It’s outrageous that Republicans would stuff that obscene omnibus spending bill with earmarks after everything that happened during the election. It’s disgusting. If Cornyn thinks we won’t throw his out too he’s dreaming.

The NRSC is changing its tune today after a fiery declaration last night that they wouldn’t spend a dime on Christine O’Donnell. Sen. John Cornyn said this morning that the NRSC will absolutely back O’Donnell and even sent her a check for $42,000 — the maximum allowed.

This doesn’t surprise me a bit. Had they really refused to fund O’Donnell it would have been the end of the NRSC as we know it. That said, O’Donnell could win without one dime from the NRSC. The Tea Party along with Palin and DeMint can raise all the doe she’ll need to pull off a victory.

I believe the money issue will take care of itself. What O’Donnell needs to do is focus on the issues.

Texas Sen. John Cornyn, accusing the White House of compiling an "enemies list," has asked President Barack Obama to stop an effort to collect "fishy" information Americans see about a health care overhaul.

Cornyn, who leads the Republicans’ Senate campaign effort, said Wednesday in a letter to Obama that he’s concerned that citizen engagement on the issue could be "chilled." He also expressed alarm that the White House could end up collecting electronic information on its critics.

"I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward e-mails critical of his policies to the White House," Cornyn wrote.

Cornyn makes a great point about the double standard. If Bush had pulled something like this the left would’ve been outraged and compared him to Nixon.
