Joe Scarborough’s RINOism makes me want to kick my TV over most of the time. But every once in a while he gets a few good digs in on the left. Today is just such a day. After Mika’s giggle fit at Dick Cheney’s expense yesterday it’s nice to see her choking back outrage over criticism of her Messiah.

Joe Scarborough’s transition to left wing pundit is pretty much complete. This morning he and his “Morning Joe” cronies were advocating for stricter gun control laws. Joe makes the absurd claim that 90% of the American people “want this stopped.” He sites Dick Cheney and Pat Buchanan as examples of conservatives who allegedly want stricter gun control laws.

I have no doubt 90% of the people in Manhattan where Joe lives do indeed want stricter gun control. But here in Texas, I don’t know anyone who wants that. I literally don’t know anyone who wants stricter gun control. In fact, quite a few people I’ve spoken with recently admire Arizona’s gun laws and would like to see them adopted here. The main differences between Arizona and Texas is that in Arizona you don’t need a license to carry a concealed weapon or openly carry one.

Politicians never let a tragedy go by without attempting to piggy back some new gun legislation on it. The tragedy in Arizona could not have been prevented with stricter gun laws. Jared Loughner legally purchased his handgun and passed a federal background check. That’s as good as it gets.

I do favor adding mental health records to a federal background check. If you’ve spent time in the nut house you don’t need a gun. We can agree on that one. But when it comes to limiting magazine size or banning so-called “assault weapons” I’m vehemently opposed.

In the words of the late Charlton Heston, “from my cold, dead hands.”

Joe Scarborough had RINO backstabbing b*tch Nicole Wallace on “Morning Joe” yesterday. They discussed his recent Sarah Palin hit piece in Politico.

Wallace has been behind an ugly whisper campaign against Palin ever since the 2008 election.

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough delivered a blistering and rather ugly screed against Sarah Palin on Politico this morning. He says Republicans need to man up and call out Sarah Palin as being unelectable and basically tell her to get out of the way.

Joe twists some of Palin’s recent comments to suggest that she’s denigrated Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

…Palin can’t stop herself from taking swings at Republican giants. In the past month alone, she has mocked Ronald Reagan’s credentials, dismissed George H.W. and Barbara Bush as arrogant “blue bloods” and blamed George W. Bush for wrecking the economy.

…And now a point of personal privilege. I work hard every day to assume the best of Americans who engage in public service. But I am offended by Palin’s attempt to build herself up by tearing down great men like Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.

To suggest that Palin has taken shots or in any way sought to denigrate Ronald Reagan is laughable. You’d be hard pressed to find another Conservative who touts Ronald Reagan as much as Palin. She mentions Reagan in nearly every speech. She’s a fierce promoter of Reagan and everything he stood for.

When Larry King asked former first Lady Barbara Bush what she thought of Sarah Palin, Bush said she’s a beautiful woman who should stay in Alaska.

In response to Barbara Bush’s jab, Sarah Palin referred to her as a “blue blood.” Joe Scarborough finds that highly offensive. In his Politico column he rips the blue bloods remark and launches into a diatribe about George H.W. Bush’s lengthy and heroic record.

I think Scarborough is off his meds. What does H.W.’s distinguished record have to do with a back and forth between his wife and Palin?

Sarah Palin has never had an unkind word for George H.W. Bush. He’s one of the finest Americans this nation has ever produced. Is Palin not allowed to respond to a jab from Barbara Bush? It wasn’t even tough, it was a good natured jab back.

Joe’s hit piece is a hysterical attempt to destroy Sarah Palin using distortions and outright lies. This shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. Joe is a television conservative. A RINO Republican. He ingratiates himself with the Manhattan liberal elites by bashing people on the right. He’s more than happy to tap dance to MSNBC’s tune as long as he gets to keep his TV show.

Joe Scarborough is David Frum’s long lost brother. They both love to bash the right, they both think they know everything, and they both write books that nobody reads.

I don’t know if Sarah Palin should run for president. I don’t know if Sarah Palin would be a good president. Hell, I don’t know if she could even get elected.

But it shouldn’t be up to phony TV hosts, wives of former presidents, or Republican elites to decide if Sarah Palin runs for president. She has every right to run and the American people will decide if they want to elect her.

Oh geez, here we go again. Since they suspended Olbermann for making donations they had to do the same for Joe Scarborough. Apparently, some new undisclosed donations have come to light courtesy once again of Politico.

Matt Lewis has an interesting piece on Politics Daily about Joe Scarborough. I’ve been extremely tough on Scarborough over the years here on THJ, because I feel like he’s a cocktail conservative. I’ve watched him join in on left-wing narratives about conservatives too many times and it makes me sick.

That said, Matt Lewis makes some valid points about Scarborough. He says Joe has more of a positive impact on conservatism than many of us give him credit for. The fact that he doesn’t hesitate to criticize folks on the right gives him much more credibility when he attacks liberals.

Despite the fact that conservatives now have their own media outlets, like it or not the mainstream media still matter. And as media bias expert Bernard Goldberg has noted, while most reporters have a liberal worldview, most also attempt to report fair and accurately. For this reason, Scarborough serves a vital function, providing "insiders" with an intellectually honest and reliable conservative perspective that might otherwise go unheard.

Unlike many conservative pundits, the liberal media actually respects Scarborough and listens to what he has to say. He’s often outnumbered on his show by 3 or 4 to 1 against liberal pundits and stands his ground — mostly.

I’m willing to concede that Joe Scarborough plays an important role. Even though he sometimes acts like an ass, at least there’s someone on MSNBC espousing conservative views at least occasionally. He’s often the lone voice of sanity on that network.

I don’t like Joe Scarborough. I think he’s a phony and I’ve said it numerous times on this site. However, he does make good points on occasion. In the following clip he notes the double standard “some networks” (meaning his own) have employed regarding Barack Obama’s “shrimp” comment a couple of days ago. It’s a double standard I too mentioned on the day it happened.

Remember when Anthony Weiner went ballistic on the House floor over the 9/11 first responders bill that didn’t pass? Well, now he’s locking horns with Joe Scarborough over the same issue. Riveting television.

Joe Scarborough is probably the biggest fraud and phony on television. He likes to call himself a Conservative and write books for Conservatives, but real Conservatives laugh at him and use his books for coasters.

We Conservatives laugh at Scarborough because he’s just another useful idiot like David Frum and David Brooks. He sold his soul years ago for a place on MSLSD MSNBC and the liberal cocktail circuits in Manhattan and DC.

“Morning Joe” decided to attack Matt Drudge this morning using a favorite weapon of the left — RACISM!!!!

In response to President Obama’s phony “ass kick” line on national television, Drudge posted the headline: OBAMA GOES STREET: SEEKING ‘ASS TO KICK’.

As with everything else, the all white cast over at MSNBC saw “racial overtones” in the headline. That part is no surprise, but what is surprising is that Joe was the one leading the charge.

Watching Joe shamelessly pander to the left-wing zealots at MSNBC and whine about racial overtones is enough to make you lose your lunch. He has so completely sold out that you almost feel sorry for him.

After Chris Wallace interviewed Sarah Palin on “Fox News Sunday” last weekend, Joe Scarborough took to the airwaves on MSLSD and claimed Wallace rolled his eyes after interviewing Palin. Joe said the split second eye roll was Wallace’s way of saying to his friends I know she’s not a serious person.

Chris is now hitting back. He told Megyn Kelly, “Joe Scarborough lives out where the trollies don’t run at night.” Watch the full clip below…

The whole eye roll thing was totally ridiculous. Only a channel that is failing as bad as MSNBC would need to create a phony controversy out of thin air. Scarborough pretends to be a conservative, but he’s a phony and a fraud. He attacks Republicans so he can keep rubbing elbows with the NY liberal elites.
