize that just a bit, that means that 56,378,316 individuals waited in line just as long as you did, and worked just as hard as anyone else, to try to make sure that Barack Obama would not become president of the United States. I don’t know about you, but that scares the shit out of me.

That is precisely the way the radical left looks at the world. They want a uniformity of thought which is why they try to silence any opposing viewpoints. They can’t understand why everyone doesn’t share their radical left-wing view of the world.

Evan goes on to write:

…if you’ve got some money stashed away in these economically stormy days, if you’ve got some major purchases anywhere on your horizon, time them out for the first ninety days of the new administration. Need a washer/dryer or an automobile? Thinking of buying a new home? Want to get back into the stock market? Hold off ’till after January 20th, and let the numbers show sudden economic improvement during the first three months of a new Democratic majority. Because I’ve got a sneaking suspicion that those 56,378,316 misguided souls aren’t the most sophisticated sailors on the sea.

I’m not suggesting we’d be successfully addressing any of the serious issues that need to be sorted out. But I am thinking that, if they’re crass enough, and easily hoodwinked enough, to have voted Republican after the last eight years, we might as well do a little psychological manipulation of our own. We might not be able to win their hearts and minds, or erase whatever bigotry led them to vote as they did. But we should be able to outwit them. Let ‘em read a few positive economic headlines just as they’re fearing the wrath of God is about to drop down upon us. Let ‘em think that, even if the “Godless,” “unreal” Americans have prevailed, it might be good for their pocketbooks. And then, maybe then, they might climb aboard the Peace Train.

I wish Evan’s incredibly cynical and misguided views were some kind of anomaly, but they’re not. The idea that anyone who voted against Obama is either stupid, racist, or both is shared by a large segment of the left.

The “liberal” party that is supposed to be all about tolerance and acceptance is actually the least tolerant among us. If you don’t vote like them and think like them, they don’t wanna have anything to do with you.

Which is why I think many well intentioned Americans who voted for Obama are gonna live to regret that decision. The luntatics have been let out of the asylum.

-Chris Jones

The Most Paranoid Piece Of Lunacy Ever Written

Politics

far left loons

huffington post

insane article

naomi wolf

palin police state

rove cheney cabal

the battle plan

If you’ve ever wondered what crazy looks like then you’re in for a real treat. Extreme far left zealot Naomi Wolf has written the most insane and delusional column ever written for The Huffington Post — or pretty much anywhere else for that matter.

Wolf actually believes that Sarah Palin is part of a grand conspiracy to take over the U.S. government and turn America into a ‘police state’. She thinks McCain only has 2-4 years left and he’s only meant to be the ‘figure head’ until he croaks and Palin takes over. She cites ‘reputable dermatologists’ as her source for McCain’s impending demise. Palin will also be a figure head who really answers to Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Halliburton, and KBR, according to Wolf. If you think I’m exaggerating please read the paragraph below in her own words.

What’s the plan? It is this. McCain doesn’t matter. Reputable dermatologists are discussing the fact that in simply actuarial terms, John McCain has a virulent and life-threatening form of skin cancer. It is the elephant in the room, but we must discuss the health of the candidates: doctors put survival rates for someone his age at two to four years. I believe the Rove-Cheney cabal is using Sarah Palin as a stalking horse, an Evita figure, to put a popular, populist face on the coming police state and be the talk show hostess for the end of elections as we know them. If McCain-Palin get in, this will be the last true American election. She will be working for Halliburton, KBR, Rove and Cheney into the foreseeable future — for a decade perhaps — a puppet “president” for the same people who have plundered our treasure, are now holding the US economy hostage and who murdered four thousand brave young men and women in a way of choice and lies.

How about that? There’s crazy and then there’s crazy and I think Naomi Wolf has completely lost her mind. She may well be a danger to herself and others at this point. But wait, it gets much better.

Wolf also asserts that another part of the grand conspiracy is to eventually have Iraqi troops patrolling the streets of America. This she claims is part of ‘Rove and Cheney’s fantasy’ which if Barack Obama is not elected will come true very soon.

Under the coming Palin-Rove police state, you will witness the plans now underway to bring Iraqi troops to patrol the streets of our nation. This is not McCain’s fantasy: it is Rove’s and Cheney’s.

Can you believe it?? I had to re-read that a couple of times to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Iraqi troops patrolling our streets? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

I don’t have the time nor the inclination to cite any more of this ridiculous article, but I recommend everyone read it in its entirety and then read the comments people have left. A sane and rational person would read the article and dismiss it out of hand as totally nuts — but not on The Huffington Post. Hundreds and hundreds of people completely believe every word of the article which is a good indicator of just how f*cking insane people on the far left actually are.

I’ve read some articles I consider pretty ‘far out there’ on HuffPo, but this one takes the cake. I’m not trying to be insulting when I say that Naomi Wolf really may have a serious psychological condition. Possibly the early stages of Schizophrenia. When someone suffers paranoid delusions as Naomi clearly does, they only get worse over time.

Here’s Wikipedia’s definition of Schizophrenia:

Schizophrenia (pronounced /ˌskɪtsəˈfriːniə/), from the Greek roots schizein (σχίζειν, “to split”) and phrēn, phren- (φρήν, φρεν-, “mind”) is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorderperception or expression of reality. It most commonly manifests as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions or disorganized speech and thinking in the context of significant social or occupational dysfunction. Onset of symptoms typically occurs in young adulthood,[1] with approximately 0.4–0.6%[2][3] of the population affected.

Sounds pretty much like what Naomi is experiencing and it’s only going to get worse without treatment.

This should be a big wake up call to anyone who’s not crazy. America cannot afford to have the far-left loons at HuffPo anywhere near the government. Again, look at the comments after the article. The number of people who actually believer her is the truly scary part.

-Chris Jones
