Palin Fires Back At Biden Over Energy

November 2, 2009 · Filed Under Politics · Comment

I’m not going to paraphrase here, because it’s just too good. Here’s Sarah Palin’s latest Facebook post:

Response to Vice President Biden’s Comments Today About My Position On Energy Independence

As the vice president knows, I have always advocated an all-of-the-above approach to American energy independence. Among other things, my alternative energy goal for Alaska sits at 50 percent because Alaska reached more than 20 percent during my term in office. The Obama-Biden administration, on the other hand, recently announced a renewable goal of only 25 percent. However, domestic drilling should remain a top priority in order to meet America’s consumption and security needs.

The vice president’s extreme opposition to domestic energy development goes all the way back to 1973 when he opposed the Alaska pipeline bill. As Ann Coulter pointed out, “Biden cast one of only five votes against the pipeline that has produced more than 15 billion barrels of oil, supplied nearly 20 percent of this nation’s oil, created tens of thousands of jobs, added hundreds of billions of dollars to the U.S. economy and reduced money transfers to the nation’s enemies by about the same amount.”

This nonsensical opposition to American domestic energy development continues to this day. Apparently the Obama-Biden administration only approves of offshore drilling in Brazil, where it will provide security and jobs for Brazilians. This election is about American security and American jobs.

There’s one way to tell Vice President Biden that we’re tired of folks in Washington distorting our message and hampering our nation’s progress: Hoffman, Baby, Hoffman!

Obama And Biden Eat Lunch At Virginia Burger Joint

May 5, 2009 · Filed Under Barack Obama, U.S. News · Comment

I’m the last person in the world who’s interested in tracking the president’s whereabouts minute by minute like the fawning press, but this is just odd.

President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden took a short—but wholly noticeable—motorcade ride from the White House to Virginia and pulled into a small, independent burger joint called Ray’s Hell Burger.

The two leaders went right up to the counter where the meat was being grilled and ordered.

Each fetched cash from his pocket and paid, and then the pair stood like the rest and waited for their number to be called before going to a table.

Not only is it unusual for the president and vice president to be together in public unnecessarily (for obvious reasons), but logistically it’s nuts.

I would imagine about 100 people and about 15+ vehicles accompanied Biden and Obama on this little field trip.

I suspect The White House makes a pretty mean burger, so what’s the real reason for this stunt? Any ideas?

Video: Biden Says America Safer Now Than Under Bush

April 8, 2009 · Filed Under Video, War on Terror · 1 Comment

You almost half to laugh when you hear Joe Biden make such ridiculous claims. He says America was less safe under Bush than at any time since WWII. What a bunch of crap. Bush was one of the most aggressive presidents we’ve ever had in terms of foreign policy.

He did whatever and I mean whatever was necessary to keep us safe even when it was legally suspect.

But we’re actually supposed to believe Joe the clown when he says we’re more safe. More safe now that Obama is rolling back all the war on terror policies that kept this country safe for eight years?

We’ll be safer when Obama releases Gitmo detainees on the streets of America?

We’ll be safer as he stands by and does nothing while North Korea fires rockets and Iran continues its path towards nuclear weapons?

We’re safer now that interrogators can only politely ask terrorists what they’re planning? Obama doesn’t know the first damn thing about national security or protecting this country. He has a rigid set of left-wing beliefs that put world opinion above national security.

Bush didn’t give a damn what the pussy Europeans thought about his policies, he did what he had to do.

I can promise you that no matter what North Korea or Iran does Obama will NEVER and I mean NEVER order any kind of military response.

Short of a direct attack on the homeland Obama will do nothing but send his minions to jawbone at the UN endlessly while threats gather.

At the end of the day, America is going to owe Israel a debt of gratitude for taking action against Iran and stopping their nuclear program.

Biden’s SEIU Pal Arrested For Pickpocketing

March 23, 2009 · Filed Under Uncategorized · Comment

During the presidential campaign, VP Joe Biden was visiting with his union pals during his phony “Walk A Day In My Shoes” publicity stunt.

One of the guys Biden “walked” with was an idiot who sits on the board of the SEIU. His name is Marshall Clemons and he’s a custodian for the Iowa school system.

Biden being the regular guy he is (wink wink) helped Marshall buff floors and change air conditioning filters. However, Marshall has a new pair of shoes Joe should try walking in — county jail slippers.

Marshall Clemons was caught on tape pickpocketing people and was subsequently arrested in possession of several wallets other than his own.

Joe Biden and his wife Jill made a surprise appearance on Oprah today and Jill let a little secret slip…

The wife of Vice President-elect Joe Biden let it slip to Oprah Winfrey Monday that her husband had a pick of two jobs in the Obama administration. Jill Biden said President-elect Barack Obama gave Biden the choice of being secretary of state or vice president. The vice president-elect tried to hush his wife as soon as the words came out of her mouth, with a loud “shhh!” that sent the audience into laughter.

Damn, I wonder if Hillary knew she only got her job because Joe didn’t want it. That’s cold.

Biden To Israel: You’ll Have To Accept A Nuclear Iran

September 1, 2008 · Filed Under Barack Obama · 1 Comment

Here’s a story that should raise eyebrows among those who support Israel, and oddly enough also support Barack Obama. According to Haaretz, Joe Biden told Israeli officials behind closed doors they’re going to have to reconcile themselves with a nuclear Iran if Barack wins the election.

Democratic vice-presidential candidate Joe Biden was quoted Monday as telling senior Israeli officials behind closed doors that the Jewish state will have to reconcile itself to a nuclear Iran.

In the unsourced report, Army Radio also quoted Biden as saying that he opposed “opening a additional military and diplomatic front.”

Army Radio said Israeli officials expressed “amazement” over the remarks attributed to him.

“Israel will have to reconcile itself with the nuclearization of Iran,” Army Radio quoted Biden as telling the unnamed officials.

“It’s doubtful if the economic sanctions will be effective, and I am against opening an additional military and diplomatic front.”

The paper goes on to to revisit Sen. Biden’s public comments last year regarding the Jewish State. He told Shalom TV that he was a Zionist even if he wasn’t a Jew, and that Israel was America’s single greatest ally in the Middle East, etc.

Apparently in an Obama/Biden administration Israel will be a ‘good friend’ — at least long enough to get the Jewish vote.

This will come as a complete shock to many people, but I’m not surprised in the least. Its always amazed me that Jewish Americans tend to vote for Democrats when the Democrats don’t give a rip about Israel. President Bush has been the most pro-Israel President in American history — and rightfully so.

The Democrats would love to cut off military aide to Israel and leave them to fend for themselves, but in order to get elected they pretend to be passionate about supporting Israel. The reality is actually quite different. Most Democrats really view Israel as being more trouble than it’s worth. Many believe that most of America’s problems around the world are a direct result of our friendship with Israel.

While it may be true that some don’t like our close ties with Israel, Republicans could care less about how other countries feel about it. The GOP passionately supports Israel and would do anything to ensure that the Jewish State lives on.

I think the main reason that a lot of Jews vote against there interests by voting for Democrats is because they’ve never been to Israel. American Jews especially the Hollywood types have no idea the horrors that many Israeli families experience at the hands of radical Muslims. They don’t fully grasp the kind of insane bombings and murder that takes place in otherwise quite Jewish neighborhoods by these Islamic thugs.

Conservatives get that about the Jewish people. They understand the threat of Islamic terrorism and radical Islam. They understand what kind of threat a nuclear Iran poses not only to the security of Israel, but to the entire world.

Barack Obama and Joe Biden just don’t get it. They will never be the terror warriors and defenders of Israel that a John McCain/Sarah Palin administration would be.

Emergency Landing For U.S. Senators In Afghanistan

February 21, 2008 · Filed Under U.S. News · Comment

From the AP:

Helicopters carrying three senior U.S. senators made emergency landings Thursday in the mountains of Afghanistan because of a snowstorm.

Sens. John Kerry, Joseph Biden and Chuck Hagel were aboard the aircraft. No one was injured, according a statement from Kerry’s office. The senators and their delegation returned to Bagram Air Base in a motor convoy, and have left for Turkey.

“After several hours, the senators were evacuated by American troops and returned overland to Bagram Air Base, and left for their next scheduled stop in Ankara, Turkey,” the Kerry statement said. “Sen. Kerry thanks the American troops, who were terrific as always and who continue to do an incredible job in Afghanistan.”

The lawmakers were on a trip this week that included stops in India, Turkey and Pakistan, where they observed the elections earlier this week.

Kerry and Biden are Democrats from Massachusetts and Delaware, respectively, and the Republican Hagel is from Nebraska.
