CBS’s Lara Logan Says She’s Pregnant, Plans To Marry Contractor
One of our most popular posts last month was the one about CBS news hottie Lara Logan and her romantic trysts around the world. Howard Kurtz has the full story straight from Logan herself in today’s Washington Post. Probably the biggest bombshell is her admission that she’s pregnant. The father is a U.S. contractor working in Iraq who’s married and has a 3-year old child.
His wife has filed for divorce and is accusing Logan in court papers of wrecking their marriage and stealing her husband. She was apparently so distraught over the break-up of the marriage that she attempted suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills.
Logan says the pregnancy was unplanned and must have happened just before she left Iraq in April. She didn’t think she could even get pregnant due to the loss of one of her fallopian tubes some years back. However, she says she’s looking forward to being a mother and plans to marry the contractor as soon as his divorce is finalized.
I understand that things happen sometimes, but you’d think the married guy could keep it in his pants while he’s away from his wife–at least for his daughter’s sake. It seems pretty selfish to ruin your marriage and break-up your family just for a little sex.
Before she marries him, Logan should consider that he cheated on his wife to be with her. Which means that if confronted with a similar situation in the future, he would likely cheat on her and break up their family as well.
CBS’s Lara Logan Involved In Baghdad Sex Scandal?
CBS News Chief Foreign Correspondent and resident firecracker, Lara Logan, is apparently not only breaking stories from war torn Iraq, but hearts as well.
According to a National Enquirer report, Logan is at the center of a bitter divorce between Joe and Kimberly Burkett. Joe Burkett is a U.S. State Department contractor who was in Baghdad alongside Logan, which is reportedly where the affair began. From the National Enquirer:
The ENQUIRER has learned exclusively that CBS Evening News and 60 Minutes foreign correspondent, Lara Logan, has been named as the “other woman” in a Texas couple Joe and Kimberly Burkett’s bitter divorce.
Burkett’s wife Kimberly, 32, was so distraught with his cheating that she took an overdose of Valium
Kimberly Burkett’s attorney Susie Chmielowiec told The ENQUIRER, “Kimberly believes Lara stole her husband – and now they’re trying to steal her little girl.”
And in a twist that’s as shocking as any story Lara has covered, sources are charging she also had another affair, and her two lovers got into a brutal battle over her in Baghdad!
Sources charge that the Emmy winning Logan began her affair with 36-year-old U.S. State Department contractor, Burkett in war-torn Baghdad.
Clearly one has to be at least slightly skeptical when the story is coming from the National Enquirer, but after Logan’s irritating performance a few days ago on John Stewart she’s due for a little jazz from the Blogosphere.
Having said that, the story goes on to allege that Logan’s intimate encounters don’t stop there.
And yet another scandal brews in the steamy mix: Lara’s reported romance with a star CNN correspondent – whose jealousy exploded in a battle royal with Burkett in a Baghdad “safe house.”
“Not only is Lara having a torrid affair with a married man – she apparently has more than one lover!” Chmielowiec charged to The ENQUIRER.
When CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric heard about Lara’s sexual shenanigans, she blew a gasket!
Again, this is from the National Enquirer so it could all be complete bullsh*t. However, that’s for you to read and decide for yourself.
