Rapper Nas Leads Protest Of Fox News, Calls Network Racist

nas_nigger Rapper Nas Leads Protest Of Fox News, Calls Network Racist

Rapper Nas led a rather humorous protest in front of Fox News headquarters today. TV Newser among others was there to get in on the action.

The hip-hop star joined about 50 protesters, (less than another anti-FNC protest in 2004) from two organizations: ColorofChange.org and MoveOn.org who called on the network to, “stop its racist smears against the Obamas and other Black Americans.”

The protesters stood quietly for about an hour until Nas appeared, most holding pre-made or hand-made signs. Many Fox News employees came to check out the scene, including Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld and some of the show’s staff. “This is quite possibly the most boring protest ever,” he told us.

But that was before Nas arrived. The hip-hop star emerged from an SUV to a flutter of cameras, made his way to the front of the protesters and gave a short speech, before heading back into the SUV.

Nas’s charge of racism seems oddly timed considering he’s currently promoting his new album called “Nigger.” I’m guessing he missed the irony of the album title as well as his unique fashion choices recently.

Hypocrisy: Is The U.S. Helping The Saudis Go Nuclear?

mushroom-clown-ps3-300x199 Hypocrisy: Is The U.S. Helping The Saudis Go Nuclear?

Hot Air is reporting that Condoleezza Rice was in Saudi Arabia last month promising the Saudis that America would help them develop a nuclear infrastructure, build nuclear reactors, and train nuclear engineers. Basically, everything the Iranians are doing that we want them stop doing.

I really hope there is some kind of context that I’m missing here, because this is the kind of thing that really makes America lose credibility. We can’t expect to be taken seriously when we complain that Iran sits on a lake of oil, and therefore has no need to develop nuclear power. Then at the same time start helping the Saudis to develop nuclear technology when they sit on an even bigger lake of oil.

Wright Was Right, Then Wrong Again

April 28, 2008 · Filed Under Hypocrisy, Jeremiah Wright, Opinion, Politics, Race, Racism, Religion · 2 Comments

We are currently enjoying day number two of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright media blitz, and it gets a little worse at every stop.

I watched Rev. Wright on Bill Moyers the other night and was impressed. Keeping in mind that Bill Moyers is a dishonest hack who’s just trying to get Obama elected, I still thought Rev. Wright showed an impressive intellect and made some very good points.

I was even prepared to come in this morning and write what could be perceived as an apology for some of the unfair criticisms I’ve made about Wright. I do think some of the YouTube clips were taken out of context and many in the media have rushed to judgment on the man.

Then Obama’s “crazy uncle” gave the keynote address at yesterday’s NAACP luncheon. It was slightly hysterical, but otherwise a very entertaining speech. The man is about as charismatic as anybody I’ve ever seen.

Then the wheels came flying off the “reconciliation train” so to speak this morning. The good pastor gave a shortened version of the previous day’s speech, this time to The National Press Club and then (much to the chagrin of the Obama campaign I’m sure) he answered questions.

It turns out all those YouTube clips may not have been taken out of context after all. Rev. Wright may just be the anti-American race hustler I thought he was.

His demeanor in front of the press club was arrogant in the extreme. His attitude was dismissive, racist, and dare I say ‘elitist’.

When asked about his comments just 5-days after 9/11 about America’s “chickens coming home to roost” he defended the words.

…“Jesus said do unto others as you would have them do unto you. You cannot do terrorism on other people and expect it never to come back on you. Those are biblical principles, not Jeremiah Wright bombastic, divisive principles.”

When asked if he loves America, he responded:

”I served six years in the military. Does that make me patriotic?” he asked. “How many years did (Vice President Dick) Cheney serve?”

Instead of taking responsibility for his own statements, Rev. Wright accused the media and other critics of “attacking the black church”.

“The most recent attack is on the black church, it is not an attack on Jeremiah Wright, it is an attack on the black church,” Wright said.

When asked about his relationship to Louis Farrakhan he was again unapologetic:

…So what I think about him, as I’ve said on Bill Moyers and it got edited out, how many other African-Americans or European-Americans do you know that can get one million people together on the mall? He is one of the most important voices in the 20th and 21st century. That’s what I think about him.

Probably the most outrageous thing Rev. Wright did was defend his belief that white people created the AIDS virus as an act of genocide against people of color.

I read different things. As I said to my members, if you haven’t read things, then you can’t — based on this Tuskegee experiment and based on what has happened to Africans in this country, I believe our government is capable of doing anything.

In fact, in fact, in fact, one of the — one of the responses to what Saddam Hussein had in terms of biological warfare was a non- question, because all we had to do was check the sales records. We sold him those biological weapons that he was using against his own people.

So any time a government can put together biological warfare to kill people, and then get angry when those people use what we sold them, yes, I believe we are capable.

He also defended his comparison of Roman soldiers who killed Jesus to the U.S. Marine Corps. if you can believe it.

The Roman oppression is the period in which Jesus is born. And comparing imperialism that was going on in Luke, imperialism was going on when Caesar Augustus sent out a decree that the whole world should be taxed. They weren’t in charge of the world. It sounds like some other governments I know.

That, yes, I can compare that. We have troops stationed all over the world, just like Rome had troops stationed all over the world, because we run the world. That notion of imperialism is not the message of the gospel of the prince of peace, nor of God, who loves the world.

He was asked many more questions which you can both read and watch by following the link to the transcript and video.

While Rev. Wright loves to point the finger at so-called “white America” and “rich white people” who run the country, it is he who should be looking inward at the hypocrite and race hustler within himself.

At one point in today’s presentation in response to a question, he said that America is the only country that has refused to “apologize” for slavery and for the injustices done to black people.

He said we can never bridge the divide or begin the healing until we as a nation (white people) apologize. The harsh reality is that most divides have already been bridged, unfortunately pastor Wright never got the memo.

What I mean is that the issues which divided the whites and blacks of Rev. Wright’s generation don’t divide today’s young people. Socio-economic inequalities still exist in some places for sure, but that’s not because of racism. Some areas may still be effected by the racist policies of the past, but white people are not preventing blacks from getting ahead.

People in my generation (18-36) don’t even think about race issues. We’ve moved beyond racial issues of previous generations, but people like Rev. Wright want to keep pulling us backward.

Jeremiah Wright is no different than Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, or Louis Farrakhan. All of them make a living trying to convince black folks that “white devils” are still trying to keep them down. He speaks bitterly of continued black oppression to a congregation that until recently included Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama.

Yet the irony of that completely escapes him.

Wright is a hypocrite, because while giving speeches about “rich white people” he’s building a multi-million dollar mansion in a gated community that is 97% white.

Rev. Wright is an arrogant, racist, bitter, and divisive individual who cares more about hearing himself thunder away on television than about black people.

If he really cared about black people he wouldn’t be sabotaging the chance for the first black man to be elected president.

He knows that his ridiculous and offensive statements are going to hang Obama out to dry, but he doesn’t care.

HYPOCRISY: Tehran Police Chief Arrested During Raid On Brothel

March 13, 2008 · Filed Under Hypocrisy, Iran, Islam, Islamic Rage, Prostitution, World News · Comment

If you think the Eliot Spitzer affair is a scandal, your missing out on a sweet story of Islamic hypocrisy oozing out of Iran.

Tehran’s Chief of Police who recently led a crackdown on women for not following the Islamic dress code and eroding public morality was arrested during a raid on a brothel.

General Reza Zarhei, Tehran’s chief of police and a member of the Revolutionary Guard, has resigned under a cloud of scandal after he was caught and arrested naked, with no fewer than six nude women, during a government raid on a brothel.

but wait, it gets worse…

According to the reports on Farsi websites, during preliminary interrogations of the six women, when asked why they were naked, their response was “General Zarhei asked us to do a group prayer. In the nude.”

I wonder what the Prophet Mohammad would think about that? Where’s all the Muslim outrage? I though when someone offended Islam you were supposed to take to the streets and burn cars, etc?

So Danish cartoons are offensive, but being caught in what amounts to a naked prayer orgy is not?

Islam can be so complicated sometimes! The entire Muslim world must come together and make a list of what does and does not constitute a murderous outrage, because some Muslims are surely confused by this.

Let’s do a brief recap:

Naked prayer orgies = GOOD

Danish cartoons = BAD

Hypocrisy: Democrats Plan a Shorter Workweek

October 27, 2007 · Filed Under Congress, Democrats, Hypocrisy, Politics, U.S. News · Comment

Shortly after winning a majority last year, Democrats triumphantly declared that they would put Congress back to work, promising an “end to the two-day workweek.”

However, it appears that hypocrisy may be in the air as the Democrats are now planning a lighter schedule when the 110th Congress begins its second year in mid-January.

The House majority leader, Representative Steny H. Hoyer of Maryland, told fellow Democrats this week that the House would not be in session next year on Fridays, except in June for work on appropriations bills.

Edwards Campaign Demands Student Journalist Pull Story

A UNC-Chapel Hill journalism professor said John Edwards’ presidential campaign tried to kill a student’s video story about his campaign headquarters.

Associate Professor C.A. Tuggle said two top staffers from the Edwards campaign demanded that the school drop the segment from the student-run television program “Carolina Week.” They also asked to have the video removed from the YouTube Web site.

Tuggle said they threatened to cut off access to Edwards for UNC student reporters and other student groups if the piece aired.

I guess “Mr. Poverty” only likes free speech if it’s not critical of him.

Blackwater: Fallujah Deaths Unavoidable

d22f3f619ff9bc612e2f9dcd6bb20360 Blackwater: Fallujah Deaths Unavoidable

Heavier guns and sturdier trucks would not have saved a team of Blackwater USA guards brutally killed in March 2004 after being lured by corrupt Iraqi forces into a well-planned ambush, the embattled private security contractor contends in a report to Congress.

This conclusion sharply contradicts the findings of a congressional investigation led by House Democrats and a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the families of the four slain guards. Blackwater is cast in both as an incompetent, penny-pinching outfit that sent an undermanned and poorly equipped detail through Fallujah, a known insurgent stronghold 40 miles west of Baghdad.

While calling the deaths “a tragic event,” Blackwater says the incident was unavoidable and the guards—former Navy SEALs and Army Rangers—understood the risks of their mission and could have refused to go.

While Blackwater may not be perfect, they’re still the best Private Military Contractor in the world. Any clear thinking person can see that the vilification of Blackwater is 100% pure Washington politics.

Blackwater was hired to keep Diplomats alive as they go about their business in Iraq. To this day not a single Diplomat has been injured or killed while under the protection of Blackwater. Ironically, many of the Democrats who call Blackwater contractors “cowboys” and “criminals” neglected to mention those feelings while they were being guarded by them.

There’s no doubt that civilians have been killed in Iraq by both Blackwater and the U.S. military. As tragic as that is, Iraq is a war zone and that sometimes happens in war zones. While the safety of Iraqi civilians is important, the safety of our personnel is even more important. I don’t expect a Blackwater contractor to wait until he gets shot, before shooting back.

The media coverage of Blackwater has been grossly inaccurate and completely ridiculous. Smearing Blackwater is just another way for the chicken shit liberals in the media and the Congress to try and damage the Bush administration.

When visiting Iraq in the future, I’m calling on Democrats to stand on their principles and refuse Blackwater protection. To accept protection from a bunch of lawless mercenaries might appear to some as a de facto endorsement of that companies criminal activities.

Sandy “Document Thief” Berger Becomes Hillary Campaign Advisor

Sandy Berger, who stole highly classified terrorism documents from the National Archives, destroyed them and lied to investigators, is now an adviser to presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton. Berger, who was fired from John Kerry’s presidential campaign when the scandal broke in 2004, has assumed a similar role in Clinton’s campaign, even though his security clearance has been suspended until September 2008.

“It shows poor judgment and a lack of regard for Berger’s serious misdeeds,” said law professor Jonathan Adler of Case Western Reserve University, who nonetheless called Clinton “by far the most impressive candidate in the Democratic field.”

He added: “If Senator Clinton becomes the Democratic nominee, at some point she will begin to receive national security briefings that will include sensitive information. At such a point, continuing to keep Berger on board as a key advisor, where he might have access to sensitive material, would be beyond incomprehensible.”

Democrats seem to have a fuzzy memory when it comes to Berger. His actions were so outrageous that it defies belief that he is not sitting in a prison cell for about 15 years.

Berger has admitted stealing documents from the National Archives in advance of the 9/11 Commission hearings in 2003. The documents, written by White House counterterrorism czar Richard Clarke.

Berger stuffed highly classified documents into his pants and socks before spiriting them out of the Archives building in Washington, according to investigators. On one occasion, upon reaching the street, he hid documents under a construction trailer after checking the windows of the Archives and Justice Department buildings to make sure he was not being watched.

He came back later and retrieved the documents, taking them home and cutting them up with scissors.

Berger also lied to the public, telling reporters he made an “honest mistake” by “inadvertently” taking the documents, which he blamed on his own “sloppiness.” Bill Clinton vouched for the explanation for Berger, who served as his national security adviser.

If you remember there was a certain public outrage on the part of liberals when President Bush commuted the prison sentence for Scooter Libby, but an eerie silence when Berger only received probation. Democrats love to expose alleged “cover-ups” on the part of Republicans, but they had one in there own backyard that dwarfs anything the Bush Administration has been accused of.

The Democrats are so steeped in hypocrisy it makes it difficult to keep a straight face when Nancy Pelosi talks about a “culture of corruption.”
