L.A. Times Finally Notices Obama’s Thin Resume

Now that the election is over and “hope & change” is upon us, the L.A. Times decided to investigate and see just who this Barack Obama guy we elected really is — and what he’s done.
The conclusion — not a whole hell of a lot.
Prior to becoming the f*cking president, Barack Obama was a constitutional attorney as we’ve been told hundreds of times. However, he only actually worked as an attorney for four years. During that four year stint he only accrued 3,723 billable hours of legal work as an attorney for Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Gallard.
According to his former colleagues, Obama was a great writer and researcher but worked on relatively few cases and never rose above the level of junior associate.
Here’s the breakdown of Obama’s vast legal career before entering politics:
Total # of legal cases Obama was involved with — 30
Total # of years as a full-time attorney — 4
70% of cases dealt with voting rights, civil rights, and employment.
30% of cases dealt with real-estate transactions, filing incorporation papers, and defending clients against lawsuits.
Total # of billable hours accrued — 3,723 ( most young lawyers accrue approx. 2,000 hours per year )
Kudos to Warner Todd Huston at NewsBusters for pointing this story out and breaking it all down so that even the biggest “Hope & Change” sycophants can understand it.
I expect this L.A. Times article will be the first of many around the country expressing sudden shock that “The One” is a half-ass lawyer from Chicago that gives a good speech — and that’s pretty much it.
Way to go media!

Quotes From The Obama-Khalidi Tape Revealed?
Doug Ross has some very interesting information regarding the Obama-Khalidi tape the L.A. Times is suppressing so The One can get elected.
Ross says the same source who told him that all 6 of the undecided voters in the CNN sponsored primary debate were Democratic operatives has also given him info on the tape.
According to Ross’s source the reason the L.A. Times is refusing to release the tape is because of the incredibly damaging things Obama himself says:
Saw a clip from the tape. Reason we can’t release it is because statements Obama said to rile audience up during toast. He congratulates Khalidi for his work saying “Israel has no God-given right to occupy Palestine” plus there’s been “genocide against the Palestinian people by Israelis.”
It would be really controversial if it got out. That’s why they will not even let a transcript get out.
Everyone knows Obama is a Palestinian sympathizer which is why Palestinians are calling Americans encouraging them to vote for him. I have no doubt that Obama said exactly what Doug Ross’s source says he said.
The fact that the L.A. Times is suppressing those statements in order to get their man elected really shows just how dead journalism actually is.
Having said that, I don’t know what The Times is so worried about. If the tape came out, Obama would just call it a “distraction,” the media would smile and nod, and the election would go on — sans the Jewish vote of course.

Video: LA Times Won’t Release Video Of Obama Saluting Ex-PLO Member At Jew Bashing Dinner
This clip contains Fox News background on Rashid Khalidi and a description of the event where Obama saluted Khalidi saying, “It’s for that reason that I’m hoping that, for many years to come, we continue that conversation — a conversation that is necessary not just around Mona and Rashid’s dinner table.” Gateway Pundit notes the LA Times possession of the video and their response: “I asked him if he was planning on releasing this video of Obama toasting the radical Khalidi at this Jew-bash. He told me he was not releasing the video. He also would not comment on his source for the video.”

New Republic Finally Admits Baghdad Diariest Is A Lier
After many months of denial and stonewalling The New Republic has finally admitted that Scott Thomas Beauchamp is a lier. The so called “Baghdad Diarist” spun terrific tales of cruelty by U.S. troops in Iraq, which he has sense admitted to the Army were false.
“We cannot be confident that the events in his pieces occurred in exactly the manner that he described them,” Editor Franklin Foer wrote of the dispatches by Scott Thomas Beauchamp. “Without that essential confidence, we cannot stand by these stories.”
In the New Republic case, Foer acknowledged a key “mistake” in checking on whether Beauchamp lied or exaggerated in writing that U.S. soldiers had made fun of a disfigured woman, run over dogs for sport and played with an Iraqi child’s skeletal remains. Foer said Beauchamp’s wife, Elspeth Reeve, then a researcher at the magazine, was assigned “a large role” in checking the story. While Reeve acted in good faith, he said, “there was a clear conflict of interest.”
Foer said he recognizes that some of the corroboration was coming from “Beauchamp’s buddies” and that the private “sounded defensive and evasive” in trying to explain why he initially placed the allegedly disfigured woman in Iraq rather than Kuwait.

Torture: The New Abortion
An Op-Ed by Rosa Brooks in today’s L.A. Times suggests that the litmus test for nominees used to be the abortion issue, but now is torture.
Why can’t we just call this a compromise? The Democrats can have their abortions as long as we get to torture terrorists. I think that’s a pretty fair trade.
Brooks sarcastically asserts that the reason Rudy Giuliani is the current GOP favorite is because of his endorsement of torture, in spite of his pro-choice/pro-gay marriage positions.
She’s exactly right about that. Republicans are willing to do whatever it takes to win the war on terror and Democrats are not.
I hope the new litmus test for nominees is torture, because I could never support any candidate that doesn’t have the guts to do what’s necessary to defeat our enemies.
You can’t fight a wolf if you’re gonna act like a sheep. The Democrats have shown that they’re a bunch of sheep and shouldn’t be trusted to defend this country under any circumstances.
Joe Lieberman was the only Democrat left with any balls and they kicked him out of the party.
L.A. Times Carrying Water for Scott Beauchamp The Lier
For some reason the media just can’t stop carrying water for The New Republic over Scott Beauchamp the lier. The left wing media continues to rally around TNR desperately clinging to the hope that Beauchamp’s lies will somehow become true.
The latest TNR apologist and Scott Beauchamp cheerleader is Tim Rutten who wrote a ridiculous piece for the L.A. Times. It was riddled with inaccuracies and distortions that Confederate Yankee was kind enough to list one at a time. Take a look.
