John Edwards was right. There are two Americas. One with people who are indicted and one with people who are not. Good riddance to this scumbag slip and fall lawyer.

A federal grand jury in Raleigh, N.C., today handed down a six-count indictment against former Sen. John Edwards for allegedly using more than $900,000 in campaign funds to hide his mistress during the 2008 presidential campaign.

The charges, following a two-year investigation, include conspiracy, illegal campaign contributions and making false statements. Edwards is expected to be arraigned on the charges this afternoon. Read the full indictment.

According to the New York Slimes, scumbag John Edwards is about to be indicted by a federal grand jury. Edwards allegedly took millions from his campaign coffers and used it to cover-up his extramarital affair and subsequent love child as his wife was dying of cancer. In short, John Edwards is both a disgraceful politician and a disgraceful human being. I hope he rots in prison.

This is such a satisfying story. The late Elizabeth Edwards is getting much belated revenge on her former husband John Edwards. Her will doesn’t contain a single mention of his name anywhere in the document. She left absolutely everything to her children.

“All of my furniture, furnishings, household goods, jewelry, china, silverware and personal effects and any automobiles owned by me at the time of my death I give and bequeath to my children,” Edwards said in a copy of the document.

John Edwards made millions as a slip and fall lawyer so this won’t hurt him financially at all. But as a symbolic gesture it’s priceless. John Edwards is a scumbag of the highest order. A truly loathsome individual if there ever was one.

Kudos to Elizabeth for kicking John in the teeth from beyond the grave.

Elizabeth Edwards, ex-wife of disgraced Senator John Edwards, passed away this afternoon from cancer. She was 61.

Elizabeth Edwards, who as the wife of former Senator John Edwards gave America an intimate look at a candidate’s marriage by sharing his quest for the 2008 presidential nomination as she struggled with incurable cancer and, secretly, with his infidelity, died Tuesday morning at her home in Chapel Hill, N.C. She was 61.

Her family confirmed the death, saying Mrs. Edwards was surrounded by relatives when she died. A family friend said Mr. Edwards was present. On Monday, two family friends said that Mrs. Edwards’s cancer had spread to her liver and that doctors had advised against further medical treatment.

I was shocked to hear of her death this afternoon. I read her farewell Facebook post last night, but it didn’t occur to me that she would pass away less than 24 hours later. My prayers are with her family.

Here’s part of what she wrote on Facebook last night:

"You all know that I have been sustained throughout my life by three saving graces – my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope," Edwards wrote in the Facebook post. "These graces have carried me through difficult times and they have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined."

"…there are certainly times when we aren’t able to muster as much strength and patience as we would like," she added. "It’s called being human. But I have found that in the simple act of living with hope, and in the daily effort to have a positive impact in the world, the days I do have are made all the more meaningful and precious. And for that I am grateful. It isn’t possible to put into words the love and gratitude I feel to everyone who has and continues to support and inspire me every day. To you I simply say: you know."

John Edwards’s mistress Rielle Hunter spilled her guts to GQ Magazine about her affair with “Johnny.” Not only was/is John Edwards’s affair gross and unseemly, the woman he chose to sleep with is one of the dumbest broads on earth. She likes to use hippie new age speak that makes me want to hurl. Her suggestive and revealing pictorial also makes me want to hurl.
