For those who don&#8217;t know who Michael Yon is, your really missing out. Yon is a former special forces soldier turned blogger who has literally been living embedded with the troops in Iraq since 2004.</p><p>He first deployed with the Army&#8217;s 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment (Deuce Four) of the 25th Infantry Division to Mosul, Iraq. He stayed stayed embedded with the Deuce Four until the end of their deployment in 2005. His reporting from that time will be a major part of an upcoming movie starring Bruce Willis about the Deuce Four&#8217;s deployment to Iraq.</p><p>He continues to cover the war day after day <a href="http://michaelyon-online.com/" target="_blank">on his website</a>, writing some of the most descriptive and compelling pieces you&#8217;ll read anywhere.</p><p>Yon is a true patriot who writes about the progress in Iraq from the standpoint of someone who&#8217;s literally living it day after day.
